Box pictures for the bomber have leaked in the usual place. Confirmed that is it Sloane as the admiral. This does look like a pretty good set. -

Actually, I think that Luthen's shop might make a good set. It isn't super actiony but it is where a good amount of the story seems to be occurring and there is potential to put in a ton of extra little easter eggs in the sets. Plus it would be a logical way to put Mon in a set. Possibly combine it with her "car" and driver. And I wouldn't be so against the prison either, but will save judgement until that arc wraps up. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
MSY-MSP replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Is it possible that there might not be one this year? If none of the current modulars are retiring, a new one would put 5 modulars on the shelf at the same time. AS, BS, PS, BH, and what ever the new one is. Has there ever been a time when we had that many on the shelf at once? I know nothing, but it might be possible that the intended modular for 2023 ran into to some issues along the way and won't be able to be released. That would possibly explain the late price bump that the PS got. It was intended to be retired, but got a stay of execution due to some unforeseen reasons. -

I think Kuill may end up being only offered in the UCS Razor Crest. While he is an important character in season 1 he doesn't have that much screen time and where he does appear doesn't really make that appealing of set options. The only two potential sets that I could see him coming in would be a Blurg training set or possibly a microfighter set with the blurg. But a microfighter style set doesn't make sense to me as it would literally be a recreation of that part of the UCS set, which I cannot see Lego doing. Of the characters in the UCS set, the Mythrol has a better chance of coming out in another set than Kuill given the set options. Now of course this could all change if for some reason he appears in another of the shows that are out there such as Andor or Asoka. --- I have spoken. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
MSY-MSP replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Or just to make us even more angry, Lego decides to play around with the parts so that each box weighs exactly the same amount. My biggest question on the shift to boxes is how are retailers going to react. At least here in the States a large number of the retailers put them on hanging hooks in and around the checkout lines. They often can get 10 or so on a single hook. And you can put a lot of them on very quickly when in bags. With Vidiyo I never saw the boxes on anywhere but a shelf with the rest of the Lego section. If the retailers cannot put them on the hooks quickly or they take up too much space that there aren't a lot on a hook, the impulse buy factor seems to go way down on these. You would have to be actively looking for them in order to see them. This would likely on its own severely depress sales at retailers. -

If anyone is interested, Costco has online Boba Fett's throne room for $59.99. Pretty decent deal given that usually online is about $10 more than in store, but that is the same price our local Costco has it for in store. Though the amount of time I see this set on sale it seems to me it isn't a big seller. I would have thought it would have been a better seller simply because of some of the figures that are in it. But oh well, guess that is the way the cookie crumbles. -

I am going to go one step further. I really don't see Lego considering the actor who played the character determining whether or not they make a representation of the character. If we look at things, Lego didn't pull either of the sets that had Cara Dune in them, nor did they replace the character with another one in later production runs. For the AT-ST they could have subbed her out for Omera and on the Cruiser they could have subbed her out for either Bo-Katan or Koska Reeves, but they didn't. I think from a Lego point of view, they are going to go with the characters that make the most sense based on the show, not what the individual actor/actress may have done/said. The only time I can see Lego actively making a decision to omit a character from a particular set based on the actions of the individual who portrayed them is when that individual actively profits from Lego using their NIL. For example, if Lego were making a set for each of the NFL teams and when it came to making the Cleveland Browns set, they might (probably would) chose to exclude DeShawn Watson because of his alleged actions, and that they would have to pay him a royalty of some form. So WRT the Mythrol, I think he would appear in the set if it makes sense. And for the Razor Crest he is a pretty important character as he is the first one to ride in it in the series and also he gets frozen in carbonite on it as well. It would fit well with a play "feature" where you push him into the freezing area and spin/flip something and he gets "frozen". Also, with regards to the head mold, it may not be that big of a deal if we are going to see other Mythrol's in the other shows where it would make sense to reuse the mold. -

The idea of it being Episode 3 makes a lot of sense. Especially given the Kenobi series. My guess is that the Kenobi series starts on Utapau with the scene of the clones turning on him. Lego could have been told that this is where the story starts. Which would make for a good early tie in to the series without being too spoilery. Much the same way the BoBF used an existing scene for the palace as the lead in set. In this way it isn't a pivot from Episode 2 to Episode 3, but intentional from the beginning. -

Just giving this some thought and random logical analysis. We don't know where the Mandalorian season 3 is going to go. We know about his new starfighter, but does he get a new Razor Crest in the series? If so, then maybe a UCS Razor Crest may make sense. But for right now, I tend to agree with most folks that it is too new of an item and a bit outside of what they normally do for these types of sets. Of course maybe it could be a two ships in one Razor Crest and Slave 1 Bobba Fett's Firespray Starship. In all seriousness given the high focus on Hoth in the latest releases, Endor would make sense to me as simply moving to the next location. However, they could do something out of left field (Starkiller Base). Though at this price point it would likely have to be something that is iconic, which leads me away from it being the Jedi Temple, Geonosis, or Yavin 4. (All to big to do them justice at this price). So what iconic locals are left that can be done well at this price assuming it is MBS? Death Star (been done 2x before), Lars Homestead, Sail Barge and Sarlac Pit, Dagobah (unlikely as we just got the diorama), Endor bunker (maybe) or Ewok Village. There really aren't that many iconic locations that work well, and haven't been done recently. Just my 2 cents worth. -

