Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
calebcold3 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Like others have said, it's too early for all the spring sets details to be revealed. Also, Thunderbolts I think would have like 1-2 sets, not a full blown wave or anything. I feel like when it comes to Thunderbolts, I'm thinking 2 sets: A $35 set, with Yelena, Bob, and Red Guardian A $80 set, with Yelena, Bob, US Agent, Ghost, Taskmaster Rumors are that Bucky has a VERY minimal role in the film. As for the figures in the Hall of Armor #4, and Endgame Final Battle #4: I feel like the 2 other figures in the 2025 Hall of Armor set are Aldrich Killian and Iron Man Mark 42, since the set seems to be Iron Man 3 based (even though Rescue is there, but I guess that's similar to how the Mark 85 suit was in an Iron Man 2 based set_ The other 2 figures in the 2025 Endgame Final Battle set I feel are Thanos (probably a reuse from the A-Force set last year) and Rescue (reuse from next year's Hall of Armor). -

What do you all think should/could be the Marvel D2C for next year? Last year we knew we would get the X-Mansion in 2024, so I think since there isn't a survey for 2025 sets or anything, it will be a while till we hear what the D2C For next year will be. Honestly, I feel like we will get a D2C $400 Helicarrier next year with like 20 minifigures. -
Which of these 2 potential D2Cs would you all think is likely for next year for DC? A modular comic-based Daily Planet (this would give LEGO an reason to reuse the Superman and Lex figures from the mech) OR A Oversized Tumbler that can fit the Batpod from this year (similar to the infamous 2022 Hulkbuster fitting the Iron Man figure) that has only 1-2 minifigures I would want the first option, but knowing LEGO, they would pursue the second option.

I think it could be half and half, with half of the figures being from animated shows, with the other half being from live action shows: If I had to guess on the potential Marvel CMF 3 for Next year: 1. Spider-Man (a suit from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man) 2. Jubilee 3. Kahhori (What If Season 2) 4. Morph 5. Wolverine (brown suit) 6. Daredevil (from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man) 7. God Loki 8. Wonder Man 9. Ironheart 10. Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza's character from Agatha) 11. Billy Maximoff 12. O.B.aka Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan's character from Loki 2) -
SPOILERS FOR DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE: I know this set would never happen for a certain reason, but still, it would be awesome to see.

My Minfigure predictions for the Hall of Armor 2025 set (assuming it's Iron-Man 3 based since IGOR is in the set): Iron-Man (Mark 42), Tony Stark, Aldrich Killian, and a New Iron-Man Armor we've never gotten before. I hope it's able to still connect to the 2019/2022 sets. -

If you were picked by LEGO to hand pick the 3 characters they would make the next buildable construction figures for next spring, which characters would you pick? Honestly, I'd probably pick Spider-Gwen, Carnage, and War Machine. The Spider-Man/Venom ones and Iron-Man buildable figure are the only Marvel construction figures I DON'T hate (the Green Goblin one is ok) -

At most 3. I would love it if they did 4 so they could market it as the "THE FANTASTIC 4 LEGO FANTASTIC FOUR SETS!" but that's just the dad joke humor in me. If I had to guess, probably a $10 set, $35 set, and $90 set, similar to the GOTG 3 wave last year. -

Are the buildable construction figures dead? I figured we would hear about them from the set list yesterday but they could be back for April next year (similar to how this year was with Iron Spider and Green Goblin) Minisuperheroestoday says that he hears from his friends that work at the LEGO Stores that they sell REALLY well with kids, while Ashnflash says they are the biggest shelf warmers every time he goes shopping, so it's a mixed bag when it comes to the sales of them it seems. Honestly, the only buildable construction figures I would want that I can imagine that wouldn't looked cursed are Spider-Gwen, Carnage, Star-Lord and War Machine. -

Me too. I agree that there should be a variety on which superheroes the Marvel sets are based on. I also feel like the Marvel logo is part of Art, since Star Wars just had the set names revealed and the Star Wars Logo set wasn’t part of the lineup. Anyways, We know we’re getting a Civil War set and (most likely based on tradition) two mechs, so that leaves 4 more unknown sets for January. I would love those 4 to be a Sentinel set similar to the Surtur Set, a Miles Morales mask and like, maybe 2 more Infinity Saga sets (I’m really hoping for the Setinel set and Miles Mask 🤞🏻🙏🏻) -

So since DC is getting at most 4 sets in January, I guess we will be getting 7 LEGO Marvel sets in January -

Yeah you make a good point with your examples. I know for a FACT Deadpool and Wolverine would've gotten a set if it wasn't for the rating. It's also worth mentioning The movies that people like Post-Endgame (Spidey movies, GOTG 3, hopefully Deadpool and Wolverine) also each have different factors that are in spite of the current MCU (like there are people who hate the current MCU enjoy those movies, but just because someone liked Guardians 3 and buys a set from that film, doesn't mean they are going to buy sets from the Thunderbolts, if that makes sense). I don't think Thunderbolts sets are 100% guaranteed tbh but I think Fantastic Four sets are 100% happening unless if a killer asteroid hits or the zombie apocalypse happens. -

