@danth In case you didn't realize, I got warned for those. I wouldn't have had to resort to that if people didn't piss me off. -
LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
@Night City Dream They should bring the Outback theme from 1997 back. Sadly, they only existed for one year. But considering that the market for traveling/explorers themes has reached an all time high now, I think there would be some room for nostalgia. https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Outback -

Just give up already. You're not going to get me to change my mind. -

@MAB Well screw it! I still think they were lazy in promoting certain sets that they made. Maybe instead of correcting me on everything, have the balls to come up with ideas on how they can be promoted. And stop quoting what I say. Mention me instead. -

Well there has to be something they could've done to push that set. Sheesh! After all, there was one mini-movie where a lady was literally inside of a building when it was on fire. It was in Lights! Camera! Action! Besides, you don't think children wouldn't get scared when they are in a bank and it could get robbed at anytime? -
One thing I always loved is when certain sets tie into each other. A great example is from the Winter 2019 wave of sets. In the 60207 Sky Police Drone Chase, you can see a nod to the fire department. In the mini movie, Where The Ravens Crow, its confirmed that the statue is to celebrate the fire department's services. I think Lego should do that more. That way, like I said before, variety can be a thing with Lego.

On that last statement, we can all agree! The way to success of a product is through proper advertisement and promotion. That's why awesome sets like the 60154 Bus Station and the 60204 Hospital didn't sell well. I think action packed mini movies based on those sets would've helped them. Yeah, it would be a little expensive, but it would've been worth it in the end if it brought in customers. For the 60154 Bus Station, I would've recommended a mini movie that would be similar to the 1994 film, Speed. The plot would be that the bus malfunctions and the driver has 10 minutes to transfer the civilians and himself onto another bus in a safe and timely manner before the bus explodes (or deconstructs in Lego terms) into pieces. For the 60204 Hospital, more emphasis would've probably been on the ambulance and helicopter than the hospital building itself as the helicopter drops the patient from the stretcher and the ambulance driver has to catch him so that she can take him to the hospital. The mini movies and various advertisements is why certain sets (like police) sells. There are also promotions like stickers, activity books and backpacks. That's also why. So that's why I tell people like you to stop blaming the interests of little boys. Its Lego's fault because that's what they are putting the faces of little boys. Also, if they had particular teams of people working on particular themes, there wouldn't be so much chaos as to what Lego can or can't do. Whatever revenue is collected on certain sets goes to the team that makes those particular Lego sets. -

Then maybe she can tell us if police is sincerely the thing with City or is it just easier to put out. -

I actually stand corrected on the explorers themes. If you look at the following links, you'll see that they were always part of Town/City. They were just subsidiaries or spin off themes. https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Arctic https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Divers https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Space_Port But I'm holding my own in regards to the police themes. -

Ok! I have a list of themes that should return. I don't think they should be standalone though. Bring them back under City. Extreme Team from 1998 - https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Extreme_Team - Since stunt vehicles are a thing with City, bring this theme back! Nautica from 1991 - https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Nautica - This is a chance to revive the harbour and beach themed sets. This would also include the coast guard sets. Outback from 1997 - https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Outback - A revivlal of the Outback theme from the 90s. This would focus more on Outback Exploration. Paradisa from 1992 - https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Paradisa - It could be put out there as an alternative for Friends for girls who prefer yellow people over the detailed figures. Race from 1985 - https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Race - Well! Little boys do love race cars. Perhaps City could have this under its wing. Rescue from 1991 - https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Rescue - This would save TONS of money. This theme would nationalize police, fire and medical sets under one single force!- 438 replies

@KotZ You mean City is not supporting it? -
@TeriXeri I love those ideas! Especially traffic signs and flags! For me personally, I'd also like to see an Xtra pack for advertisements.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone. I was initially making an observation. You could've just kept your mouth shut. Then this entire thread wouldn't have been about me. What part of get off my back do you not understand? -

There is a difference between agreeing with someone and harassing them. Any time I say something against the overwhelming majority of police sets and the irrelevance of explorers themes, you, KotZ, MAB and Ly are always there. Go away. -

Screw Eurobricks! I should be able to express my disapproval with being harassed. We're talking about City sets. Any arguments regarding Castle or Pirates are irrelevant. Bugger off! -
An electric multiple unit similar to how the Bombardier M7A looks. It could be painted in yellow and green too! Nod at the bus from set no. 60154 anyone? https://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=648104

EXACTLY!!!!! My other point is that certain things haven't even been given a fair chance. Police sets get plenty of chances because they get a new darn police theme released every year. Subthemes that I believe have potential like a News subtheme or a Metro Transit subtheme aren't even given a fair chance. The latter two can only be seen in traces and so far, only two sets have ever been released that really showcase the transit system and those are sets number 8404 and 60154. -

Missing the point. The ones you mentioned were under fixed subthemes. And please don't reference buildings that have been long removed from the shelves because those don't really count anymore. -

Direct them to Speed Champions and other Lego themes like Star Wars, DC or Marvel then. But don't do that with City. City's main focus needs to be on buildings. -

@MABIt seems like my ideas are the only ones that get contradicted. I'm talking about a collection of unthemed buildings for the City theme. You know? Like set 60204 Hospitak? That one wasn't really put under a particular subtheme. It was practically just a random building. A good one at that. That's what I mean by Great Buildings. City made buildings that aren't really under one of the fixed subthemes.
