  1. Has anyone heard from @lego_guyon02 lately? He had all the inside scoop in last year’s sets. I wonder if he’s heard any additional details about this year’s. I am over the moon with excitement at this wave, but I have some questions… questions that need answering!
  2. I’m fascinated to see if LEGO releases a new suggested layout illustration for this Hogwarts system. It’s obviously designed to be customizable, but I’m curious to see how they thought it should all lay out.
  3. It doesn’t sound like the Sirius Escape set is a tower this time around - rather it’s a 24 stud wide modular set probably representing the scene in the courtyard where Sirius and Harry say goodbye. I thought it was a remake of the original tower set too at first.
  4. I think maybe the Sirius set is meant to stack under the Clocktower / hospital wing set and Dumbledore’s office is a new style building that turns the layout inward at a 90’ angle rather than continue to build vertically or horizontally edit - Ninja’d by @Retro Brick Reviews
  5. Just reread the description - I think you are right. Sounds like it’s more there to allow the new modular Hogwarts layout to begin to become a square rather than just a continuous straight line of castle elements.
  6. agreed! I imagine that Dumbledores office has been designed to stack with the upcoming Hospital Wing - it sounds like it has the same hinged features. I wonder if we could be getting an open winged Fawkes… It sounds like there is still some confusion over all the minifigs and new elements in these sets.
  7. You are relatively new to this forum. There are many of us who have been on here since 2018. You cannot claim that there is “nothing anyone has been asking for” on this list. Some of us have been predicting and wishlisting these sets for years. Try not to be so nasty.
  8. you’re factually wrong on several counts here - didn’t you see we are getting at least three Death Eaters in the MoM set? no need to be so nasty
  9. As someone who has been wishfully predicting a thestral foal set with Luna since 2018 - that first bit of news immediately set the tone for me. I absolutely love this line up. Give us Grimmauld Place as the $119 set and Gringott’s as the D2C and this will be my favorite wave yet. Bring on the minifig leaks!

  11. I don’t think that is a coincidence. Sirius-ly and a full moon… It may be a stretch but I think they’re hinting that we are finally getting Shrieking Shack with a new Sirius and werewolf Lupin!
  12. Speaking of quotes… the official Promobricks Instagram account just posted a screenshot of @BrickBob Studpants and @Roebuck quotes about the UCS Dobby’s Sock! https://instagram.com/stories/promobricks/2771587568595168118?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&utm_medium=copy_link
  13. This is absolutely incredible. Hands down, my favorite moc to date. It respects the original designs of the LEGO team and maintains their integrity, while just adding a few extra elements to create a complete Hogwarts layout. Really well done. Will you be selling instructions?
  14. Been a while since I posted here, but today’s news about FB3 - The Secrets of Dumbledore - compounded with the revelation that LEGO Wizarding World could be one of the 4 CMF releases next year has me hyped. I imagine Warner Brothers is planning to go all out with their marketing and licensing campaigns for this film. Reports indicate the studio sees Secrets of Dumbledore as their opportunity to relaunch the FB franchise following disappointing returns for Crimes of Grindelwald. We also just learned that Jurassic World Dominion is getting a whopping 10 LEGO sets to coincide with that movie’s release next year - the biggest wave of licensed LEGO sets to ever be released alongside a new film. From a sales and marketing perspective, all of these factors point to us getting a bunch of new Fantastic Beasts sets next year as part of the LEGO Wizarding World 2022 wave - including a potential CMF series with at least a portion of the minifigs coming from FB. What sets and minifigs do you all think we could be getting? I think we can agree that a buildable Niffler set is all but guaranteed (groan), but I’d also love to see Newt’s London townhome with the magic zoo in the basement (maybe something similar to the LEGO Lockwood Manor set), the British Ministry of Magic, the Circus Arcanus w a Zouwu, the LeStrange Mausoleum, etc...
  15. For those who have seen the trailer - would you mind sharing where you found it? I have been scouring the web trying to find this thing. Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated- thanks!
  16. Do you already have set names and/or set descriptions for the 2022 wave?? I suppose that is possible since the sets were originally planned for 2021 release but were just delayed... but that still seems really early. Any more info you can share?