Yeah pretty much this, again no offense to @wesker but its hard to take their word as gospel when they only provide one anecdotal source when there's a lot of suggestions that the NWH Final Battle sold decently. And when it comes to the Guardians 3 sets, by all accounts I've seen the smallest set sell ok and the Baby Rocket set isn't retired yet after over a year so it had to have sold well to still be in retail price right? We hadn't heard anything about the NWH sets or Guardians 3 sets being on clearance like the Eternals/Wakanda Forever sets, so I assume they sold OK but not amazing. But I'm also grateful we got NWH sets like you said. I feel like sometimes we take this theme for granted. It may not be perfect, but still, when they produce a solid set like the NWH Final Battle, I don't have much to complain. Even the GOTG 3 wave was pretty accurate all things considered (well, except Gamora + High Evolutionary should've appeared in a set and the Bowie should've been twice the size it was but would've been like $300. Maybe someday we'll get a UCS Bowie). Also, I'm really hoping for Deadpool and Wolverine to be well received and financially rewarded like NWH or GOTG 3. It would show like those movies that people still have faith in the MCU, when the movies are great AND of course, it makes the fandoms less toxic sometimes when we are all united :) Which leads me to ask, Is it just me that's been sick of the doom and gloom in these threads for the past many years? It seems like it's always been a cycle of people acting like their opinions are facts over sets and/or some people trying to make things more dramatic than they actually are. Like, some people in this thread act like the theme is on the edge of extinction.. when that's not the case, despite the downfall of the MCU as a whole. -

Well the only source about it not selling well is from @wesker at their store, which is an anecdotal source (again, I’m not saying they’re wrong, but it’s just their one store. If it was a store wide thing like it was where it was like all the Wakanda Forever sets being on clearance 2 years on than that’s another story). So, from my anecdotal source, At my Target it seems to have sold well. I think it’s a decent seller overall but not one that flew off shelves like some other sets. -

I agree. I really only collect sets now that only have good figures and/or a good build. I miss having the feeling to collect every single Marvel set, but some of the sets now don't work for me PLUS of course the MCU's decline as a whole. I know people like to joke about the Morbius set for obvious reasons, but I feel like that was a good set as it kept it simple (hero vs desirable villain, with a decent build). I feel like the simplicity is why one of the reasons that set did well (well, at least from what I saw) besides the fact it had Morbius and Miles (who was about to star in highly anticipated movie AND one of the only two superhero movies that did well last year). But some vehicles just are unneeded. Like you said, it's too much and also repetitive. When it comes to villains, I get why High Evolutionary wasn't in any Vol.3 sets (It could've struck a nerve with some people cause I know there were people who REALLY Wanted the character dead after what he did to Rocket, which just shows how good of a performance Iwuji brought to the table), but not getting any real villains in the CMFs or Darr Ben or whatever her name is in the Marvels set is just head scratching. I don't think the theme is "dying" or anything headed to DC levels yet, but some problems have been here since the beginning, while some problems have been getting worse. Anyways, on the subject of talking about the future of the theme in a positive light, here are some Infinity Saga sets I would like to see next year that are likely: * Malibu Mansion (similar construction + structure to the Harry Potter Great Hall from this year) * Age of Ultron Quinjet (with Quicksilver) * The Benatar (midi-scale similar to the Helicarrier this year) * Civil War Airport Set (similar to the AOU Battle set this year) -

I guess It's just that those are the two major wins Post-Infinity Saga, and that they could make more sets off those films instead of always going back to the Infinity Saga sets. Did you not like those two movies @wesker? I haven't really met anyone on this thread that disliked them. Also, your examples of the shelf warming are anecdotal, as is anyone's. I said this I think in the thread a while ago but last year the Guardians Headquarters set was always selling out at my local Target (well it was the cheapest set from a well received movie, it isn't hard to imagine). Not saying your wrong but it's just your area when other areas might be different. Like for example, your store could have The Final Battle warming shelfs while a store in TN might have only 1 Final Battle set left. :) But hey, it could always be worse. We could all have the Eternals/Wakanda Forever sets on clearance for about 2 years. Also, I don't think the Marvel theme will end up like how DC is now (knock on wood). Marvel has A LOT of problems, but they aren't at the point where DC is. -

Exactly. Couldn't say it better myself. I Do think they should do more sets on the popular movies pretty much everyone loves Post-Endgame (No Way Home/Guardians 3). Of course, we've gotten a lot of NWH sets, but I'd love to see A Guardians 3 Hallway set soon. -

Oh. I figured that would've came out in January 2025, but it's nice to hear we should get a reveal before December obviously. I'm not super excited for Brave New World, but here's hoping the set at least looks worth something. -

Is the mini-scale Helicarrier the last Marvel set (not counting The X-Mansion of course) that is left to be revealed for this year? If so, that was fast. I wonder when we will hear about 2025 leaks since it was August last year when we first heard about this year's winter wave. Anyways, I'm bored and here's what I expect (plus some wants) for 2025 tbh: 2 Mechs 1 Comic Spider-Man set 2 Thunderbolts* sets 3 Construction figures 1 helmet/mask (Miles Morales maybe?) 3 MCU Fantastic Four movie sets 1 X-Men '97 set (a Sentinel build similar to Surtur?) X-Men '97 Advent calendar D2C Helicarrier 7 Infinity Saga Sets (One of the sets being Civil War based) Can't believe I made a 2025 set prediction list for the whole next year but hey I was bored -
As I was building The Amazing Spider Man ART Set, I was thinking a Venom version similar to it would be awesome: Of course, it would have a bit more pieces and maybe be a bit more expensive, (and of course I know Venom sets are a meme), but I still was thinking a Venom ART set would go hard.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this in the forum yet so forgive me if this brought up again but I just noticed that in the pics of the kid playing with the upcoming Age of Ultron set, the Hawkeye in the pictures is the one from Avengers tower instead of the one from the actual AOU set Just thought this was a funny error. I wonder how that slipped past LEGO.
