LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Mythosaur guy is an individual (despite the asset being reused in the background of some shots), so I would prefer to get him in a larger set (i.e. not a battle pack). The Death Watch variant with yellow lines on the helmet is an Airborne unit, and they make the most sense to appear in a battle pack of the three specialist types (as they would use the existing Mando jetpack piece), and the standard DW warrior would give LEGO an opportunity to finally make a proper Fett jetpack piece! Hopefully we get a Death Watch/Mandalorian Loyalists pack at some point in the future (ideally with 1x regular trooper, 1x Airborne, and 2x female Nite Owls). After having built my backlog of Mando S3 packs, I think I know why LEGO is going with this breakdown. The Mandalorians in that set look similar enough to the TCW ones (and the shade of blue matches TCW Bo-Katan even better than her Mando ‘fig); including 332nd Clones in the SoM battle pack allows all three factions involved to be built via the two packs that are available (the Mando one does not have a retirement date listed on Brickset yet, so I can see it staying in production alongside the TCW pack), while also doubling as a Clone pack and giving the Imperial Armored Commandos a numerical advantage over the Mandalorian resistance forces. Source on dual-moulding being phased out?? That would be terrible if true, but I am not sure I buy it given that the Death Slice has dual-moulded Stormtrooper helmets and officers’ caps (one of which is actually a recolour, with brown hair). -
“Ye claimin’ doctor be a fact, but ye bein’ doctor cannae be proven - Thar be a difference.” “First, if ye be tellin’ th’ truth, whoever ye protected would ‘ave a point towards their loyalty. Second, ye made a claim with naught but a ‘trust me, mate’ backin’ it up, the got yerself defensive when pressed fo’ elaboration.” “Be Eagle scum or no, ye seem t’ think Duncan be a Redcoat - Why, then, would ye try an’ change yer vote? Methinks ye be scum, an’ yer protectin’ yer mate Duncan by bein’ so bloody scummy - Ye walk th’ plank, then Duncan looks loyal fo’ bein’ against ye.” “Panic be a sign o’ scum too, mate - Good try contrastin’ yer response wit’ Hammond’s, though.”
-
“‘Tis true, One-Leg lied about unvotin’ - But why’d he, is me own question. He be Redcoat scum, no doubt, but if ye be right that Duncan’s loyal, why would a Redcoat draw votes off o’ a pirate? He could jus’ as easily ‘ave switched his vote to ye, an’ a pirate’d still be walkin’ th’ plank tonight.” “Nay; methinks Duncan be scum, an’ One-Leg be tryin’ a trick t’ get us t’ trust Duncan after he himself be voted down t’ Davy Jones’ Locker!” “Not from where I be standin’ - One-Leg be scum, but I cannae say ye be in th’ clear yourself. Who did ye protect?” “While I ‘ave me suspicions about Duncan, One-Leg can only be scum, what wit’ his obvious lie an’ all!” Unvote: Duncan “Parrot-Keeper” Gage (def) Vote: James “One-Leg” Hammond (Trekkie99)
-
“Right, an’ I’m th’ bloody King o’ England! I’ll play, though - Who’d ye protect, ol’ sawbones?” “What ye mean?” “Ye both be arguin’ semantics, but you Duncan be the scummier o’ th’ two!”
-
“I agree wit’ ye - Methinks they tried startin’ a bandwagon on Eagle yesterday, then he Duncan got cold feet fro’ th’ attention it drew, so he tried throwin’ his mate Cassidy under t’ draw suspicion off th’ other, should one o’ ‘em be made t’ walk th’ plank.” “Eagle’s a bit suspicious too, wit’ his general unhelpfulness, so should th’ scum be less organised, he be me choice fo’ th’ second Redcoat amongst us - He Duncan be too scummy fo’ us t’ ignore, though!” Vote: Duncan “Parrot-Keeper” Gage (def)
-
“Th’ lynch o’ a pirate, combined wit’ a nighttime kill by th’ scum, would be a win fo’ th’ Redcoats by morn o’ day two - I merely am bein’ cautious, is all.” “Th’ assumption Cannonball’s death clears Cassidy o’ suspicion is suspect in itself, methinks, as yer not considerin’ th’ possibility it may be a ruse.” “Come to think o’ it, how ye figure we got two days? By me own count, ‘twould only be one, shouldna we get a Redcoat ‘n today’s lynch!”
-
“I don’t be followin’ yer line o’ reasonin’ - Be ye sayin’ his death limits what we can infer fro’ it? ‘Tis possible, though methinks th’ clearin’ angle holds mo’ water, so to speak.” “Rum in front o’ me, doncha mean? Wine be fo’ Bluecoats, mate!”
-
“Aye, that it would - Unless ye be wantin’ t’ throw suspicion off o’ ye’self. Even odds, I say, whether ye be loyal o’ scum.” “I be findin’ th’ rush t’ clear Cassidy a mite suspicious - Not t’ mention th’ lockstep o’ you Duncan, and Cassidy. A bit o’ yer colours be showin’, an’ they be red methinks.” “Actionable information matters only if ye be a loyal pirate - Do ye think we’ve a killer on our side, an’ they jus’ hit the wrong target?”
-
“Blimey! An’ here I be thinkin’ thar wouldna be a kill on th’ first night! Might the privateer scum be hopin’ t’ get a lynch ‘n their favour today, puttin’ this little game t’ an end by th’ morrow?”
-
“That they do - An’ ye be startin’ one. . . “
-
“What we think th’ privateers’ strategy be? Target one they ken t’ be loyal, or wait an’ jump a wagon-o’-bands once a vote arises from natural suspicion?” “Either may be th’ case, but t’ ensure no’one’s ganged-up off th’ gangplank, methinks I’ll Vote: Duncan “Parrot-Keeper” Gage (def). Duncan (@def), ‘ave ye anythin’ t’ say?”
-
“Cannonball (@Tariq j), what say ye?”
-
“Whilst I agree wit’ th’ sentiment, Duncan, we cannae risk killin’ a loyal, honest, Pirate on aught but a hunch. Methinks th’ privateer scum ‘ave but two ‘n their number, an’ jus’ one kill betwixt ‘em - Anythin’ more, and we’d be ‘n Davy Jones’ Locker by morn!” “My two-pence, fo’ what it be worth, is we ought investigate Eagle during’ th’ night - should we ‘ave one amongst us loyal lot wit’ such an ability - an’ save th’ plank for th’ morrow.”

