  1. On another note. I know the character is named "The Lone Wolf Biker" but I think City may have indirectly revived Biker Bob through the Touring Stunt Bike.
  2. Maybe they'll do something like that for 2023.
  3. I agree! Even with a ban on other plastic toys, Lego's not going anywhere anytime soon.
  4. Ah okay! So we just have to wait until September.
  5. Yeah! That's pretty much it. Of course there are medical sets in City. City has actually being doing well with medical sets. We just don't see them often. The ski patrol from 2019 and the beach patrol buggy from 2021, technically also count as medical sets because of the logo. I personally wish gas stations were given more popularity. Now THAT'S something we can rant about.
  6. Yeah! But medical subtheme return? What does it have to do with that? Sorry I just don't get it. Would you mind explaining from the beginning?
  7. I've actually been fighting for the medical subtheme to return. Perhaps they can add some medical sets to Police and Fire (which are now one subtheme) and rename it First Responders.
  8. I agree! I remember the Garage/Towing subtheme from 2009. That thing basically came and went - disappearing after a brief time in 2010. I don't speak for anyone else, but I personally chalk it up to sales being slim as that was around the time when Lego kinda became desperate to where they started throwing out police sets every year. At that time, they could only afford to do what sold. So if it didn't sell, it wasn't going to stay very long.
  9. @TeriXeri I agree with that first one. I love how City is being more and more opened to civilian life things. We've even had the honor of receiving a summer town set, known as the grocery store along with a school and another hospital. My hope for 2023 is that we get a post office, a finish line set (similar to the big race day set from Friends and a nod to the Fast Track Finish set from the early 90s), perhaps a recycling center with an actual building this time and maybe an ambulance station - which is something I've never seen in City.
  10. Yeah! I've been screaming for a towing barge for the Coast Guard subtheme. Despite serving many different purposes in real life, the coast guard in Lego City is about rescuing stranded sailors and the towing barge is still holding true to that.
  11. You mean ...... like a post office?
  12. I'm not trying to be rude. But it does bug me a bit. What's with everyone and animals lately? I get the animals moulds are cool and all, but why the obsession. On my latest Q&A, I have heard nothing but comments about more animals. Nothing else.
  13. I miss the people packs though.
  14. That's probably what inspired Lego to do more civilian oriented sets for the City theme. Sort of a "Never forget where it came from!" type of thing. Heck! We got a school, hospital, beach and a grocery store in the same year. I hope a post office comes soon.
  15. I hope coast guard returns next year. I've been screaming for them to make a comeback for ages now.
  16. Nice! I have been begging Lego to do a TV Station for City since I saw the TV 6+ vehicles in 60097 and 60233. I wonder what a full blown TV 6+ news studio would look like for City.
  17. Another unpopular opinion; Lego City is currently in another golden age. Ok, so the sets may be a bit pricey. But that's just a small price we have to pay (pun partially intended) in order to get good sets that are loveable. Dare I say it here, but City now in the 2020s is waaaaaayyyyyy better than the way it was back during the 2010s, especially the late 2010s as there was barely any diversity. It was too much oversaturation of police and science based sets to where unless you looked close enough, you would barely notice any other jobs out there. At least now, you have hope because the job market in Lego City is now so high that my bank account is at its lowest! LOL
  18. Hi Xeldritsie! Thanks for the compliment! A grocery store and a school are definitely two steps in the right direction for City. So I kinda see a post office being done in the near future (hopefully next year). Given the devastating outcome of the last specialized unit in 2019, which was Sky Police (and the Elite Police sets from late 2020), I doubt we'll see any special police subthemes anytime soon. But I wouldn't write the Outback subtheme off. I'm hoping they'd also revive arctic. They basically did that on 2020. But I would like to see more car culture related sets in the future. Especially a full out gas station with pumps, a car wash and a repair area. That would be awesome.
  19. I recommended an Outback Explorers subtheme back in the late 2010s when action outside of the city was the most popular. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be as popular now as they were back then - thus the fact that they're so few here and in between. I guess every era of Lego City had a different generation who loved certain things. In the mid to late 2000s, it was basically city action that you could walk out of your door and see. In the 2010s, it was primarily police chases and action outside of the city. Nowadays, it's mostly civilian based sets.
  20. The Octan Corporation is literally one of the best things to ever come to town related sets! I miss when Octan was at its prime!
