  1. Just hopping in here, it looks pretty cool with the smaller ships. I have my rebel and imperial fighters lined up next to eachother on the shelf/cubby unit I have with figs and small ground/refueling vehicles around them, it really adds to the display.
  2. Yeah Kallus touched on this but the force ghost issue is that they don't do transparent torsos/hips/hands for stress reasons, so it'd be weird. A single limb generally looks fine. The doctors told me I had dementia, but I don't remember asking I'm taking this out of context but it's hilarious to me to see "Kevin Feige is controversial, Joss Whedon deserves the credit" given... Joss Whedon. I agree. What this figure really needed was printed arms. Not everyone does, but the color distributions just doesn't work without them.
  3. The funniest outcome would be them having him on the boxart kicking the sh*t out of Thor. I'm pretty sure this is just a joke going over my head, but there's no way he doesn't visit the set. Lucas visits the set of star wars shows and he isn't even working on the franchise anymore. It appears to have a transparent leg, but other than that, you're right. The head in particular is such a downgrade It looks like a trans-clear dual-molded leg to me. Like you said though, potato quality, so I wouldn't be surprised if they used a prosthetic leg part
  4. I'd be happy to get those parts in new colors, but I gotta be honest, in that exact image the visor looks a shade darker than the helmet paint to me. Same with Vaughn, I've actually got a dark red visor on my copy of that fig too.
  5. This is really nice! The AAT is an excellent moc/mod, I like how you did the lower front. And that crab droid may be the best I've seen at that size, it uses parts very efficiently. Love the ice skate usage.
  6. Love the variants! The red definately makes the large-scale bricks on the end pop more, and the "canon" version looks great too. The "canon" version almost looks like a sort of fast-moving speeder now, I could see that thing tearing up infantry with the anti-personnel blasters.
  7. I think there is a markable difference. A Kevin Feige figure can really only happen in a big 18+ set like this, he's not going to show up in a standard set, and it's a cool way of celebrating the movies. (Also, if you want to get really technical, he was definately in and around the avengers tower- or at least, it's film set ). Wasp is just a random hero thrown in.
  8. We can always just say 15th anniversary of the MCU! The Kevin figure is awesome, a really nice touch. I hope this opens the door to getting a Dave Filoni figure (or at least Trapper Wolf figure with the cowboy hat) at some point in the star wars line. Wasp, on the other hand, annoys me a lot. It's a slot waste. This is 2 new prints, right? Why not use them on a character who was actually in or around the avengers tower?
  9. I've been getting more into transformers since I was introduced to Studio Series/Legacy, but this post got me to bite the bullet and buy one (Core Class Thundercracker) to see how he stacks up. Doesn't even make it to 10302's knee. I know the Cores are the smallest, but based on that I'd say Lego Prime is somewhere between a Commander and Titan class in terms of scale. Edit: Core Thundercracker's a delightful little guy, by the way. Despite how much I like the franchise don't think I've ever had a transformer besides 10302, so I was impressed by how complex the transformation is for a little $10 dude. And Thundercracker's always been one of my favorites just due to the IDW run.
  10. Love it! Always great to see some transformers love. How does this scale with 10302? It works well with the Studio Series figures apparently.
  11. For me it's always allies to "Allie's". I don't even know anyone named Allie! It would be cool to see a "lore realistic" version, the Mauler base is really cool (seriously, those guns are perfect too for anti-personnel) SCRATCH THE LORE IDEA, MIDISCALEENHTHUSIAST, I NEED A VERSION OF THIS WITH BRICK SEPERATERS ON THE ENDS, STAT.
  12. I'm gonna argue that. Exogol vs ROTJ: "Should we make our diorama about one of the most loved scenes in the saga on the movie's 40th anniversary, or a completely different scene from a poorly received movie from 4 years ago?" Ahsoka Chimera vs Rebels Chimera: "Should we make our Chimera set based on one of the most hyped up live action SW shows ever, that everybody seems to love, or a fairly well-received cartoon that ended 6 years back?" The answer seems pretty clear: They'll do neither and release the justifier 2 with a new clone legion. I think almost everyone wants an Ahsoka version as the ahsoka version actually looks substantially different than the standard ISD (I know the rebels one has the chimera logo on the bottom, but aside from that). We'll assumably see a more standard looking Chimera in the filoni movie anyway, so might as well get the cool gold-patched one now.
  13. My point was there is no 1HY beskar troopers battle pack scheduled for 2024, I just meant that we don't always get what seems like an obvious set choice. I don't see how the battlepack would hurt sales of the chimera. I don't think anyone would be buying the chimera solely for the when the chimera would likely have characters like exclusive to it
  14. I'll throw a few out: Spider-verse spider pack ($14.99): A hex portal, Peter Parkedcar, and 4 spider-people: Spectacular spider-man, Ben Reiley, Canadian spider-woman, and Web-slinger. The set's packaging advertises swapping parts between the spiders. Lizard Ambush ($19.99): Small bit of dock with an explode feature and a large buildible Lizard. Comes with Spider Man (PS5 suit) and Miles Morales (PS5 suit) Kraven's Spider Hunt ($49.99): A hunting jeep and swat van style vehicle that can be split in half. Comes with Kraven the Hunter, Spider-Man (symbiote suit with large tendril accessories to have him split the van in half), Spider-girl (Anya Corazon), and 2x of Kraven's hunters. Spider-Mech ($129.99): Massive Leopardon mech with spider-man (peter parker), Japenese Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Unlimited, Spider-Woman (Ultimate Jessica Drew), Morlun, and a large buildible Ultimate Goblin
  15. I agree, though I would have said we'd see a Beskar trooper battle pack in 1hy 2024, so...
  16. Very nice! I like the roundness of the cockpit, and the guns are excellent. When saw the title, my first thought was "c'mon, how do you mispell TIE?", but nope, you definately didn't!
