I don't really think we can say there's an accepted precedent when this new line has only been running for a year. They might be willing to bend rules depending on how much content is in each film.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Brick Cucumber replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
That makes a lot of sense as it said "Early Release" on the box. Here's hoping though! -
It's probably more likely to be the exclusive builds. But GOD do I wish they did a VIP Barb. Even as a Polybag it would be great.
-
just2good's review of the set with a look at the new Gabrielle face print. Anyone think he might be right in predicting these we're 2020 sets rolled into this year because of the popularity of the theme?
-
I think it being in production and also being in one of the later release sets probably points towards that. But then again, they could have just included it because we don't have an updated version for our own mocs.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I'm pretty sure they're talking about the Endgame set, not the Captain Marvel exclusive, seeing as we've already seen the dc exclusive. -
Trolls World Tour 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Brick Cucumber replied to leafan's topic in LEGO Licensed
A head for the Lego Trolls line has leaked. Seeing as it's a regular minifigure head, it might reflect that for the rest of the figs (Although the teaser looked to have a moulded head) -
If we're talking perfect torso's for Nancy, the Lucas torso works pretty damn well.
-
I've heard from people trying to recreate the design that the figure does have an alternate expression but I'm not sure what their source is.
-
Technically 6 if you count the baby. These cheap sets have been great for those "not technically minifigures" very desirable figures. God I LOVE this wave.

I think it kinda was the only choice. Most Lego hairpieces in that style sweep left, this is one of the few that goes to the right.

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors, Wishlists and Discussion
Brick Cucumber replied to RandomSniper109's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would expect them to reuse their new Beaubaxton's hairpiece for a CMF moulded in a different colour, maybe we'll get another student in one of the dresses they're seen in on their arrival. It'd be a great way to get a few of them so definitely on my wishlist for a CMF. -
If we get a second CMF series, I would definitely expect them to mould that new Beaubuxtons hairpiece in another colour for one of the other students. Such a great piece that was made for this line.

This looks more accurate to the one pictured on the sticker. My bad. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Funko and others still sell those exclusives elsewhere for people who can't get to the con. With Lego making a stand against regional exclusives and proving it can be done with the Vader bust, this is a massive slap in the face to any fans. Not even mentioning the fact it's a fan favorite character.

I find it really weird, because Lego THEMSELVES used this design for the missing poster, which looks more similar to Jay's new hairpiece than the Superman hair they used.

Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Brick Cucumber replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Huh, got the date wrong I guess. Still think they'll be making sets for that for a long while. But I will admit that probably opens up for more sets, although if Aladdin is any sign it probably won't be many. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Brick Cucumber replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm happier with it that way tbh, that way we'll get some comic accurate versions of those great characters. -
Peter's hand is in the cauldron Lego are really going all out with the dismemberment references this year. Edit: Also Harry's Blood in the cauldron. Lego be wild in 2019. It's kinda baffling how cheap some of the Harry Potter sets are. Just this year we've gotten 2 separate $20 sets with 4 great figures in each and some great builds. Genuinely the best line Lego is producing.
-
I just realized, the Baby Voldemort is the first ever 'figure' to use that Baby piece printed with a colour other than classic yellow Lego or the weird mini-doll one... Also the second ever licensed Baby.

Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Brick Cucumber replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't really know. The live action Aladdin came out and didn't have too much influence on this years sets (I really expected Abu or a mini-doll Genie at least). Also, with the darker less vibrant style Mulan seems to be going, I'm unsure if they'll cater too much to it. I'd expect one set maybe. Besides, I doubt there'll be room seeing as Frozen 2 is coming out next year. -
Exactly, she was a complex character who added a lot to the story, even through her death. I re-watched the series with my Mum and she instantly picked out Barb as a iconic character, her style and such really make her stand out which is reflected by the fact that the community instantly loved this side character. I don't know why people keep underselling her.
-
Still, maybe if we redirect the "Rebelling" to another company, they might step in. I'm desperate here...
-
If you're going to complain on their social media, tagging the Netflix and Stranger Things accounts would probably cause a bigger impact on them.
-
Barb was a fan favorite character. She was a integral character motivation for some of the main cast for the first two seasons. She also was the first of the Hawkins civillians to be killed by the demogorgon. She's an insanely important character to the series and it's obvious why she's a fan favorite. I don't see why people in this thread are trying so desperately to undersell her, are you trying to convince us or yourselves?

Who are these exclusives even for at this point? Fans hate them, even fans at the con hate that they're exclusive. I guess Lego is just making these to cater to Scalpers at this point.
