  1. Not sure if this has already been mentioned here, but looking at the picture (I can only find the one) on IG, the sticker doesn't just say "Post," it says "North Pole Post." The "North" and "Pole" are in those little red banners on each side of the green shield. Makes you wonder if the title of the set won't be North Pole Post Office.
  2. I like the shape/curves of the vehicle, but I agree the the combination of colors may be a bit off-putting. I wonder if the color scheme won't make more sense once we see Santa's Post Office. It wouldn't surprise me if this truck was initially developed as part of this year's WV set, but was turned into its own set in order to keep piece count and cost down. Instead of $100 and 1500ish pieces, if this truck were in the set, the new WV set probably becomes $120 and 1650-1700 pieces. So, I like this strategy - keep the main set around $100, and then give us a smaller, adjunctive set to buy separately if we so desire. I have a feeling that we might need to get used to this color scheme real quick - particularly in the form of a hot air balloon.
  3. It's a pretty flower in person, and my wife likes the looks of the set quite a bit. Looks like I'll be picking up one to build for the holiday.
  4. I found pictures of the Poinsettia set, which is being released on October 1st. Hopefully photos of the WV set and Santa's Delivery Truck won't be too far behind.
  5. Pictures of the Poinsettia have popped up. I was hoping the set would be just a bit bigger, but looks nice to me overall.
  6. They're keeping tighter clamps on things this year. Last year, we already had blurry photos by now
  7. If we are indeed getting a Santa's Post Office, I guess that's a decent compromise for all the people that weren't collecting the WV line when the original PO came out, and those of us who have the original and don't want another PO. I only hope that instead of giving us Santa's Bake Shop in a couple years, we instead get that Sweet Shoppe that we should've had by now. Looking back around this time last year, maybe we'll see a leaked image in the next week or so? I'm very curious how this set is going to look.
  8. I've been collecting this line from the beginning, and I can't remember if they've ever done printed pieces in a WV set. In the early sets, particularly the bakery and post office, I remember a sign that hung off the building that indicated what the business is. I can't recall if the bakery and post office were stickers or printed pieces...but I remember that was one of the bigger changes when they re-released the original toy store set. The first toy store set, IIRC, just had a blank white plate hanging for a sign, but in the re-release they either had a sticker for that piece, or the sign was printed. But beyond those signs, the only printed pieces I can think of would be cookies or otherwise common pieces like that. But I 100% agree with @Lion King that I would prefer printing on the balloon instead of some huge stickers. I don't know...the more I think about it, the more I kinda like the idea of a hot air balloon floating over a couple downtown buildings. I could live with that - and then I'm happy to never have any more downtown-type buildings again in this line. Also, I second @Klaus-Dieter - I would love to see something special for the 15th anniversary of this line.
  9. It certainly sounds like most of us are hoping for a relatively small hot air balloon, akin to what has been seen in other sets. I'm hoping that, while it's small, it will be very nicely decorated - maybe even some sort of printing on the balloon itself? To me, the big question is what kind of building we're going to get with the balloon. I think there are lots of possibilities, and while this wouldn't be my favorite choice, I still wonder if we're ever going to see a couple more buildings like we had in the Main Street set, with the goal of better developing a "downtown" area of the village. If they were to do this, I think it would make most sense to do it while the Main Street set is still available for sale. It would probably also boost sales of the Holiday Main Street set, which I have to believe has sold poorly compared to other recent WV sets - particularly last year's set.
  10. I'm going to guess (or hope) that the balloon is more of a side build, and the majority of the piece count goes towards a sizeable building.
  11. Certainly, this set could still be anything. I watch Brick Clicker pretty religiously, and once in a while he does get some bad initial info on an upcoming set. That said, assuming this is indeed a hot air balloon, it seems like we could have several options for the building that it comes with. One possibility might be just another house, and Lego could set up a scene with the people who live in the house watching the people in the balloon float by. That could explain a mailbox out front, as well as the mandatory Christmas tree in the set. I also wonder if they might not go with a building in which to store the balloon when it's not in use - maybe even a barn? If it were done right, I could easily envision a barn that could do double duty and be used to house the reindeer. With the rumor that there will be a smaller set of Santa's Delivery Truck (or something along those lines), I wonder if there won't be a more direct Santa tie-in with this set.
