So weird, 60251 City Monster Truck uses printed brick for the truck instead of stickers. But they still do not like to make printed bricks for Police.

I think the ships released before 2010 were much better than this one so at the end of the day I have skipped this set, and already got the two new areoplanes!

Disappointing sets. But I will probably get only 60274 when it's on deal. I won't get it when it is Euro 20. I am confident that it will hit below Euro 10 then I will get it I really don't understand when Lego is releasing so many sets now every year of different themes and topics why they just don't release a nice-looking police station like set 6398?? Even one is good. Even one is enough for me to add to my brick city. Police stations of recent years are so bad

I will certainly buy LEGO 60261 (4+ aeroplane) AND LEGO 60262 (areoplane) For 60262 I will buy two sets, one set for play and one set for keep I will certainly buy 60263 and 60264 for a couple of sets because of its beautiful yellow submarine I will certainly not buying 60260. I will probably buy 60266, but not quite sure because the research boat isn't very attractive to me, nothing surprising

I once thought about getting doughnut shop but I skipped it at last, I like a bigger building instead of many smaller builds. The building on creator expert is my taste instead. Have you got the book store??

This thread is necro-bumped, but this topic is never! I happened to find this awesome thread that I agree so much so I need to reply to show my support and to further elaborate in hope of raising the awareness of the Lego company and other big merchants, and other innocent Lego fans as well. Yes it's very difficult, probably at the end of the day no more than 100 people will read and think carefully, but no problem, better than no voice. In addition, buying manipulated Lego set is a probability which is undeniable, not something "irrefutable", not happening always though.

When I look back at the pictures of the early Lego system sets, I think I wouldn't skip ANY single set if I were able to earn money and buy by myself in those time. Now, there are many sets that I'd immediately skip after the first glance because they are just...very not attractive.... For example, the recent City police stations.....

@Medzomorak Who is the one being subjective for real when a lot of people here talk about their experience of buying manipulated Lego sets and criticize the theft that we can see in this thread. I did never disagree that the chance of getting manipulated Lego set is quite low. But some people like to use their only convincing fact to elaborate anything else subjective. The chance is LOW, but not VERY LOW. This is common sense. A "rare" chance should also be taken seriously, not to mention a low one Now I even start to feel that stealing bricks lego sets and then returning may have become an organized criminal activities already. Some people focus on carefully opening the Lego box, some focus on cheeky returning in shops, some focus on selling their stealing, some focus on taking down voices on the internet.

Nevertheless, what I miss most is still the time of "Lego system". Do you? However, I was still a kid at those time so I wasn't able to buy any sets with my own will.... my parents were always reluctant to buy me lego when I could work and afford to buy, it was already the time of City. City also has a lot of great sets, but still cannot compare with the Lego system.... By the way, thanks for your great and fair support on another thread

I don't like hospitals in Friends, I think Friends is too girlish and doesn't match other City materials very well

I am NOT disagreeing with the return policy for ANY products. In fact, NOT every seller allows return and when a seller allows, they may apply restriction on kinds of products they allow. If return is not a risk to the general public and their business, why not just allowing return for any products? Does your underwear clothing allow return? Does fresh food allow return? In most cases, NO, even if a "friendly" merchant allows, they won't resell it again because they can readily understand the risks, but Lego is a problem, many retailers probably don't understand the risk very well and they haven't thought about the problem thoroughly. In a big local retail of my country where they allow return and I once asked about the possible risks and their frontline staff and even the manager weren't answering me confidently and looked like it was the first time they have heard of the possibility, it then simply implies that they don't even understand the risk before. Yes, in most cases most people won't do this nasty thing but one evil member of the herd is already bad enough to Lego fans community.

My reasons are always clear, direct and convincing, which I will not repeat here again and again. On the contrary you are just always speaking your own words, saying something otherwise in hope of confusing people. The reason behind is just so simple -- you are one of those who are doing this thing as the thread starter suggested.

Yes, you are so right. Sometimes I don't really understand what the American businessmen think in their mind. While they are offering friendly return or refund policies in hope of pleasing some customers, they are at the same time putting many other customers at risk. I understand that majority of people won't do this nasty trick but even if 1 out of 100 customers does this (in fact I believe there's more than that), their business reputation is then ruined. Yes, the real customer can still return the problematic product to them but he will be also impressed negatively. A friendly, easy return / refund policy always does more harm than good, especially for valuable products like Lego. Some may still like to keep arguing with me and say that "this won't often happen" , "this doesn't happen" ... Some may even argue that it's the customer rights or even human rights to return if they are not satisfied. I can only say it's just a mind of selfishness. If an easy return or refund is something inborn, why we cannot refund services? OK you finish dining at a restaurant, you are full and then you tell the captain you are not satisfied you don't pay the bill and walk out of the shop? you gonna have massage with happy ending and you tell the lady you are not satisfied and you don't pay and you just walk away? Many personal products are not returnable as well, not to mention services. It's really up to the seller if they allow their customers to return or refund, but they should at least investigate the returned products carefully before putting on the shelf again, not just doing things with a simple mind - Oh it looks okay, then it's okay.

In addition to city vehicles, I am particularly interested in their "starter" sets that usually comprise 4 minifigures e.g. 60120, 60072, 60100..... luckily I could still get 60072 and 60100 at a relatively acceptable price last year by the way, 60100 - airport starter set is one of the best value sets ever, 4 city people and a small helicopter!! Here in my country it's only $9 now (usd)

I understand that a big set like a hospital could induce higher risk for the sales and business so Lego is reluctant to take risk. However, I think they should at least release more ambulances which I don't see that they have done for the city series in recent years.... For city sets of recent years we can see a lot of police and fireman vehicles but hardly any ambulances.... Isn't medical services important part of a city???

Yes... I like their vehicles. I've got a lot of helicopter, trucks and police patrol cars, minifigures as well....

Yes, I hope there will be police station for the creator expert series... There was detective office but it does not exactly look like a police station. All other city police stations don't interest me. They are so simple and without much details inside

Looks like they focus on Police theme in recent years, and also the Fireman theme, a lot of different sets of Police and Firemen theme that we can easily find. But why do they reduce on producing hospital or clinic theme? even for the small sets... Yes I know there is 60204, but really only 60204 in recent years..... Probably the only reason is that the theme doesn't sell... However, I think 60204 sells very well..

yes, you are so right, I am interested in such truck --- the front of the truck is very flat and boxy, I am neither in Europe nor USA. But I have this truck too in real life. Is this style only available in 4643 or 60254 ????
