  1. I think somewhere in here I saw something about double VIP at launch, not sure if that was fact or wish. Definitely won't be getting this without it. My other concern is with the changes to VIP, if you cash in points (there only good for 30 days) would hate to cash in points, and then have it run out of stock!
  2. Man I am trying to watch the video, but every time his elbow hits the table, that whole Star Destroyer shakes! I couldn't focus on anything else! If i get this and tile up the surface, I think it may go down in pieces!
  3. Sorry to beat a dead horse, what size AT-AT do we consider to be UCS. I have built raskolnikovs Plus size AT-AT, which I know is not Cavegod proportions, but seems very stable to me, and I would consider that to be a UCS ballpark size.
  4. And yet the designer video he stated that he designed it to be moved for dusting etc! Heres hoping he is right! But when he touched it, it sure seemed to move alot!
  5. For those who have expressed concern on how sturdy it looks from being so hollow, do you think this would support the weight of adding extra tiles to smooth it up?
  6. Its definitely not fair to compare or realistic, but once you have seen an amazing MOC like the Monarch, you cant take it back! And because I have seen it, when you look at the new Devastator, it is a bit of a letdown. That being said,it is definitely cheaper than a MOC, and I think seeing it in person will definitely help. But for people who can only buy or build a single Star Destroyer (which is still a huge $$ investment) the unintentional side affect from the MOC's is everything else is second class. I feel like this will be on my shelf someday, but I will look at it and feel like I paid $700+ for a great but not amazing set. The MF is amazing, the updated Y-wing was really good. Could have some buyers regret.
  7. Have to agree about the studdy part. With the piece count I knew we wouldn't be getting a smooth SD, and being that is it lego, there should be some studs, but...... I hope the official reveal looks amazing or I may have to go with a MOC instead!
  8. Hmm, ok two problems! Your right though, I sold off older legos, original SW figs, and other items to justify the last lego Falcon, I dont think I have anything left to sell this time. I was originally hoping for $500. Having $1500 tied up in two sets is going to be tough sell. I don't think there is a justification!
  9. This is exactly my problem! I want an upgraded better version, but I hope it is not too much bigger than the original, or else something else may need to be sacrificed to make room!
  10. Instructions done, and pieces on the way, now I jut have to figure out where this will go once it is built! Dranac, could you or anyone else who has built this tell me the height? I think I will be re-doing my shelves as well, I feel like this is taller than it looks....... :)
  11. Really nice looking MOC! Can't wait to see it built and get instructions!
  12. I might need to do this myself! Just had to comment and see if was up to 10!
  13. Damn $699! I thought it was $499. The wife is not going to be happy!
  14. Wow, thanks Starbricks, Lygod, Bricksmarlin! I am eagerly awaiting my lighting kit. My office is going to love this new night light!
  15. I went with Dark grey as well, much easier and i forgot I even changed it. Looks good either way!
  16. And I was asked to pay back as well. :) At least were all in the same boat! Cant wait for those lights!
  17. I finally ordered the lighting system a little over a week ago, and it was marked as shipped. Today I got a refund, with no explanation. The lighting unit is definitely pricey, maybe I will need to find my own solution instead of getting the lygod system. May not fit as perfect, but will save some money!
  18. Has anyone had any luck getting the lighting kit outside those first 5 orders? I managed to find the store, and have been checking back regularly, but it always shows nothing for sale?
  19. Have to agree with this! I have the 2009 version and display it with other actual UCS sets and MOC's. It looks nice, but when compared to those others, it's way out of place! I was hoping this would have been a UCS set, to replace that old version and be up to the standards of the rest. But a playset! Can't make everyone happy, here's hoping we do get a UCS set of something this year!
  20. Cant make everyone happy. When I think I May the 4th, I think UCS set, not a playset. People who don't have a Tantive IV and like playsets will be happy. People who wanted an improved UCS version of the 10 year anniversary will be disappointed. Bright side, more money for a hopeful amazing ISD later this year, and if not there are some great MOC's!
  21. The 10 year Anniversary Tantive was my first big lego purchase, was hoping for an improvement. That looks a big narrower in parts, and until it can be seen in better detail, Im not sure it is much improved! I guess I can save for the next big no name set, or UCS, or whatever it may be. Having a box similar to UCS, but not. And no anniversary labels like the 10 year one is odd as well. I think I'm disappointed
  22. I initially displayed it with landing gear, however I have to move it every so often (dusting etc.) So I built the stand after. If you plan to move it around, it is much easier to use the stand. Moving it with the landing gear, causes them to fall off (unless your very careful, or glue em!)
  23. Those truly are amazing, I think I like the Fireball the best. Not sure why, even though its beat up in the show, there is something about it. Any chance you are going to add Yeager's fighter as well? I know it wasn't featured much until the end, but it would look great with the rest of them. Congrats again, on some amazing MOCS!
  24. Nice research, I hope you are correct! I need to plan my budget for the year between unconfirmed UCS Sets, and all these awesome MOC's dropping! Its going to be painful.