  12. Definitely an original idea. Not something you see in my neck of the world during the winter time, but I'm guessing this is a tradition in some parts of the world. It'll be interesting to see what kind of building they pair up with the hot air balloon.
  13. Maybe Christmas in July is just an American thing (I have no idea if it is or not), but it would be a nice opportunity/excuse for Lego to give us a teaser of the new Winter Village set. Even when Lego is at SDCC, I don't think we ever get any hints about the WV set. They seem to keep the new WV set under tighter security than they do so many of their other sets. I remember several years back they released a few super-close-up pictures of the new set (I think it was the WV Firehouse) a week or so before the release, and that provided a lot of fun conjecture. I'd love to see them do something like that every July - surely the box art and promo shots are done by now, I would think.
  14. That's fun/amusing! Definitely would be worth adding to the Gingerbread House if that figure ever came to be. The advent calendars are a good time. I've done the Star Wars calendar every year since they started, and I usually find a second or third calendar to do if I like the figures/pieces that you're going to get. The City calendar this year looks like an absolute winner with all those fun sweaters. And with June approaching, it feels like it's time for the conjecture and speculation about this year's WV set to start ramping up!
  15. I'm guessing there's a language barrier here, but I never suggested a Star Wars-themed WV set. I don't think anyone has suggested that. I suggested a new Star Wars-themed holiday employee gift, which has already been done once before.
  16. I agree - I doubt that we'll get a chapel this year, but this is a real change for Lego. It's one thing to put a casino in a micro-build skyline, but quite something else to do a 4000+ piece set of a church. If Notre Dame goes over well (and I'll be shocked if it doesn't), then maybe it will pave the way for further changes in strategy by Lego, and maybe that will filter down to the WV line in several years. On the other hand, if Notre Dame is released with some excuse that a portion of the profits are going towards the restoration of the cathedral, then I doubt we'll see another religious building in the near future.
  17. No, they'll never do a Star Wars ship with the primary Winter Village set - that wouldn't make any sense. I mean with the employee gift that's given to certain Lego employees at the end of every year. Check out set 4002019. I'm wondering if they'll do a Falcon similar to that for the employee gift this year. As for the idea of a modular, if the leaked info is correct, it doesn't seem like there's enough pieces for a modular - not that I ever expect them to do a modular for the WV set. I'll be very happy if we get a set similar to the quality of the Lodge.
  18. Agreed. I'm still very happy with the beautiful Lodge set and the great Carriage GWP that we received this year. It's almost gilding the lily to think about the 2024 set already - but I am happy to see that it looks to be a sizable set again. If I'm really honest, and really greedy, I'll say that I'm hoping the 2024 employee gift will be another Star Wars themed set, as they're celebrating the 25th anniversary of the line this year. With the rumors of the Dark Millennium Falcon set this year, would they possibly do a holiday-colored Millennium Falcon to go along with the X-Wing from 2019?
  19. Per Brick Clicker: 2024 Winter Village Set # 10339 1440 Pieces
  20. That definition of stall works in the US as well. I'm not overwhelmed by this set, but I agree that it's a nice little expansion of the WV Market.
  21. That's great news. It's been a long time since we had two GWP's over the holiday season that both compliment our winter villages.
  22. Are the Stall and the Ride two separate sets? I watched Brick Clicker's most recent video, and it sounded like the horse and carriage might be in the Stall set.
  23. Brick Clicker says in his latest video that the official reveal is supposed to occur today.
  24. Surely we'll be getting official pictures this week, right?
  25. It's definitely cold for an outhouse, but I've heard plenty of stories from my father about using an outhouse in the winter when he was a kid. And then there's a hilarious story about my aunt falling in the hole while they were in the process of moving the outhouse to a new location, but I digress... With this leak, I would guess we'll be seeing official images next week.
