Same here... I also don´t like the Chosen design. I am thinking about doing a custom one now. It doesn´t require own moulded pieces, so it shoud be quite easy. I am sorry to be off topic, but could anyone tell me if the torso of Cyborg has the same siver colour as tin man from the tlm2-CMF? ^^´ Brickink doesn´t say something about that and the photos don´t really help.^^´

It depends on how Lego does it. I don't want another version of Mickey or Minnie, Donald, Daisy etc. (besides medium legged versions but then Scrooge would need a remake, too). If they do just new characters i'd be happy with a whole series of these figures. While i completely agree with you, that there are lots of characters left for a 3rd series, I don't think many of your desired characters would be included :/ Meg and Phil won't happen :/ they are not that important (even if i would love them beeing made most from all the missing classic film-characters). Malificent is that popular for a big part because of her many appearances in Kingdom Hearts so i also doubt Aurora. I could imagine Hunchbag and Frollo or Esmeralda, Snow White and the evil Queen, Mulan and Shan Yu in the next wave. Pochahontas seems quite unlikely, too, if I see all the people in youtube complaining about the movie beeing politically incorrect. I also don't think the evil guy from that movie would is very popular and John Smith would be a very boring figure, which could be easily done with existing pieces and prints. I could see them doing Belle, Beast and Gaston .

I will get Catwoman's head and headgear and 4 of these gorgeous printed Pieces to upgrade my Batmobil from Jokerland via bricklink. Without any new batman villan it is a really poor wave in my opinion. The last one had at least Firefly :/

I honestly don't understand even the expectation of "only" the original 21 characters. It was a big decision to do all 13 Dwarfs from "the hobbit" and at least all members of the fellowship of the ring. We never got Eowyn, Faramir, the Witchking, Sauron, Thrain, Thror or a Balrog - just to name a few very important characters. Simpsons doesn't have Lenny, Carl, Skinner and many more who would have been appropriate unlike Moe and Barney. Look how many SW and HP-Characters are missing. Lego never cared about completion for collectors. Lego will produce OW play sets as long as they sell well. I can't see a OW cmf happen. A Cmf would be a wasted oportunity for Lego. Lego only does 3 serieses per year. One regular one, two licenced. At least one of them was always filled with a lego movie the last years and as far as i know a new one called "Billion brick race" is going to be released next year or did i miss something? If Lego could make a second Harry Potter series, a third Disney, Looney Toons or so many other (just speaking about the number of fans who will likely buy everything they can get) stronger licences i highly doubt Overwatch will be chosen. One other big argument for my assumption is that Overwatch is great to do play sets while many other licences are not. The sweet mechs will also interest Kids who don't play the game. Which Sets could you do for example with Looney Toons except maybe the Road Runner with a picture of a road printed on a panel to run against it? Same for Hans Moleman, Patty and Selma, the characters from nightmare before christmas or chip&chap.

That's all a joke, isn't it? Or is the build so bad, the "no build" was ironic? My problem is, that he already gave so many good/correct hints, that i don't know if there is some information hidden?

I thought about building a Money Bin Moc for a long time (but decided to do a playset style Moe's Tavern instead). You can print a bunch of big panels (lego would of course ist cheap stickers) to make the room look much bigger and use something like the gold pile in the Smaug-Set for Scrooge sinking in at a few pots. Lego would never fill a lot of open space with loose bricks. The only Time something slightly comparable happened was the Ideas ship in the bottle and that was a closed space in a display model where you don't loose about 100 prices per day playing with it... If Lego would do it really filled with loose coins(what i can't imagine under any circumstances) they for sure wouldn't use crome prices. You could expect unprinted 1x1-roundtiles in yellow or Pearl Gold at best and that would look terrible.

