  1. I mean, according to the Escape from Gringotts ride at Universal Orlando Bill was there during the trio’s heist gone wrong. Not necessarily the strongest claim to canon, but with the number of minifigures one would expect from a set that price compared to the number of characters actually in the DH2 movie scenes (the trio, Griphook, Bogrod, and several nameless goblins a security wizards) it’s not out of the question that Lego might include another known bank employee.
  2. Yeah, between Voldemort and Bellatrix being villains and also some of the most notable combatants on the villains’ side, I don’t think Lego’s going to leave them out (never mind that we’ve already got confirmation that a new Voldemort – presumably in Battle of Hogwarts green – is coming thanks to the censored activity book covers). On the other hand, characters like Fred, Lavender, Tonks, and Remus don’t get much action in during the actual fight, and when you consider the large number of other ‘good guys’ that can fill out the ranks of the castle’s defenders…
  3. Possibly, but it would be impossible to include his tail then.
  4. Theoretically, depending on what pose they put him in, he might be able to pass as a regular baby raccoon. Makes me wonder if he’ll be IP locked or if Lego will go the same route they did with alligator Loki.
  5. With lego seemingly getting the memo on what the fans like in an advent calendar, there’s a great chance that the coming years will get more winter/holiday scene based calendars like Christmas at Grimmauld Place, the Slug Club Christmas party, Christmas at the Burrow, etc.
  6. Good catch, that brings the new parts in this leak to: Torsos- 1. Ron 2. Hermione 3. Draco 4. Aberforth Heads- 1. Draco 2. Aberforth Recolors- 1. Ron hair 2. Hermione hair and maybe Draco’s hat? (My knowledge of the current winter wear is a bit weak so someone feel free to weigh in there) Rosmerta is a complete repeat and Harry has only swapped out his usual hair for a hood in an already available color, so as far as the budget is concerned he’s a repeat too. Luna turns up with the rest of the original DA members in the first meeting at the Hog’s Head. Doesn’t really fit with the PoA theme most of the figs follow, but Aberforth doesn’t either and he’s confirmed so… Personally, I don’t think there’s any use in speculating based off minifig parts seen cropped out at the edges on any pictures. It’s hardly uncommon for leakers to get mixed batches of minifigs from multiple sets/themes, so it’s entirely possible that they were cropped out of the Harry Potter photos because they’re entirely unrelated the photographer doesn’t know anymore than we do. It’s worth noting that with the trio, Draco, Aberforth, and Rosmerta, we’re already looking at 6 full minifigures. That’s the same number as the 2020 and 2021 calendars, and the seventh figure of the 2019 calendar was an unprinted statue. We got lucky last year with 7 full minifigures plus a head, we might not get that lucky again. As for the invisibility cloak, it definitely belongs in the scene, but the question is if it could be fit in an advent calendar from a technical standpoint. The Star Wars advent calendars have included capes a few times, but the cloak is somewhat larger and thicker than the old standard capes, so we can’t say for certain it would fit the same way. Still, let’s keep our fingers crossed for the cloak and maybe even a fabric kilt for Aberforth.
  7. The post with Aberforth seems to have been taken down already unfortunately
  8. I’d be doubting that we’re getting this lucky with this year’s advent calendar - we’d never usually expect to see AC figs this early and before any of the summer ones - but the same source also leaked ugly holiday sweater versions of Spider-Man and Black Widow. So it looks like we have a green light to get excited about this! Finally, after the middling ’21 calendar and lackluster offering last year, lego has finally realized that we think the ‘20 Yule Ball calendar was the ideal format and are seemingly returning to it!
  9. Very interesting, hard to say if the old sets are a control, trying to figure out pricings again after the recent hike, or something else. There’s still not much use including sets scheduled for immediate release but not yet announced in such a survey though.