I mean that we should be getting two versions of Vader - One ANH, and one RotJ. I was mostly referring to the placement of the robe in relation to the armour (ANH has robe over armour, while RotJ has armour over robe). You are right that the current Vader Minifig is not accurate to any specific design, as he has the green chest box light from RotS/ANH, but the red switch (and placement thereof) of ESB/RotJ. -

Probably about the same thickness, but upon reflection, printing would probably be sufficient. I wonder if it will be a vertically-cut hemisphere? The set could be designed to mount on a wall, but also have interior scenes that are visible if displayed on a table. This gives multiple display options, and actually makes more sense than a giant ball or a big Kenner-style playset diorama. -

Lineup, as of the most recent pic: - Luke (ANH farmboy) - Luke (ANH Stormtrooper disguise) - Luke (RotJ final duel) - Leia (ANH) - Han (ANH) - Han (ANH Stormtrooper disguise) - Chewbacca - Obi-Wan (ANH) - C-3PO - R2-D2 - Darth Vader (//ANH// RotJ) - Palpatine (RotJ) - “Imperial Dignitary” (RotJ) - Yularen (ANH) - Motti (ANH) - Tagge (ANH) - Krennic (R1) - Galen Erso (R1) - 5D6-RA-7 Protocol Droid (ANH) - Stormtrooper (5x) - Death Star gunner (2x) - Imperial technician/Scanning crew (2x) - Shuttle pilot/Security officer (ANH, RotJ - 1x) - Royal Guard (RotJ - 2x) - Astromech droid (ANH - Either R3-T6 or R3-A2, depending on whether the print is red or reddish orange) - Hot Tub Stormtrooper (1x) Tarkin is also confirmed via the first leaked pic, so he must be one of the covered ‘figs in the second (possibly the first on line 2?), and there are a total of six Minifigs either covered or cropped in the second pic. Presumed missing Minifigs: - Tarkin (confirmed in the set), line 2 - Stormtrooper (sixth overall), line 3 - Imperial Navy Trooper (2x), line 4 - Security/Stormtrooper officer Captain 1x), line 4 - TIE Pilot (1x), line 4 //I can also see RotJ Vader being on line 2 (ANH is confirmed via the first pic, but the torso is difficult to make out on the second; RotJ also makes sense for the final duel section, and can be included via a reuse of the existing Minifig), pushing Tarkin to line 3 (in place of a sixth Stormtrooper).// The placement of Minifigs in order from named to generic also rules out Bast, Romodi, or Jerjerrod (as the only possible slots for them are on line 4). Thank the maker and the Great Bird of the Galaxy!! This makes “Imperial Dignitary” even stranger, though, since if they had made Guinan’s hat without the moulded hair (inaccurate, but not unacceptably so), Kren Blista-Vanee could have reused it. Regardless, we should have at least gotten Janus Greejatus (the most prominent advisor, alongside Sim Aloo aka “Imperial Dignitary”), especially since he shares a hat mould with Sate Pestage. 😐 At least Grand Admirals Sloan and Rax can be made from existing pieces, so no major loss in that respect. Uh, conference room??? The detention block would make a better playset than diorama, but it also has not appeared outside of the MBS set. While I agree, it is just yet another point against the most expensive LEGO set to-date. 😠 Edit: Upon closer inspection of the first images, Vader is actually RotJ, not ANH! 🤬 This makes him yet another lazy reuse, and we still do not have an ANH Vader in production! I really just hope that the ANH torso does not get paywalled behind the GWP, though I can absolutely see that happening now!! -