I am a bit dissapointed. The missing Goofy is a bad joke. I don´t even care about Pluto not beeing inclued, because i would not buy a bipedal version and a design like Scooby doo wouln´t be realeased as an accessory. I don´t like the black and White design of Mickey and Minnie at all and they completely unnecessary in the Cmf after beeing in the ideas set in the nearly exact same version. Thinking about their headgear already beeing reused the accessory seams even worse than it is. I do not unerstand why Edna is inclued after beeing released in a polybag a short time ago and Frozone should already have been in the sets. The two spots could have been filled for example with Goofy and Pete... or Woody with printed long arms and legs... or one of the Beagle Boys, Magica De Spell... there woul have been uncountable more better possibilities. Many characters aren´t represented very well. Hades looks really bad with his face and the flames are a poor choice. Either Jafars face is printed to small and low placed on the head or the edge of his hat is much to high, because his forehead wasn´t that gigantic. Hercules´ upper body looks much too slim and would have either required a muscular mould like Mr. Indreible already needed or at least a smaller and lower placed print for the belt to make his upper boody look at least a little bigger. Besides that Herc´s hair mould isn´t as perfect as it could be and i can´t remember about him having a shield. The two guys from Nightmare before Cristmas would have really needed Woody´s long legs and arms. Anna misses a bit of grey print on her hairpiece. I think some moulds were not the best choice. Two minifigures without hair in just this series should be enough reason to finally introduce a little piece to let the stud dissapear. It could be reused for really every licence from Dwalin in "the Hobbit", "Super heroes"-figures like deadpool, deathstroke, deadshot and many more to Pirates of the Carribean, where some figures didn´t have a hairpiece. Instead we get this flower, the ice Crystal Elsa is holding and some hairpieces really similar to alreay existing ones... Jasmine looks perfect. Like Arielle her accessory isn´t that great, but i wasn´t expecting anything anymore at this point so a random little bird is a nice surprise. Like i expected the ducks and chipmunks - classic cartoon characters done with specific head moulds like the Simpsons Series was - are incredible. I love every one of them and will get them.

Honestly i don't think so. I see no reason why Lego would do that. Lego never cared about completion for collectors. Skinner (Simpsons) Eowyn, Witchking of Angmar, Faramir (Lotr) Thrain and Thror (Hobbit) are just some examples. I could go on and on with missing characters from Harry Potter and Star wars, too. None of them would have been a big deal to include. Steamboat Wille Pete has a very different face than the modern version, which is more popular for most people. A special mould exklusive to this one version of Pete (Not reusable for many Outfits like Mickeys or Donalds, which were even usabale for Daisy and Minnie) seemes like a "wasted" mould in the series. I guess after seeing Mickey and Minie from the Ideasset we can now asume Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Minnie wont reappear with midsized legs. Looking at the toy story 4 sets we can also say a comeback of woodys long legs and arms is highly unlikely for Goofy (if he is even included) ... That makes the whole series much less interesting to me. After Hades beeing leaked i guess we can say Hercules is a save bet. What so you guys think? Does that mean a new sword mould (there can't be enough swords?).

I agree to all of that except Kingdom hearts. I don't think they would go this way with only one Character. There is also the licende question with Square enix beeing involved. In Germany Donald is even more popular than Mickey. They will include him. If we get midsized legs, black outfit and maybe an Angry head he works perfectly fine.

Do we know anything about the inclued minifgures? Are there any new Batman villans? From what read and saw, this will be a really cheap year for me :/ Catwoman is an unbelievable improvement over all her other versions to me. I also have to get Firefly inkluding his Jetpack. If thats everything i am really dissaponted. No Mad hatter... no Hush...

I highly doubt they will do a new hairpiece for Ron. I think it is allways about: - how important is the character? (Harry, Hermoine, Ron and Hagrid are so important, they have to be captured really good. The stupid look of Kilis hairpiece without quiver wasn´t enough to do a new mould for Thorin (the most important character after Bilbo and Gandalf, who also got a reused old hat with a buckle he doesn´t have in the movie and without hair) and Fili even if they could have used it in 4 sets. They reused even Dwalin´s beard Gloins face for Dain Ironfoot so he looks nothing like in the movie) To be honest i would not say Ron is more important than Thorin or Gandalf for their licences. - how much does this licenced character need a new mould to be represented well? (It is nearly impossible to recognize Trelawney or mad eye with any other headpiece. Hermonine and Harry from year 1 and 2 are looking so much better with their new hairpiece, while Han Solo´s and Skywalker´s Hairpieces do a perfect job for Ron and a new mould wouldn´t be much of an improvement. A hairpiece without hair just to cover up the stud would improve so many characters from Deadpool and Deathstroke, Lex Luthor, Dwalin to Voldemort and many others so much more, but Lego does´t do one. Just look at how often Aragorn´s hair was reused until now for characters looking anywhere similar. So i can´t see Ron justyfying a new mould in their eyes) - how usefull/reusable is the piece? Dumbledores new hairpiece without hat is really needed since Gandalf was released already outdated at his time and Lunas Long and just a bit curly hair is an important addition to the straight hair from series 10 reused for example with Cho and some other completely different hairstyles. I can see both pieces reused for years in the future like Gandalfs hair was before since the pirate sets, when i was a child. Like someone already said. Sirius is shown with mad eye´s hair. It fits perfectly and they can save money by reusing it. On top of that he is less important than Ron. They will reuse it.