  10. According to the leaker, these were presented as part of a survey asking people (presumably focus group members) what they would pay for various hypothetical sets. These sets will not be available this year, they would be available sometime in 2024 or later or might not even make it to shelves at all depending on what lego decides. Gringotts is reportedly the big D2C coming this year, and therefore the survey would not have had any images of it to leak.
  11. Given that I count 9 red headed minifigures, there might actually be a chance of getting Charlie. What I’m trying to figure out with what scene they’re going for, the minifig with the Hermione hair and one of the redheads have teen legs, and the Ginny on the upper balcony seems pretty short too. That would seem to rule out both CoS and DH1. Is it possible they’re doing a GoF set with a little book canon bonus? - Bill, Charlie, and Percy were at home for the summer and joined the group for the quidditch cup, although they got cut from the movies.
  12. Bit of a deviation from the current topic of conversation, but Hogwarts Legacy is doing Wizarding Wednesdays to promote the release of the game, and this week’s prize (at least in the US) is a bundle of all four house banner sets. There are a series of different prizes to win so it’s worth checking out for anyone who hasn’t already entered.
  13. Yeah, same. I’ve been looking around all the normal hashtags on Instagram and I think I’ve seen everything but the Harry Potter sets. EDIT: finally found the Harry Potter images. An Instagram user (probably a throwaway) _michaelbricksforever_ has the up along with a selection of the others, for those who still haven’t seen them
  14. Perhaps some sort of coding error? I only ever saw the Accessory Set on the US shop@home so I imagine there’s been a technical issue and all three will be back up with a day or two.
  15. So we aren’t guaranteed all the designs in each set?!? Ugh. Still, 10/16 isn’t horrible odds. so from what I can see: Accessory Pack (10/16) 1. Harry 2. Ron 3. Hermione 4. Ginny 5. Cedric 6. Luna 7. Voldemort 8. Bellatrix 9. Patronus spell 10. Incendio spell 11. Gold Hogwarts emblem 12. Spell starting with ‘C’ (possibly confundus, it’s black lettering spiraling inward) 13. Possibly Wingardium Leviosa (looks like a feather on a pale pink background) 14. Some sort of white circle on a black background 15. Deathly Hallows symbol 16. Unknown Desk Kit (10/? possibly 16 as well) 1. Dumbledore 2. McGonagall 3. Snape 4. Hagrid 5. Hedwig 6. Chocolate frog card 7. Chocolate frog emblem 8. Hogwarts letter 9. Winged key 10. Hogwarts silhouette 11. Golden snitch 12. Time turner 13. Felix Felicis 14. Quidditch goal hoops 15. Sorting Hat 16. Possibly Dobby (only seen this one in a low quality lifestyle pic so far so it’s hard to tell)
  16. Now that you mention it, two of the tiles I was scratching my head over in one of the lifestyle shots do seem to be Voldemort and Bellatrix. Good catch, I recognize that I’m not the best at discerning the tiles when they very small in the lifestyle shots (Luna is very lucky her specterspecs are so distinctive, or I would have missed her too). There are a couple other tiles in the same shot as Voldy and Bella I still can’t identify for the life of me though.
  17. So, for the record: Hogwarts Accessory Pack- bracelet, sew on patch, 2 bag tags (rectangular and lightning bolt shaped): Chibi faces: - Harry - Ron - Hermione - Draco - Neville(?) - Ginny - Luna - Voldemort - Bellatrix Other: - Gold Hogwarts emblem - Patronus stag - some sort of flame - there seem to be others as well Hogwarts Desk Kit- Photo Frame, Paperclip Tray, Lockable Trinket Box, Golden Snitch Phot Cube, Adhesive Patch: Chibis: - Dumbledore - McGonagall - Snape - Hagrid - Hedwig Other: - Hogwarts letter - Winged Key - Hogwarts silhouette - Golden Snitch - Chocolate Frog card - purple and gold Chocolate Frog emblem - time turner (different print than the minifig accessory) - Felix Felicis(?) - again there seem to be others that aren’t easily discernible Overall, it doesn’t look like we’ll get a complete list of new prints until reviews drop. Lego didn’t seem nearly as considerate about properly showing off all the new exclusive prints as they did with the Mickey & Friends licensed DOTS, both these sets has at least one tile in the lifestyle shots that’s clearly something different but also can’t be properly identified because it’s so tiny. It should also be noted that most, if not all, of the printed tiles are on a white base, even if the background of the printed design is colored. Personally, I’ll probably only end up grabbing the Accessory set, but that’s largely because I’ve been tempted by the DOTS sew-on patches for awhile and the combination of a Harry Potter theme and the last chance at getting DOTS is finally spurring me to give in. I can definitely see most AFOLs skipping these, but I think they’ll be popular enough amongst DOTS target audience (which likely has a decent overlap with the chibi designs, hence licensing them for this).
