  1. Thanks! I shared this over on Reddit on /r/DigitalLego!
  2. Thanks! To my surprise, designing the Arendelle Castle was probably my favorite part!
  3. Thanks, Tom! Really appreciate all the work you do over at Brick Architect!
  4. "Do you want to build a [Lego]?" This build is done in the style of the Lego Architecture skyline series and features the castle of Arendelle, the town next to the castle, the rock trolls' home, Oaken's Trading Post and Sauna (yoo-hoo!), and Elsa's ice palace. Anyone interested can find instructions here and on Rebrickable.com. You can also see all my geeky builds on Instagram @BenBuildsLego. Dimensions: Approximately 12.3" x 2.8" x 7.7"
  5. Tokyo is definitely the standout of these two. I don't have any connection to either of these cities so I'm not currently tempted by them. I really hoping for a Chrysler Building next year to go along with the Empire State Building...
  6. Answering my own question: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-40337-gingerbread-house-promo-details-revealed/ Need to spend £100 in the UK between Dec. 12 - 15.
  7. Anyone who follows me on Instagram (@BenBuildsLego) knows that I'd love to see more fictional skylines (e.g. Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney movies, Lord of the Rings)!
  8. Do we know the purchase requirements for the Mini-Gingerbread house? I know the Christmas tree is GWP for $125+, but I have not seen any info for the mini Gingerbread house.
  9. Thanks! It's always tricky to determine what details are essential for capturing the overall look and feeling of the building.
  10. Thank you both, very much! :)
  11. I designed a micro rendition of the "Sleeping Beauty" castle found in Disneyland California (398 pieces)! Let me know what you think! You can find me on Instagram @BenBuildsLego and anyone interested in the instructions can find them here and on Rebrickable.
  12. Thanks for all the kind words and thoughtful comments!
  13. Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I agree with your assessment of how "Fellowship" flows together the best. I suppose as the journey becomes more epic with each book, the set pieces become larger and more distinct.
  14. Thank you very much! Very appreciated!
  15. Thank you very much! It was a fun challenge!
  16. For the last month I have been designing skylines for the three "The Lord of the Rings" movies/books! "The Fellowship of the Ring" features the Shire, Bree, Weathertop, Ford of Bruinen, Rivendell, Moria (behind Rivendell), the Doors of Durin, and the Gates of Argonath. Moria is hidden behind Rivendell :) "The Two Towers" features Edoras (with the Golden Hall), Fangorn Forest (with micro Ents), Isengard (with Orthanc), the Dead Marshes, and Helm's Deep. Helm's Deep has a play feature built it that allows you to launch part of the fortified wall into the air to reenact the explosion. Here is a view looking down over the Dead Marshes: "The Return of the King" features Minas Tirith, The Black Gate, Barad-dur, the Tower of Cirith Ungol (with hidden Shelob on the back), and Mount Doom. Mount Doom's tiny play feature allows you to drop the ring into the top and it will come out the backside. And here is a view of all three of them lined up together. Anyone interested in seeing additional views can check out my Instagram page (@BenBuildsLego). Instructions are also available for all three on Rebrickable and via the link in my Instagram bio. Let me know what you think of them!
  17. These are now also available for those on Rebrickable! Isolated Castle Disney World Skyline
  18. A lot of people expressed to me on my Instagram that they liked the castle, so I isolated it into its own mini-build! It's just 4" by 4." Instructions for anyone interested can be found here.
  19. Thank you! That was the icon I was worried the most about since it's the most iconic.
  20. I designed a skyline of Disney World that features the four icons of the parks: - Animal Kingdom: The Tree of Life - Epcot: Spaceship Earth (with the "Leave a Legacy" plaques) - The Magic Kingdom: Cinderella's Castle (with Walt Disney and Mickey statue) - Hollywood Studios: The Tower of Terror (with Sunset Blvd.) Instructions for anyone interested can be found here. Let me know what you think, and you can follow me on Instagram @BenBuildsLego!
  21. That's a very fair critique of Hoth, and I thought much of the same things while building it. I tried adding a teeny snowspeeder at one point but it just ended up looking hilariously out of scale.
  22. I received a lot of positive feedback on my "A New Hope" skyline, so here is the next installment: "The Empire Strikes Back." I'm currently working on creating a skyline with the same dimensions for each Star Wars film - you can see "Rogue One," and "Solo" on my Instagram and Flickr pages. I also made some slight modifications to the design to make the pieces more affordable. Anyone interested can find the instructions here.
  23. Thanks everyone for the kind words! I'm currently picking away at "The Empire Strikes Back!"
  24. Thanks! And yes, I'm in the (long) process of designing a skyline for each movie! Each skyline will have the same length dimensions and will be comprised of the top 3 most iconic locations from each film. You can start to see the concept taking shape here with "Solo," "Rogue One," and "A New Hope" all lined up!
  25. I designed a skyline in the manner of the Architecture skyline series for "A New Hope." The design features Tatooine, the Death Star hangar / Death Star, and Yavin IV. Let me know what you think! I made instructions for this build after some clean-up and minor alterations (instructions can be accessed here). You can also follow the fun on Instagram @BenBuildsLego!