As far as i remember we had a view unprinted heads leaked, so a handfull of characters was known some time earlier - but one of them was Snake who came in the Kwik-E-Mart, so even that wasn´t correct for the Simpsons series 2. I guess some pictures of commercials leaked a few characters of the series 18 like the Cowboy quite early. I´d say Lego is getting better and better in keeping it a secret but it is already really long ago since we got a complete list some time before the release.

@Duncan Young Sry, I thought "Batman and Robin and Mr. Freeze" was the real set name and did not know they are just a bad translation.^^´ I thoght it must be meaning a "batman and Robin" set because you wouldn´t use two times "and". That´s why i was dissapointed, when i learned Mr. Freeze is no Schwarzenegger version. Catwomans Face is just perfect... If we get TLBM-Catwomans Headgear in black it will be in my opinion the best possible representation of her. The only thing i would like that much would be a arkham games Catwoman with a bit of hair under her hat not using the googles. riddler isn´t that bad but in my opinion the TLBM-Version of him was perfection especially with his question mark staff. If the face is too much like a Cartoon you can easily take another face. This version isn´t bad but looks much worse to me.

I watched it in English now... The German Version is by far the worst failure of a translation i ever experienced in a film or video game until now. My friends - including females - and me saw the German version as hostile against men in general. I can´t see anything of that in the English version. The figures are nowhere as aggressive or insulting to each other. Some stuff makes sense instead of seeming to be said just to buy time. It´s also much more clear, what happened to Emmet/Rex exactly and that the others were not able to save him. Rex´ goals are also much better communicated, while in the German version it seems like he is only caring about Emmet and just wants to help him, while the doesn´t care aout the others anymore for good reason. I still think the movie isn´t really good because of the humor (even if it is much better in English), the lack of character development compared to the first movies and the worlds - for example i would have really enjoyed an Elves world or heartlake city instead of the design of harmony town - and some other things, But all the stuff i really hate about it is seemingly exclusive to the German version. Like i said in my first post, i wasn´t able to imagine, there would be THAT much difference :/ @Aanchir I thought in the beginning it was shown from the two perspectives. What confuses me is the connection between reallife and "Legoverse". Is Finn even there, when his sister plays with the captured figures in her room? Is Rex really time travelling? He disappears after a real live fight. so i thought that was real in the movie like Emmet was really moving in the first one. How can Rex come to save Emmet with his ship and be part of the Story, when Finn is playing with Emmet. Wouldn´t a real flying Lego ship nobody build be at least irritating for Finn?

