Disney GWP just leaked!! $130 threshold but such a nice little set. Rumored to be for late October. and we get a buildable Lenny!!

I will say, the buildable Disney figures have been executed pretty well lately but still not appealing enough for me. I’ve only purchased the Mickey/Minnie set from a few years back. A little bit of variety with the set types would go a long way. Still waiting on a series of castles. Thought we might be getting it when they started with a couple of the mini sets but seems to have stopped. With TS5 coming up and LEGO seemingly revisiting the franchise with sets can we pleaseeeee get a UCS style pizza planet truck, RC or Buzz’s ship??? The original TS line are some of my favorite sets LEGO put out, even as an adult collector but still so much potential left on the table. Now that the licensing seems to have been sorted out and they have slinky, give us the moving truck scene.

Not exactlyyyy what you’re asking for but Disney did release journals that were just oversized exact replicas of the fairytale books used in the opening scenes of the original animated Disney movies. I know there’s at least Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty and almost certain there’s a few others they’ve done. Just search Disney storybook replica. I actually purchased one for a family member and they have it displayed in a bookcase and looks great.

Personally love the book nooks/bookends and excited we’re getting another Disney one. They’re easy to display and usually at a fair price point. As mentioned above, I am surprised we haven’t gotten a follow up of the villains set from a couple years back. Slinky dog is a welcomed addition though, hoping we get some new minifigs with it, even if they’re some of the random toy characters from Andy’s toy box

Possibly in a future Mickey & friends set, likely one of the Minnie/Daisy ones.

Yeah, initially thought being Pixar may have resulted in the 10xxx but double checked the Up house and still a 43. Well, next best hope is it could potentially make for an easy MOC of the Finding Nemo tank

So glad I didn’t pull the trigger on the large Wall-E set. The new one looks near-perfect and will be easier to display than the original. I also just saw a leak for an icons set with the description being a “large fish tank” 4000+ pieces $500….. while I think it’s a longshot, anyone think this could end up being a large Finding Nemo set? $500 just seems steep for random fish. Tagging a Disney license on it and the price makes more sense

Yep, to be clear, I love it. My comment was more forward thinking, 5 years from now if this is the only minifig castle they’ve done at this size, I’ll be disappointed it wasn’t bigger. If there are more to come over the next few years, I’ll be glad they went with this size/price point.

I’m torn…On one hand I wanted it to be larger, primarily so the interior could be more spacious. On the other hand, I’ve been wanting minifig castle sets for all the classics so I’m happy with the size/price of this set if it’s the first of many to come. Day 1 purchase for me.

I’m with you on getting a micro tinker bell. I actually thought we might get one when the Peter Pan set came out last year. As for the dresses, I was bummed when I saw the first ones since I assumed they were going to keep them the same across all princesses just for consistency. It’s a shame but I doubt they ever switch them up at this point until there’s an opportunity to refresh them all. side note…that steamboat set is really tempting me to get a little Fantasmic steamboat display going. It instantly made me think of the Fantasmic show at DisneyWorld. Great way to display the characters other than just placing them throughout the castle.

Agreed on Cogsworth. I recently went back and acquired all Disney sidekicks that appeared in mini doll sets. Obviously there are several BATB versions and there has yet to be a good Cogsworth.

Maurice with his invention cart would be great..but I don’t think they ever include a minifig with the GWPs, so maybe just his invention cart and basement of inventions. The interior of Gaston’s tavern would be awesome but not sure LEGO would go for that. Hard to think of any castle locations that aren’t already included since a castle that size should have all the rooms covered. You’re right though, it would be a first for Disney getting a GWP with one of their minifig sets but this seems big enough to warrant one and would be in line with their recent choice to include in the larger 18+ sets

Assuming Belle, Beast, Gaston are locks for minifigs, my guess for the others are LeFou, and Maurice. As much as I’d love some human forms of the enchanted objects, it just doesn’t seem likely to me since they only appear for the last few minutes of the movie. I’d actually love some upgraded enchanted objects over their human forms. Maybe the Enchantress??? what’re the chances of a GWP?

Wish we’d be getting a diorama of Andy’s room but hoping the set is on par with the original Toy Story sets which I feel were extremely well done. I have a feeling it’s going to disappoint and be a reiteration of the Disney train last year (with RC serving as the locomotive) but we’ll see. I agree about the minifigs, but I have my fingers crossed for a Bo Peep (with Billy, Goat and Gruff of course) and maybe even Sid. One can also dream for Mr. And Mrs. Potato Head but won’t get my hopes up. I’m all for the $300 set being Disney parks based but would also be game for the Beast’s castle. I’m still not convinced it won’t end up being the Disneyland castle.

You’re likely right (and hopefully are), wasn’t necessarily thinking they’d print clothing on the head piece, I was just trying to point out that with it being flat, it allows for any style “face” to be printed, whereas the previous yeti mold had more structure to the front which limits the printing the friends mold is good but wasn’t familiar with their history of repurposing special pieces/molds like that across both minidolls and minifigs

Just picked up the 3 CMF I wanted from Series 27, boogeyman being one of them, and am I way off or could we see that head mold used for the beast? I know we’ve had the yeti/bigfoot but they didnt allow for horns. The boogeyman headpiece has the horns and allows for anything to be printed on the front due to it being flat and not structured like the previous yeti head. By no means do I want this to be the case but as I was putting it together I couldn’t help but think of it being used for the beast in minifig form

Same here. Not thrilled with it but I’ll still buy day 1 in hopes that we’ll keep getting minifig sets. the best part is they even added a small “movement” graphic behind it to show that it’s running away 🤣

Curious to hear what 6 you received. In the past have the 6 packs been the same 6 in each “set”? I’m only looking for 3 & CMFs usually get cleared out around here until months and months later. Hoping the 3 I want (Cupid, Boogeyman and Pterodactyl) are in a single 6 pack.

Yes, I’ve got Pluto but completely forgot about the bears! Thank you Thanks! forgot there were so many in the various Belle sets . Those will pair nicely. yes, I’m on the fence with the Lucifer and Raja pieces. Might be the last of the ones I acquire (if I do at all). Yes! I’ve been thinking of picking this set up just for the maleficent dragon but this would be an added bonus. I'll probably hold off on the Raya and Wish pals unless we get any minifigures from the 2 movies. the kakamora is a good catch, I would have overlooked them for sure.

Does anyone collect, or have a list of, all non-minifigure (and non-minidoll) Disney figures? for example, Maui, Sven, Olaf etc. Looking to round out my Disney collection and figured these would still display nicely with the minifigs/sets This is what I’ve come up with so far…am I missing any? Maui(1), Pua(1), hei hei(1-newer one looks nothing like hei hei), Pascal(1-older one looks nothing like him), Sven(1), Olaf(2-molded only), Snowgies(1), the Nokk(ice horse)(1), Bruni (1), Gus (1) I already have all pals that came in minifigure series & sets, along with Flounder and Sebastian

I agree but worry that there aren’t many more notable scenes that would translate well into sets. The current Ideas set captures most of them. The one obvious one would be Oogie Boogie’s lair, giving us Oogie and Jack as Sandy Claws, along with Sandy Claws himself. Outside of that, the only likely way to get them would be a CMF series(Oogie, Jack as Sandy Claws and Dr.Finkelstein), or some type of Villains 2.0 set.
