LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

It does appear to be red and gold in these, I wonder if EW had weird lighting or that wasn't the final suit, or if the merchandise makers were just given concept art that ended up not being the final design Ouch. -

I don't get many, I just have boba fett, the create-a-brickhead one, and if the sith trooper' available individually I'll get it. I used to have a few more but I sold them. it looks so stupid, his mouth just increases in size like 4x what it should be Still looks super weird and ugly. And as for the second, when else are you thinking it would come out? The only other siginifigant dates are the release dates for TROS and the mandalorian. Does lego do promos when a star wars film releases? They did a few for marvel, mostly with leftover stock of the bricktober pack, but I can't think of anything for star wars. -

I believe so, so then could the kenobi one be a 2020 thing? It'd be weird for it to leak so early, but I can't think of any other times for them to do it. Happened with the sandspeeder awhile ago, but I agree, kylo's helmet looks really weird. Sith trooper is nice, but I wouldn't spend $20 on it, so I'll only buy it if they become available individually like kylo ren and rey. -

Dang, I was hoping there'd be another way to obtain the polybag besides buying specifically the droid commander set, but it appears it is that and not a pricecap as I hoped. I have no use for the full droid commander set, so I guess I'll bricklink the polybag once it shows up online. Does anyone know how/when the 20th anniversery kenobi polybag will be made availible? -

It still adds to his mystery to never have him unmasked. Exactly. Though it's funny he has the "angry clone" face in some of his set appearences. Although the angry clone isn't even accurate as the clone troopers aren't white but maori. -

If they did Wilrow, it wouldn't be random. It may be a long time before we get another bespin set, especially one big enough, but I wish we got one. he's not too hard of a custom though. Ha! I like how we never really canonically see adult boba fett's face, I think it adds to the mystery of the character. However, using some of those BTS ROTJ photos, flitwick's face is pretty close Does anyone know how to get the droid commander polybag? -

I love the new destroyer, it's amazing. Time to go rob a bank or something for the $700. It really does look to be worth $700 despite only having the 4786ish pieces. The minifigures are somewhat disappointing though, the dark gray officer is fine and I like the boots but the second officer is too detailed, if that makes sense. He doesn't really look like he could fit in with the other officer figures, and while the level of detailing is amazing, he won't be cheap on bricklink, so it'd be pretty difficult to amass enough of him to crew anything. -

You're right, that's actually really cool. I assume the front may be deep space, but it's a nice touch that you build your isd from a corellian box. -

True, but that was a little CGI video with police speeder builds and more we didn't get that looked like it could be part of a set. This is the only non-set figure we've seen, so while not confirmation by any means it's possible we could see jet in a future wave. I can kind of make them out now, probably a stormtrooper and vader/an officer, yes? I wish it came with more figure but I think it doesn't need them as the set is enough of a draw, and also we don't know for sure just based on how terrible that image quality is, there might be something else, though I wouldn't put my hopes up for anything more than a MSE-6 droid. -

This set's very imposing, looks great. I can only find images of the back, and don't see any figures so I'm not sure if there are other images or if i just missed the figures, but personally I don't think it needs any. It's certainly big enough to justify $700 in my mind. -

I don't understand this at all. We were getting sets for a tv show that finished in 2014 as late as 2018, and we've had sets for every film after their initial wave (besides solo, just because it's only been a year since the initial wave). It won't be until after TROS when the SW films calm back down to one film every 2-3 years, but to say we'll never ever get another set is ludicrus. At the bare minimum, either vader's castle or the tantive IV was a rogue one set, as the "shuttle pilot is from the VR thing" excuse would mean that bail's appearance makes the tantive iv a rogue one set. Personally, vader's castle is rogue one to me and the tantive iv is mainly ANH. I also like your list of everything we could see for rogue one eventually. -

Yeah, other countries don't have it terrible compared to the U.S. Back to actual set discussion though, lego revealed some glorified force areana reskin called lego star wars battles, and a geonosis clone flame trooper (commander jet I believe) is shown, which is interesting as he's the only non-physically released figure in the promo images lego provided. Does this mean jet could appear in 2020? -

EXACTLY. I feel like people think canadian dollars, australian dollars, and Us dollars are all worth the same...they aren't. Exchange rates and prices really aren't terrible, guys. Things cost more in canada and australia because those dollars are worth less then US dollars, just like a yen isn't equivalent to a dollar as @TheRacker explains. -

Ah. I remember this, but I didn't know he quit because of it. A good point, especially with this star destroyer. $700 for 4700 massive plates is better than $500 for 4700 1x1s Mwahahahaha us capitalists have less difference in our lego prices. -

Did he leave or has he just not been on recently? It's almost certainly $700. All the leakers have said so. -

I was thinking that most of the OT/PT characters have appeared but then I remembered, nien numb, bacara, doom, galactic marines, p2 fox, etc. Don't hold your breath for one without a ton of studs, it's part of what makes lego look lego and unless they have a lot of large new plate piece molds, they aren't going to be able to make something that big and then tile it with just 4700 parts There are some pretty good custom brick-build L3s, nothing super accurate but they aren't much bigger than a minifigure, like L3 isn't much bigger than a human. I agree, there are so many great ships we never got from both series. We're closing in, it's seeming really likely. -

Yes, the variation is important, I wouldn't consider a set like the 2018 x-wing a remake of the 2016 resistance x wing, because they're based off different ship models I wanted this from the second I saw it in the trailer. Wouldn't put your hopes up for the poe from the y-wing though, we'd probably get a flight suit one. Or even rogue one and solo. A set of the final confrontation as one of those $20-30 playsets would sell pretty well, I mean having han solo in it would make it as iconic to most kids as obi-wan turning off a tractor beam, and the collection would be cool to have in lego, like the mandalorian armor and such. And we don't have a lego dryden yet.
