Agreed; no Biggs is another L for this set. -

Yavin is interesting - Not bad by any means, but not as spectacular as I was hoping that it would be. The top portion of the temple looks better than the bottom since it has more texture, but I will need to see it from other angles before I make a final determination. The Minifigs are honestly mid; Celebration Luke and Leia are great to get (the latter especially, since Luke wears his yellow jacket often in post-ANH comics), but half of the Minifigs being the core six (none of whom have dual-moulding or arm printing!), and two of the others being fairly cheap reuses, make me feel like I could cobble this together on BrickLink. Helmets for Red Leader and Gold Leader are good, as well as a new torso for the Rebel ground crew, but why do the pilots not have the dual-moulded legs from the UCS X-wing?? Also, we should have gotten a white visor for the crewman's helmet, since there is an ugly notch without one. At least one more Fleet Trooper and ground crewman should have been included, and we should have gotten a control centre technician and an Honor Guard (a forgivable omission only if we get a Rebel Battle Pack in 1HY 2024 with 2x Fleet Troopers, 1x Technician, and 1x Honor Guard). The midi Y-wing is actually not bad, but the less said about that "tree", the better! 😬 Remind me how much this will be? -

Not the best wave, but also not the worst. Yoda's Starfighter does look good, but it also looked good back in 2017 when we got it before; I have that version, so there is nothing drawing me to this one. It is not a bad set, just a weird choice of a remake with nothing new to draw in people who bought the original (e.g. a Jedi Temple Guard, Darth Bane, or even just dual-moulded tan/olive green legs for Yoda). Thank the kriffing maker!! Had the price remained at $27, I would have raged! 🤬 The Clones look like we all expected them to (jetpacks aside, which are a nice surprise), and they look good (visor printing for Vaughn was realistically never going to happen, so I am not let down by its absence). The ISP itself is small (it needs to be one stud wider on each side and one stud longer overall), but it looks better than the last one that we got; I would have preferred it to be dark red over the blue that we are getting, but the parts in-question are readily available and there are no stickers, so modding is just a matter of digging through our spare parts bins. I also like the use of those flat quarter-dome parts, which look better and more accurate than any prior design. -

Definitely prelim - The blurred pic of Sora's mech posted by @Lego_Minecraft_Goat showed a dark blue brick separator and (possibly) Arin's Spinjitzu tornado (both of which are absent from the new image). The blue on the mech in Goat's picture also looks brighter, and it seems to have less white. -

The Batman buildable figure leaked; it is surprisingly not as cursed as the Cap and Logan figures, but the ears sit too far back on the cowl. -

Nat's torso and legs look good, but the lack of arm printing is a major L (especially for AoU Widow!). Cap and Wolverine buildable figures leaked. . . 😬 -

I know that they are reliable, but they also only know the names and part-counts for some of the sets. Additionally, they state in their description of the 30650 polybag that they do not know if Rapton is a Minifig or a dragon, so they obviously have not seen any box art with characters' names (since Rapton has been revealed to be "not-Krux"). -

I love this! Characters (L-R): - Back Row: Zane, Kai, Kid Lloyd, Cole, Jay (all pre-SoG designs) - Front: Nya, ??? (Maybe 'Wyldfire'?), Arin, Lloyd, Kai / Baby Dragon and Sora above For context, "All-New, All-Different" was the tagline for Marvel comics from 2015-2019, which featured teams comprised of a mix of new legacy characters (such as Kamala Khan, X-23, and Miles Morales) and established characters (including Iron Man, Black Panther, Peter Parker, etc); it seems that LEGO is going in this direction for Dragons Rising. 👍 I have been wondering about this, as well - Are we sure that the Minifig lists are entirely accurate? Perhaps Nya was mistaken for Jay, since her new suit is mostly blue. 🤔 I agree - Usually this level of hype and trailer-analysis is reserved for properties such as Marvel and Star Wars! -

I can see that. What would Sora's be? I am currently calling it 'technokinesis', but it could actually be magnetism (there was an Elemental Master of magnetism cut from early drafts of the Tournament of Elements). -

The trademarks for Pharaoh' Quest (Exp. 2032) and Hidden Side (Exp. 2029) are still active as well, so this may not be a confirmation of Chima's return. 😕 That said, there is nothing to keep LEGO from incorporating Chima characters and lore into Dragons Rising. -

Agreed. 👍 That, or we flash forward to the pie scene and get exposition via present-day dialogue. I expect the montage to be after the pie, but before the nighttime scenes (get part -> build mech -> relax and take in the view). The day of the race comes next (racing scenes), and A&S somehow run afoul of the Imperium, leading to the standoff at the end of Ep. 1. My guess is that they find Baby Dragon (maybe after the scene of him being shot at while scampering across a roof?), and the Imperium comes to take him. Good call! 👍 Maybe the Hound is tracking Baby Dragon, which is what sets the Imperium after A&S? I am not sure that he would be confused, given the level of technology that he and the Imperium are working with. I also am not sure that he is happy to be getting revenge on the Ninja as much as he is happy to finally have caught Baby Dragon (and A&S). Rapton is visible in the shot of the Dragon Hunter Hound's powerup, the bridge scene, and the train scene, so he is probably tired of chasing them at this point! I would love to see Chi integrated into Ninjago; not only would it give the characters a new kind of powerup (and associated line of gimmick sets), the concept of a natural energy source called "chi" fits the setting of Ninjago quite well. Source?? -

Another Netflix synopsis: "Two teenagers from different worlds use their newly discovered Ninja powers to defend dragons from villains who want to use their life-force for evil." This confirms that Sora will be from a different realm (since Arin is from Ninjago), and that both characters will have powers. -