  17. I screamed when I saw this on Instagram earlier - so exciting. Who do we think this little feathered guy is? Deinonychus? The scale is throwing me off here... is that the dead Mosasaurus washed up on shore? Or just a Sperm Whale? So many questions! Questions that need answering... I was already happy with this year’s LEGO sets, but now my mind is swimming with all the possibilities of next year’s sets.
  18. They’re supposed to be randomized but, funnily enough, I also got a Lockhart chocolate frog card in bag 3 with Lockhart’s classroom and the Lockhart minifig. Hmmm...
  19. Ah... good point! I’m still going to cling to my hopes for a surprise set or two - however unrealistic they may be!
  20. I didn’t realize that - thanks for clarifying. Regardless, Marcos does mention “some other players that are missing dot dot dot” in his designer interview which seems to indicate there is more than one golden minifig coming... And didn’t we already see a gold Draco hairpiece leak? I highly doubt that LEGO will wait three more years to release Gringott’s when the D2C Diagon Alley is on store shelves now and the demand / potential sales momentum is higher for this set than ever
  21. Does anyone else find it strange that only 1 set has been slated for an August 1st release? Obviously, the D2C will be coming out later this year, as well, followed by the Advent Calendar on September 1 but the single solitary set release in August just seems a bit... odd. I have a feeling that we may be in store for a surprise set or two later this summer... In the designer interview, Marcos is asked about the gold minifigs and mentions that “...maybe there are some other players that are missing...” indicating that there is more than one gold minifig left to be revealed. I think we can all agree that a golden Dumbledore is all but guaranteed at this point. But what about a golden Draco? Or a golden Hagrid? Even a golden McGonagall? I have a strong feeling that, including the rumored D2C, there are 3-4 LEGO Harry Potter sets left to be revealed. If I had to wager a guess on what sets LEGO may still have hidden up its Wizard sleeve, I would would say: - Hogwarts Icons (gold Dumbledore) - Gringott’s Bank (gold Draco) - The Dark Forest (gold Hagrid) - Troll in the Dungeon (gold McGonagall) The Icons and Gringott’s sets have already been discussed ad nauseum, but one set that appears to be missing is the “forest” style set that we get every year. There was an Aragog set called the Dark Forest in the original 2001-2002 lineup but as we already have that set, I think a smallish set with Harry, Draco, a new Fang mold, maybe a Black Centaur (Bane), and a cloaked Quirrel would be perfect. The other set we are missing from the original 2001-2002 lineup is the Troll in the Dungeon set. I can see something similar in scale to the Flying Lesson set that is less focused on the castle build and more focused on the Mountain Troll and some kind of bathroom stall destroying action. What do other folks think? If there are in fact a few more set that LEGO has in store for us this year, what do you hope we get? EDIT: another possibility I can see is a Borgin and Burke’s / Knockturn Alley set... Seeing as how we got Mr Borgin
  22. It’s 12:02 am EST and none of the sets are available to “Add to Bag” in the US. It must be 12am PST... Update - I’ve now been placed in a queue on LEGO’s site and there are 1667 people in the queue with me. Is this normal? Update 2 - I was able to get in after waiting in the queue for about 7 minutes and I ordered all of the sets I wanted: the Chamber of Secrets, Polyjuice Potion Mistake, Fluffy Encounter, and Hogsmeade Village Visit. I already picked up Wizard’s Chess Set at Target today. The only other sets I really wanted were the Flying Lesson and the Diagon Alley Accessory Pack but they both still say “Coming Soon” on LEGO’s site.
  23. Picked up the Wizard’s Chess Set at my local Target. They also had the Fawkes and the Harry & Hermione sets. Can one of my fellow Americans please remind me what time the sets go on sale tonight? Is it 12am EST or 12am PST? I’m so excited to get my hands on these sets!
  24. I love this set and would buy it in a heartbeat. Well done. What I’ve envisioned in my mind is something very similar. I thought it was interesting that the T Rex fossil (at least the skull) seemed relatively small in relation to Blue on the show but it makes sense in the context of a play set. How do you envision the “When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth” banner? I wonder what kind of brick they will print it on or (more likely) have us apply it as a sticker to...