Well I picked up the Dark Trooper Attack set at the local toy store here. (They had all the March 1 sets out on the shelves) I have to say that after putting it all together, I am not very impressed by the set as a whole. First of all I will say that the minifigures in it are pretty good. It might be worth buying the set for the minifigures. The build is ok, but nothing to write home about and has a ton of stickers for a 166 piece set. (15 stickers or 1 for every 9 pieces (once you eliminate minifigure parts)). While the set has some play features they don't really work so well with the set. If you put Luke in the elevator with his lightsaber you cannot spin the door around and have him pop out. The lightsaber prevents the complete rotation of the elevator. The slider to create the force action works to some degree, but you need to make sure the foot that isn't connected to the jumper is raised a little bit, or the friction from that foot will cause the trooper to fall off. The set also doesn't work so well as a display set. I think if they had gotten rid of the open area right after the elevator and made it look more like another hallway, it might work, but just being open doesn't work IMHO. For $30 the set is pushing the limits -

I happen to agree with you that Solo is severely underrated/underappreciated. I think the problem it had was with the way it was made and the associated negative publicity. I think folks immediately assumed that when Lord and Miller were let go that the film was doomed. So they never gave it the chance that it deserved. The story was good and there was real motivation in everything that occurred. It brings a lot to what influenced Han in the other movies. In reality the current group of Star Wars fans get immediately upset or dislike a show simply because it didn't do what they wanted from it. BoBF was the same way. It told a story that had to be told in the way that it occurred. Episodes 5 & 6 were necessary otherwise parts of Episode 7 simply wouldn't make any sense. Yes those episodes were out of place for the series but essential for the story telling purposes. The other thing they did was loop in all of the various characters and stories that are all intertwined in the new Star Wars world. Now as for the N-1. It looks ok to me. Not great. I think what Lego had to go with when they designed it was a basic back story on the craft. It was all silver/grey and was pieced together on Tatooine in Peli's shop. I think this is why it has the rough look to it. Clearly they didn't just throw this set together. They had some guidance, but maybe not to the level that they should have. Now the price seems a bit steep. But who knows what else might be in the set that hasn't been leaked. Also for those who think Peli is too tall the legs look very plain to me and it seems easy enough to swap the full size legs for the medium legs of the same color. I probably will hold off on buying this set until it shows up in teh local Costco. -

If you start putting too many of these on the market at once, the price will collapse. Ideally you would "make" a few of a number of the rare/valuable characters and make your bank that way. As to whether they are actual LEGO or not, given what I have read here I am of the opinion that they are real. I can think of several ways you could do this and not even appear on the radar of the LEGO folks as this is happening. Allow me to provide my theory on what actually occurred. I think these were created by someone who does maintenance on the molds. This gives them both the access to the molds and a way to create all of the colors that we see. As part of a process to maintain any mold you have to test it. Obviously this testing would occur somewhere other than the floor. And since this person would be doing testing they would very likely have access to the entire pallet of colors (as flow rates and the like you would want to observe). During the testing process they would create test pieces from the mold. These test pieces would likely be sent to quality control for review and the like. However, this person would be able to select which pieces went for review. But with full access to the pallet they could run off 100 or so of different colors as part of the process and no one would be any wiser. The only piece that I would presume wouldn't come through maintenance as frequently is the helmet piece. The rest are probably in the shop quite regularly. This allows the person both the means and the opportunity to pull this off. Changing the color that is formed is not a very time consuming or difficult operation. All you have to do is clear the very little residual material that was heated from the line. And there are tools for this that either use a specialized fluid or simple air pressure to clear the line. The plastic pellets are melted at the last moment prior to injection to minimize failure points.

Led Nem of clan Rau. He is a foundling who was a child at the time of Order 66. He was traveling with a Jedi who was ambushed and killed. He went into hiding as the Empire further attacked the planet taking with him the Jedi's lightsaber. He was found by Fenn Rau of the Protectors who took him in as a foundling. Led was raised in the ways of the Mandolore, always keeping the lightsaber with him. He has always had an attachment to the lightsaber, but doesn't know why. He is Mandolorian through and through. But lately he has been feeling the pull of the lightsaber.... 800x453.jpg (800×453) (bricksafe.com) [/img]

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. A quick search didn't find this. I was on the shop@home site looking for some last minute gifts for my girls. When I click on any item and go to where it has the option to purchase it (or not as the entire Friends line is out of stock on shop@home) the option to check store stock is no longer there. It was there a couple weeks ago, but now it is not. I found this incredibly useful especially as I don't live near a Lego store. However, driving to the in-laws for Christmas, I am going to drive by at 4 different Lego stores. I don't want to have to call each of them to figure out which route I am going to take. Anyone know what happened to this option?