The helmet looks antiquated next to the more modern ones, as does the Minifig’s overall design (no apparent leg printing, the Harry Potter cape, etc) - The helmet is too large and thick (and the visor groove is unsightly), and the ‘chin’ extends too far over the torso (it should be tall, slender, and only cover a quarter of the torso rather than a third). Ideally, an updated version would have (printed) dark red torso and legs, a new red cloak element (either cloth or vinyl), and an updated (either dual-moulded or solid and printed) helmet; that said, I would also be OK with just a new helmet and printed skirt paired with the existing torso. -
“Methinks they ‘ave, One-Leg, as privateers - All the rum an’ gold o’ a pirate’s life, wit’ none o’ the imperial. . . entanglements, shall we say? Even th’ dread Cap’n Foul never stooped so low!” “Ye never heard o’ spirits, boy? . . . They says the seven seas be haunted by those o’ sailors an’ scallywags who’ve th’ misfortune o’ dyin’ so far from land - But don’ ye worry, the ol’ Dark Shark’s weathered many a squall in ‘er time!”

OK - Where to start?? 😠 Palpatine should have the classic hood piece; “Imperial Dignitary” needs skirt printing, and his being unnamed means that we are only getting one of Palpatine’s advisors (which is a major missed opportunity, as a $1,000 Death Star is the perfect place for a multitude of Glup Shittos); the Royal Guard is woefully outdated now, and in need of a full redesign (new dual-moulded helmet, printed skirt piece); Krennic does not appear to have leg printing, which makes his holster cut off awkwardly (it should extend onto the leg, as Dedra Meero’s does); Galen Erso should have printed arms, but I doubt that he will; the lack of dual-moulded legs for Han and farmboy Luke is bad enough, but Tarkin/Motti/Tagge having solid grey legs (instead of the currently-in-production dual-moulded ones!!) is absolutely kriffing unacceptable (and C-3PO’s lack of a dual-moulded right leg is is similarly infuriating); Yularen has white legs (rather than the correct black), which though a minor issue, is again an absurd oversight for such a set (though at least they refer to him by the correct rank now 😐). Also, given the placement of figures in the lineup, I doubt that we will get Bast or Romodi (though they could be on a page with Navy Troopers and a Security captain (4 blue)). For the positives, I am glad we are finally some getting new desirable Imperials, as well as updates of ones already produced; Vader’s torso is new (his ANH design!), so hopefully this version will reappear in less expensive sets; the ANH heroes (plus RotJ Luke) have updated designs as well, so again I expect them to appear in future sets; the generic Imperial personnel (Hot Tub Stormtrooper aside) all seem to reuse Minifigs/parts from the ISD (the shuttle pilot appears to have the Navy Trooper torso and black officer’s cap), so BrickLink prices on them should not be any higher than they are now; finally, SDA-RA-7 looks good. Just as an aside, I would be willing to bet gold-pressed latinum that the “Imperial Dignitary” hat gets reused for Guinan in the Enterprise-D, as it is close enough to one of the purple hats she wore that I can see LEGO using it for her (in fact, it would not be surprised if the ability to use a new weird hat mould for two Minifigs is the only reason that we got “Imperial Dignitary” in the first place!). The age ranges on those are too low for anything like a TIE Avenger or the Fondor, so definitely “calibrate your enthusiasm” (NOT a hint - Just a good bit of advice!). -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
True, though his skin is typically lighter when he has the red/green suit, and darker in his grey/black suit depictions (from what I have seen, at least) - The existing Damian Wayne Minifigs are actually fine skin tone-wise, but grey/black Damian should definitely have had darker skin. Cassandra Cain (as Orphan) would only require a new torso print (as leg or arm printing is unrealistic, sadly), and could reuse Sabine Wren’s head. 🫤 -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Clayface could have reused the VIDIYO slime headgear piece (most recently used for Z-Blob in Dreamzzz), if the part is still in production, so I am not sure why he was not included. That said, excluding Clayface is probably the least confusing and/or lazy Minifig decision in this set - Batwoman should have had dual-moulded legs, Batwing is an odd character to include, Damian should have darker skin, Bane and Killer Croc should have been shirtless, and leg printing for the jumpsuits is an unnecessary waste of a ‘change’. 🫤 -

