  1. 31119 When is the best time to buy it? I think price now is good, but not the best What is your opinion?
  2. A thread started in 2004 is still active today. What a wonderful world. 2004 was the best time in my life.
  3. In addition to the big toy shop here I mentioned before, there is a special section here in Toy r us that they put on sale for some sets because they want to clear the stock. Lego 80106 and 80107 are always on the sale but they are the oldest sets so this proves that these sets don't sell well compared to other sets
  4. When you are buying up to hundreds of Lego sets you will care about price. I am waiting for promotion discount, not the best time to get new City sets now. Here they often have 20% off and then 10% off discount for Lego
  5. I recommend you buy from European Amazon instead, usually much lower price
  6. Among all other themes, Chinese New Years sets are probably the sets that sell the worst. A big toy shop here in which they never have the best prices for most Lego sets but they obviously now want to clear the stock of 80106 and 80107, all other sets are sold for original prices but 80106 is now $45 and 80107 is only $65. Crazy I really don't understand. It is very obvious that those sets are overstock everywhere. Why Lego still produces so much of these sets?
  7. It's hard for me to give you any measurement result now, because it's now summer, sometimes air-conditioning in the room is turned on, but for some days when i am away the room is absolutely without turning on the air-conditioner. There could be a lot of fluctuations. It's hard for me to tell you the measure result right now But, what is the range of "Safe" temperature?
  8. Outdoor temperature here in the summer could reach 37°C, and the average temperature is 35°C in summer. As I said, all unopened sets are stored in my wardrobe, it's nothing special but a wardrobe for clothes and since I have more wardrobes than I need so some of them are used for Lego. That's it. OK, I've got a stick of cheap one dollar thermometer now, what's next? Yes my Lego sets will probably be put away for decades, not a few years, I have a bad habit, keeping Lego is my fetish, I like keep it more than to play it. People may not understand, everyone has their stories, when I was a kid I felt so excited in toy shop when I saw a lot of Lego on the shelf but most of the time I left with nothing, I now still feel so good by just grabbing up and looking at the sets
  9. OK, but what is the temperature I have to be concerned? after getting a theromometer I do not understand your chemistry's explaination...
  10. A friend of mine visited my home toy warehouse today and saw that I have a lot of unopened Lego sets, he isn't Lego fans and has never played Lego but he is quite educated, he said chances are Lego could partially melt or break down because of environmental challenges if they are put away for long time, say decades, is it possible???? My unopened sets are always put in a wardrobe where there isn't any air conditioning inside, temperature outdoor of my country could reach 30-35 °C. I have no idea about indoor temperature because I don't have a thermometer, but very very hot I can feel, Is what he said possible??
  11. I mean, for example, how many bags are contained in a set and what they are correspondingly. Since I have some sets that I don't like parts of them so I'd like to sell them away but I do not want to unopen any bags because it will not be regarded as new and final value will decrease
  12. Yes additive, wrong spelling
  13. I remember someone elsewhere said the composition of Lego brick was changed somehow in early 90s or 80s, I cannot remember the time but the point is, it has some changes, but some said no it never. Does anyone know if there was really some changes throughout the decades since Lego was born? By the way, is there any addictive or other chemicals added to manufacture Lego bricks? What are they? Did Lego ever provide such information?
  14. When you are buying up to hundreds of Lego sets you will care about price. The best of the best deal I've got recently is 60290 Skate Park for USD 44 (3 sets)
  15. There was two days super deal here in my country for prisoner transport it was only approx. 7€ something but it really needs a lot of luck and mess to get this price
  16. which country's ebay site usually has better deals? (neglecting international shipping cost)
  17. Like the mid of 2020, two new city sets of the same theme, one 4+ and one isn't, I was surprised last year because I waited for aircraft thing for so now but this year's wildlife is even more surprising. The wildlife set with two elephants while the small set also gives us two monkey which is of a great value
  18. just got three sets of 60290 skate park for a total of usd 44. was it a steal? wow, new city sets for the summer have been announced ? three sets a total? wow 60302 a great set !
  19. I am not optimistic about reselling. I have wrongly got a couple of City sets released a few years ago because I think they cannot fit my city well, I have put them on local sites but hardly anyone even asks, and honestly speaking the price is already lowest I am not expecting to earn, but still, no one asks.
  20. But I am not interested in those holiday villages or Christmas things. Put them in storage? What did you mean? Resell it later?
  21. Do you think Lego will release Arctic sets again within the next few years (before 2025)? Any guess? Because we have white plates hot deal here, but seems like it isn't useful for scenario otherwise than the Arctic
  22. Does anyone know if I buy some sets of 60304 now (because it's on special deal) but only open them a few years later (no time to play now) will the light piece lose its brightness over time?
  23. from what I have been observing for years, City is probably one of the most unwelcome theme among other themes. Friends, Creator Expert, and Star Wars and now Monkey Kid, especially Monkey Kid that I never pay any attention to it. Maybe I was born and raised in the age of Lego system, at that time, I think there was only town things.... But I still love City so much no matter what. However it is undeniable that some City sets in recent years are really poor but there are also some great sets. Poor sets are mostly Fire and Police
  24. We have two days super deal here but one customer cannot buy more than one set. This is the super deal I have ever seen. 60290 - approx. usd$15 60291 - approx. usd $31 60304 - approx. usd $12 60277 - approx. usd $31 but one customer is strictly supervised to buy one set only hard to make decision among this four
  25. What is the reason for 60290 Skate park to be sold for US$39.99 while it only has 195 pieces? Which parts make it this expensive?