  18. Yeah, in the movie her eyes are oblong and slightly angled, so whenever some toy company tries to standardizing stylization and give her perfectly round eyes it just looks off. Personally, I wish the designers would have deviated from the normal expressionless look here, black 1x1 round tiles with arcs or half circles to recreate her happy or angry expressions would have looked much better in this situation.
  19. I feel the same. Shame there’s no exclusive prints, but given the nature of the set I suspected this one wouldn’t have any. The other two sound more promising in that regard, and with any luck we’ll see them leak in the next 24 hours. (For the handful of people coming here that are actually interested in the set - it also includes a Hogwarts letter photo holder in addition to the Hedwig pencil cup, so it makes for a cute little mini desk set) Edit: as I wrote this, photos of the other two sets just dropped - much too blurry to see if there are any new prints though
  20. Maybe if it were regular sets, but with the DOTS theme as a whole ending with the March sets I’m not sure how much lego will actually be planning to hype these sets. And while a PG-13 movie and standard playsets have a decent level of overlap in target audiences - a violent video game with an older teen rating and DOTS of all crossover themes? Not so much. Hopefully, with next week marking T minus 1 month and counting on their reported release we’ll see them unceremoniously added to shop@home, but I can’t say I’m not worried that the turmoil from DOTS being cancelled will delay things.
  21. Winnie the Pooh would also fall under that description, wouldn’t it? I still think it’s weird they made a whole bunch of new molds for a single 18+ Ideas set and haven’t reused them for a wave of sets rated for Pooh’s actual target audience.
  22. Given that the Harry Potter DOTS sets are scheduled to release in less than 2 months, surely there’s some sort of chance that Lego will just do an official reveal that coincides with the Toy Fair? Obviously the 2HY sets aren’t going to be there and the best we can hope for is vague descriptions or even just names or hints and the two unknowns, but the DOTS sets are a different matter.
  23. It’s hard to say for certain, but there have been official materials released stating a March release date. Most of the upcoming March sets have already been added to shop@home, but with March being the last of the DOTS sets I can see Lego dragging their feet and not making a lot of fanfare when putting them up. Usually we see images of new sets at least a month before they’re slated for release, so we should get something within the next couple of weeks. I’m also itching to finally see set photos. ‘Hedwig pencil holder’ is pretty self explanatory, but ‘Hogwarts Accessories Multipack’ and ‘Hogwarts Desk Kit’ tease many possibilities for variety and unique new prints.
  24. I’m kinda surprised as well. Usually series get planned a year in advance, which gives plenty of time for Disney and Lego to realize just how popular the movie and its songs were since it was such an instant hit. Theoretically, by the time the character choices were being finalized Lego really should have been kicking themselves over not including Bruno in the Casita minidoll set and itching to rectify that. My best guess is that Coco’s similar themes made them decide that there shouldn’t be characters from both movies in the same series, and Coco took priority because it’s the series’s Pixar representation.
  25. The characters might have come into Disney through Marvel, but the movie was done by Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures - no Marvel Studios involved so far as I can tell.