Fair Point.^^ In my opinion it is different because the world around them gives them reason to change or not. Emmet seems more naive than in the first one. He was afraid of getting hurt when the "super secret police" shot at them or there was a high risk of being captured. He was sad, when Unikittys home was destroyed. I would totally understand if he tries to move on inside the wall. I would understand if he gets maybe only 10% tougher instead of a change like Chainsawdave... But beeing nonstop extra happy between the ruins of his hometown and building a house in a war zone outside the wall feels wrong after years of alienattacks. This is subjective, of course. Benny on the other hand was just happy to be finally allowed to build a spaceship in the first movie. Even in the biggest battle he was laughing insanely. He wasn´t even angry against the Robots who kept him for years from building spaceships. I can´t even see a reason for him to be aggressive against the Aliens now (he wasn´t) but espacially not to shout that way at his buddy to shut up. Compared to her rage moments in the first she wasn´t that angry at the beginning in my opinion. I also wouldn´t call her allways aggressive. But in the first movie she had to suppress her anger for example, when they met her for the first time and she told there aren´t any negative emotions allowed and you must burry them deep inside - becomming red for a few seconds. That she doesn´t have any problems with that while beeing kidnapped feels odd. In comination with all the male charakters seeming more aggressive and/or more naive it made me wonder. I don´t think Emmet is pathetic (especially not in the first one). But it really seemed to me like the people making the movie tried to make him look like that. Like i said, after beeing a big help with his mech in the first movie he fails that bad with his trippledecker couch. It seems like he made 3 steps back. I guess the translation was really a bigger Problem than i thought... In German Lucy changes betreen "ironic" and "unsure" voice every time she says something good about him and Mayhems words are really harsh. Even in the end, when Lucy says he is fine the way he is. If that´s not the case in English it will seem very different. Ok, that changes really everything. I thought they knew he got lost because there was a scene where Emmet/Rex saw everyone from his spot, so they should have seen him. If it´s the case, they cant recognize him because he is in an "other world/dimension", my main problem with the story is gone. Thank you! :) Ok, that was a stupid statement. Instead of "all" i really should have said the more central characters at that point. I thought no male character was a Merry Sue because none of them seemed very powerfull at all besides Rex and Emmet at the end who are the villain and had to train. With "all" female characters i meant the ones with more screentime Lucy, the Queen and Mayhem. Mayhem is the best pilot, can sneak into the bunker like nobody else, defeats all established heroes within seconds and has in the German Version not a moment weakness i could remember besides the lost fight against Lucy. The Queen doesn´t fight but plays everyone around her like a fiddle and it seemed like her only flaw was the people around her not understanding how great she is, which fits quite well to the definitition of a Mary Sue. With the tone of the original voiceacting not making it seem like every of Finns characters was just wrong about her and the hypnosis, i take that back for sure. Same for Lucy if she learns a lesson and isn´t just mean to Emmet for the whole movie. From what you have said before, that´s something i can comepletely agree on now. With Rex not beeing right all the time and the seemingly completely different tone of the whole Story in the Englisch version it seems to become a whole different movie. I am sorry for getting that wrong.^^´ That defensive reflex is result of my daily live... Already got labled as a hardcore communist because i asked in my class about economics in history why indirect taxes were accepted as more fair in the medieval society. Took me months to get rid of that rumor one single guy spread. Similar stuff happened to a lot of buddies. I am working on that outside the campus.^^´ That´s maybe the case. I guess it really depends on what you call feminine and masculine. Personally i don´t see any abilitys and virtues as masculine or feminine. I see them as good, neutral or bad and think a person should do everything possible to be the best person he or she can become. Most times it is the golden middle between classical feminine and masculine. I see a choleric man who yells at his son for writing a bad grade for hours just as negative as an overprotecting mother who doesn´t ask if he could maybe be better prepared the next time. It would be good if Emmet was a better Pilot and more confident. It is nice that he has a smile on his face and wants to cheer other people up. Why can´t he work on his weaknesses and still keep his strengths? That´s what characters like Eowyn does. She still has flaws... especially bad cooking (joke) ... but works on them. Where did i say Lucy wasn´t a main character? In my opinion she was in the first one, too. You know, that she learned exactly that in the first movie already and fell in love with him for beeing an optimistic and happy little guy who cares about others...? That is the reason it hurts so much listening to her completey out of character first dialouge with Mayhem. It is like Luke throwing his lightsaber away and saying he came here to die, while he left a map to find him - if the lightsaber had feelings . What means Mary Sue in your opinion? As far as i know Mary Sue is a term for characters who can do anything without need of training and beeing a character without depth. It is used on both sexes and called "Mary Sue" because the prototype of such a charakter was called that way. I can´t see anything sexist about it and i really try to understand you. Could you explain that to me? If this is a accusation towards me you should think twice. You are probalby much more sexist than i am. I am in fact not. Mulan, Eowyn and Lucien for example are three of my favourite characters of all time. My problem are poorly written characters, which are mostly female because some weak writers think their job is done as soon as a female character is "strong" and spend the rest of the day patting their own shoulder. Marge Simpson who trained after getting robbed has in this one 20-Minutes-Episode more depth than Rey or Phasma from 2 Star Wars movies. Give me more Ripleys and i am happy. Try to separate Lucy in this movie from the one in the first one. There is no development in the second. If we ignore this terrible stuff she says about Emmet and say it is just because of the awfull translation, this is her Story: She wants Emmet to do what is necessery to survive (It is also out of character that Emmet seems to be never worried in the beginning of tlm2. He felt fear in dangerous situations the first movie and would have changed with years of Alien attacks). Then the danger is gone at the end of the movie. There is no need to be tough anymore in lack of any enemy. That´s the reason why she doesn´t want him to destroy the wedding. That´s no character development. If the racist old man in Gran Torino learns to let his prejudice go, this is something he has learned. If he gets new white neighbours, he will act different but without any development. The Queen is evil. She talks and acts evil. Than she says it is a "Kommunikationsproblem", "communication problem" and everything is fine, because people see how great she is... Brainwashing and kidnapping included. Mayhem beats up Batman, Ironbeard, Lucy and Emmet (You know... the one who build the big Mech in the first one and became quite skilled, what he isn´t anymore), insults Emmet and gets beaten up later by Lucy alone, who is now strong enough without training... A good idea would have been if the younger kid (no matter which sex it has) would learn to be more carefull and don´t come into the room saying "We are going to destroy you!" and smahing everything while the older one tries to include him of her. That would be basic socialisation and a nice theme. I didn´t say realizing that they are toys makes his relationships less real and i dont get where your speech of feminism comes from... :/ I said in his timeline everybody else acted terrible. Nobody helped him when he needed them and it is even worse thinking about how unbelievable easy it would have been for them to help. This isn´t friendship. That´s the reason why he is right about not caring about THE others anymore - not others in general, but really every other single toy in that room, that let him down. I don´t care about him being a Rex or a Regina Dangervest. I am just shocked by this poor writing. If it is all about your feelings and feminism, let´s change the characters sexes for a second. A male king kidnapps and manipulates Batgirl to marriage. The kidnapper humilates together with Luke, one of the kidnapped people, Lukes girlfriend. Regina is left alone by all her friends when she is in need of their help and recognizes, she can not rely on them at all... which is her own fault by the movies narrative. Getting angry allready? To me both films would be equally bad...