  17. That's a good point, though I'd hope lego has enough common sense to not make Professor X completely out of re-used parts. We'll be lucky if it's not Wolveriene, Storm, Beast, and Venom.
  18. I think we're circling the reason that they DO do keychains and patches- they're cheaper to produce than sets.
  19. Not that it wouldn't be insane for them to not include professor x in the x-mansion, but companies have odd notions of representation. See: basically every redheaded character adaption in the last 10 years. But like I said, it would be insane for them not to put Professor X in the mansion... if for no other reason than they could get away with only doing a new print for the torso. First of all, that 130 million thing turned out to be only taking into account the original shooting, not reshoots, or something along those lines. Supposedly it's actually 270 million, a lot more consistent with other marvel films. But yes, sure, this is part of a conspiracy to make female superhero movies fail, because that makes any sense at all. And because the argument most fans who dislike captain marvel are making is definitely that they don't want female superheroes, not that they don't like this interpretation of captain marvel.
  20. That would be perfect. Marbled plastic's ability to make all the pieces slightly unique made the old marbled bionicle masks really special, and also was a cool thing for say, the marbled dark green/pearl gray 4x2x6 rock pieces, making it look like the moss was actually growing into the rock. I generally agree, but I don't understand why people seem to want all three of the very similar looking ones. It's not like they're army-buildable (beyond 3 so far) and I feel like having all 3 in a set would be a waste of two slots. I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of non-lego GWPS. Some of them, like the beskar ingot or death star plans, have been cool in theory, even if in practice... don't make it a keychain, just do a replica. Same with the death star plans being a coin. For this one, the credit chip is kind of cool, but the patches just seem completely worthless. Those are very much just for kids, and a $650 lego set is not something 99.99% of kids are gonna get their hands on. Ideally, they would have done a couple starfighters or small ships in-scale with the venator, with clear pieces to attach them, but if we have to do non-lego... just do Yularan's rank plaque.
  21. 100% agree, them and their captain have to be in a set soon. Only other thing I'll say is that whoever was complaining about the Venator's stand or whatever doesn't have to fear, because the ship in this episode has an opportunity to have the best stand of any UCS set.
  22. I love the spider-like direction you went with this one, it really helps it stand out among the others and fits Zuckuss well. Looking back on your mechs, they all work very well: the steampunk-like direction of Dengar's, the bipedal insectiod look of 4-Lom's, the almost techno-organic look of Bossk's, the upscaled IG-88 for IG-88, and the more traditional Boba Fett mech. (Though to be honest, I think Boba's might still be my favorite. They're all excellent, but the engineering on his legs and torso is just perfect.) Edit: If you ever want to continue the line, it'd be cool to see what you could do for other hunters. I can already see a samurai-like Embo mech or a cyberpunk-style Aurra Sing mech, and it'd be cool to see how you'd do Jango or Mando with them having similar armor to Boba.
  23. I've been telling you guys for weeks, it's venom, wolveriene, venomized wolveriene, and wolverized venomarine There are three blitzwing interpretations in transformers. G1's "You should build a bridge and jump off it", TFA's *This children's show character is a nazi scientist, right?* and Bumblebee's "DiD yOu ThInK yOu CoUlD hIdE?"
  24. Keep in mind, this is a line where we can't get cloth waistcapes anymore, and sets get more and more expensive, but no, it was imperative that the correct extra be added to the set. Now, are we going to get an accurate version of Huyang mailed out? (The droid is tan in the set, but white/sand blue in the show)? Never. Anyway, point being, while it'd be incredibly odd for any sort of post-release update to happen, it has before. Yeah, a friend of mine got one in the mail directly from lego because he had the box still and was able to provide whatever info was on there. I remember I was jealous back then because I chose the FO SD instead of the bomber, and there we go... But now you can take a picture of your instruction manual for a whopping 13 cents in VIP points!
  25. Not that failing to include a hulk would cause lego to "fix the set" by adding one, since it's something they'd consciously decide to not do before releasing it, but they have "fixed" sets after the fact before. Wall-E comes to mind as a structural issue with a part pack mailed out to fix the neck joint. The resistance bomber from star wars is a more comparable situation, where lego inexplicably decided that the fact that a generic pilot was included instead of named extra Finch Dallow was inexcusable and made new prints to "fix the set" for the final production run, and even mailed Finch figs to people who could prove they got earlier copies of the set.