“Ahoy, mates! I hear thar be renegades in our midst - No matter, we’ll have ‘em walkin’ the plank ‘fore our next port o’ call!”, Percy said, giving his pistol a few twirls as he leaned casually against the railing of the Black Seas Barracuda. -

The Maul series had better get sets!! 😡 I am still pissed that TBB was basically ignored (which was a very strange decision given LEGO’s recent Clone focus!) - We should have at least gotten a V-wing, Rho-class shuttle, Juggernaut (A9), and some battle packs (one with 2x TK Troopers, 1x Elite Squad Trooper, and 1x Clone Commando (plain) would be enough to cover the main troopers that appear in the series). Back on-topic, here is the price list for the January 2026 wave (as I do not see it anywhere here): - 75421: $69.99, 7+ - 75423: $99.99, 7+ - 75436: $9.99, 6+ - 75437: $29.99, 7+ - 75440: $59.99, 18+ - 75441: $79.99, 18+ - 75443: $19.99, 4+ - 75448: $14.99, 6+ - 75449: $19.99, 6+ - 75452: $89.99, 10+ - 30727: $4.99, 6+ 75448 ($15, 6+) is probably a Microfighter, given their current pricing, and 75449 ($20, 6+) is likely a mech (potentially with a second Minifig, as Superheroes has been doing); 30727 ($5, 6+) is obviously a polybag. 75440 ($60, 18+) and 75441 ($80, 18+) could be either both midi-scale ships, or a ship and a helmet (with $10 price bump) respectively; 75443 ($20, 4+) will either have only one (new?) Minifig or two reuses, since the 4+ Mando’s N-1 set has three ‘figs (Mando, Grogu, R5) and sells for $30. 75421 ($70, 7+) could be a starfighter, though the age would need to be wrong (fighters are generally in the 8+/9+ range), or potentially a large-but-simple playset; 75452 ($90, 10+) is definitely a ship, but the price is rather low (so maybe a shuttle?). If we assume the Cobb Vanth vs. Cad Bane rumour is true, I would bet on it being 75437 ($30, 7+) - The price makes sense for a set with two (new) Minifigs, and the age range tracks with other playsets (e.g. Paz vs. Moff Gideon). I would only expect two Minifigs (or maybe three, if one is reused from another set), considering that the Paz vs. Moff set has three unique (four total) ‘figs for $40. -

Cad Bane 100% confirmed!! Ordinarily, I would not read too much into the exact quote (as @Renown’s hints are usually just said by or about the character in-question), but in light of the Vanth vs. Bane rumour, a line that Cad Bane says to Cobb Vanth feels more than coincidental. One possibility for how we could get Cad Bane and anachronistic armoured Cobb Vanth in same set is a Cad Bane mech set (as Superheroes mechs have begun to include a second Minifig). If we are for sure getting a duel, then maybe LEGO will be uncharacteristically generous and include the helmet, armour torso, and jetpack as extras (hidden in a Freetown saloon side-build, with the main Cobb Vanth Minifig just having the dark red cardigan with red bandana print) - This could actually work, since the head/hair would be the same for both versions, and the only difference to the leg print would be presence or absence of a right knee plate (a corner that I would be OK with if cut), but I unfortunately cannot see this being the case. At least an unarmoured Cobb Vanth is easier to cobble together than the armoured version, and maybe we could see the duel-accurate ‘fig pop up in an Advent Calendar at some point. 🫤