Am i the only one who sees some similarity between TLM2 and SW Episode 8? I have to say, i saw the German Version. I know the first movie and the Batman Movie in English and German. The Translation was great. The way they changed for example jokes to work in German was perfect. Part two seems to be translated by Google and is causing me pain while watching. They should really fire and sue the guy who did that... and everyone of the voice actors, who did not recognise what rubbish they were talking from time to time (both in meaning and grammar). It was the quality of very cheap video games. I often recognised what they wanted to say in English but even with that in mind at best one out of five jokes made me smirk a bit. The humor in part one and the Batman Movie was hilarious. Thinking about how bad the translation was it could be characters are slightly dfferent in the original language but i doubt there is so much difference. The music is not the best in the original Version (listened to it on Youtube)... But in the German version every bit of rythm is broken. I am shoked by the way they changed for example Benny, the joyfull little guy, who was only sad everytime he was not allowed to build a spaceship, to a psycho with that insane angry look screeming at people when they talk to him while he flies his spaceship. It was so out of character. Unikitty on the other hand isn´t aggressive anymore. If you take all of what she is saying, Wildstyle is clearly looking down on Emmet. In the end she doesn´t change her opinion about him but thinks it is good, that he is pathetic. Emmet was never the smartest. The way they mocked him with the double decker couch in the first movie was really heavy but funny and not against him as a person. When Sweet Mayhem talks about him beeing completely useless (not his idea) it goes much too far and Lucy agrees instead of defending him like any Person with a sense of decency would. Mayhem calls him "Nullnummer", which is a really hard version of "looser" and Wildstyle doesn´t know what to say because she thinks the same... The way she talks about his different qualitys seems ironic. I am disgusted by anyone who sees that as an acceptable behavior for a friend or a boy/girlfriend. In my opinion Lucy is the true villain the way she is pictured. The tripple decker couch, which is failing on rescuing Lucy, is like the cherry on his humilation. If we ignore everything i wrote until now, there is still one thing: Rex is right. If you follow the films own new narrative where the minifigures can walk around (even if it is not that elegant) like in Toy Story, they forget about Emmet for years and dont help him. Rex has every right on earth to be only caring about himself. They don´t even have to look for him. They could timetravel to see where he landed or warn him at least. These people are not his friends. On the other hand: would Emmet like we know him from the past really stay there till his mind is broken instead of going back by himself beeing a little angry and dissapointed but not hating everyone? Of course new writers and directors can set their own tone. But they did to every single main character from the first movie what Disney did to Luke Skywalker. Every female character is a Mary Sue. Every male character is stupid and/or hyperaggressive in a way he wasn´t before... The only ones learning are the male characters. And the only thing they are learning is that the females are right and nice even if they act and talk terrible because of a "communication problem". It´s a message i would my kids not want to hear no matter which sex they are. I love one thing about the Movie: the raptors. Every sceene with them is good and the jokes are working no matter if you recognise for example the Alien reference. If they made that a short movie out of this with a few additional sceenes it would have been awesome. Rex is cool in the middle of the movie. I do not see him as "toxic masculinity" like some comments i read, but as the kind of overcompensating superstrong/cool/clever character a older version of Finn would invent. He had great potential and i would have loved at least one sceene with him and Batman discussing who is the cooler one. That´s one of the reasons i hate the last 30% of the movie so much...

I know the term "dynamic duo" but never heard or read "Batman and Robin" as a established phrase which isn´t changed by the words sorrounding it. So "Batman and Robin and Alfred are here" would not feel wrong to a native speaker?

No, that would be accurate. Is that the real name? If that´s the case i am sorry. "76118 - Batman and Robin & Freeze Battle", which i read everywhere, is stupid. I wouldn´t say anything against "Batman, Robin and Mr Freeze", because it won´t lead to false conclusions.