I am beginning to think that we have only seen footage of the first 2-3 episodes. A lot of the trailer shots seem to be part of the same scenes, and the timestamps on the images released by Netflix put them in the first two episodes. The shot of Arin kicking Ras is at 19 minutes of Ep. 1, the shot of Rapton and two Raz warriors running through a tunnel is from two minutes into Ep. 2, and the shot of Arin, Sora, and Baby Dragon (possibly in the Monastery or the Bounty?) is from sometime in Ep. 2. Some speculation: - Trailer 1 shot at 0:26 (Ras jumping onto Sora's bike), Trailer 2 shot at 0:29 (Ras' shockwave attack), the Arin vs. Ras still, and the Trailer 2 shot at 0:38 (Sora and Arin flying away), are all part of the same scene. We can see Baby Dragon at 0:30 of Trailer 2, so we know that all three main characters of DR have met and are fighting the Imperium by the end of Ep. 1 (the shot of the Rempress (0:24 of Trailer 1) may also be in Ep. 1, since she is talking to Ras via her collapsible floating holo-screen hexagon). - The Rapton still appears to show the train from 0:09 in Trailer 2, so this is probably the opening scene of Ep. 2 (I am guessing that we are seeing the interior of an Imperium facility, given the colour-scheme). - All shots of A&S working on the mech are probably from the same episode, along with the Frogman shot (the pie is almost certainly the "alternative form of payment" mentioned in the 2T1L, and is probably in return for mech parts); I suspect that the mech race scenes are also from this episode. - Sora gives her mech a literal glow-up at 0:43 of Trailer 1, and it can be seen glowing at 0:56 of Trailer 1; the background of the scene of Sora's technokinesis is the same location as the rock monster scenes at 0:15 and 0:56 of Trailer 2, but the mech is not glowing at T2 0:56. I am predicting that A&S will encounter the rock monsters, briefly fight them, meet their leader (the one with the spiky head at T2 0:15), and Sora will unlock her power all in the same episode (this is also probably where the 2T1L scene of the Ninja eating mud takes place). - We can tell the order of events from Sora's mech, as well; since the glow-up occurs in the rock monsters' domain, the shot of it glowing while Lloyd fights Starro in the Cloud Kingdom (T1 0:56) must take place later. This also means that the shots of A&S captured and being rescued by Lloyd are from earlier (maybe Ep. 2, considering the Rapton scene from very early in that episode?). - All shots of the Bounty flying through the mountains are likely from the same sequence, as well as the scenes of the dragons in the same mountains, and of the Imperium chasing the Bounty and capturing said dragons. The Ninja are probably flying to the Cloud Kingdom during this scene, since there are heavy clouds above the mountains, and the Bounty is seen breaking through dense clouds at T2 0:18. - The shot of Nya at T1 0:48 takes place as the Ninja approach the Cloud Kingdom, since the Core ice dragons that fly overhead are seen landing in the CK at T2 0:34. - The shot of Arin using Spinjitzu against the Zurg bots is obviously after Lloyd trains him at the Monastery. Regarding the last shot in the third trailer: -

I think that Arin's Ninja suit will be homemade; looking at his torso in the leaked Minifig image, it appears that he is wearing the same orange hoodie that he wears in the trailers, so he probably cobbles together a suit from his hoodie, Lloyd's old mask, some stolen Imperium warrior horns, etc. I also wonder if Sora's robot arm is built from Imperium tech, given its gold colour and similar armour detailing. -

Two teens - one Male, one Female - and their cute creature sidekick embark on an adventure, and are trained in a special ability by older mentors - Which theme did I just describe? Hidden Side? Dreamzzz? LEGO has retooled their flagship in-house theme to fit the current action theme series formula, so the status quo of the original Ninjago show does not really matter going forward. I fully expect Arin and Sora to stick around, as they are the protagonists of the new series; Wu will also almost certainly die, since he is now a redundant character (he was the mentor to the original Ninja, but that role for A&S has now been taken over by Lloyd). Since the Imperium hunting down dragons to gut them for some kind of energy-pearls is just a bit too dark for LEGO, I am beginning to think that they are actually some kind of technology that stores and harnesses dragons' powers (possibly what we see Top Hat Guy holding?). As such, I think that you are right that the temple is the villains' headquarters. Wait. Sora's mech is almost identical to the other racing mechs, so waiting and copying the design of the official set is probably the best way to go. Probably just another of the gold or PDG warriors; I think that we have seen all of the main villain characters by now. I can definitely see that, and the transformation looks suspiciously like a Chima Chi powerup. . . 🤔 Gold, actually, and I doubt that - Remember that Killow is Human, so we have seen bigger differences between Human characters than some sharp (probably metal) teeth. -

I suspect that the changes will stick; the writers have made it very clear that this is not a new season but a new show, so I doubt that they would create a world of massive potential just to throw it away. Additionally, with Tommy Andreasen no longer working on the series, the new writers can take the show in whatever direction they want. -

I doubt it; Harumi's adoptive mother already had grey hair back in SoG, while the Empress in Dragons Rising is significantly younger-looking. Also, the Ninjago royal family had no real power, so I am not sure how they would gather an army of high-tech warriors/hunters. More likely whoever is the Raz army's leader has declared herself Empress after conquering Ninjago. -

It seems that both the guy with the beard and eyepatch and the 'robot' (actually a Human in a suit) are good guys. The dual-moulding and detailed printing look brilliant, as do the new hairpieces. I wonder how faithfully the characters' weapons will be translated into brick form.
