  1. A disappointing wave but that doesn't come as a suprise to me, I'll pick up the Miles and Cap mechs and call it a day. Thoughts: - Mechs: Cap and Miles have decent mechs and great figures. Thor's mech is hilariously bad and the figure just being a reuse with a new color for that helmet is pretty sad. - Ghost Rider set: I have to say I'm impressed by the look of the Hellcharger. Sad to say the Ghost Rider figure ruins the set for me. - Spidey v Sandman: not interesting for me personally but it's a neat set as far as 4+ goes. - Monstertruck: the monstertruck itself looks very uninteresting, a bland build that doesn't even make sense within the context of the universe. The figures however are pretty good, I like the updated Gwen and Mysterio looks great with his new green pieces. Doc Ock does seem to be based on the PS4 version as some speculated but imo it's a very bad rendition so I don't feel the need to get him. Stark drone looks very nice as well but this set is still a skip for me. - Spidey-Hidey-Hole: hasn't been revealed for some reason? Also, kinda disappointing that the webs in Miles' mech are in fact blue. I really appreciate the recolor but was it really that hard to get the colors right?
  2. The idea of Spider-Man as an Avenger goes back years, nothing new about that
  3. There's definetely room for some new characters. I'm personally expecting at least Aberforth, Bill and Narcissa to show up. Hopefully some other Death Eaters like Yaxley and Dolohov as well and Scabior is also pretty high on the list for me
  4. Or maybe I'm just really convincing and everyone is falling for my super evil masterplan [insert evil laugh here] Just kidding ofc, I've seen proof that the info is real
  5. Regardless of what version of DCEU Steppenwolf we're talking about both don't look good imo. But I do find this hilarious:
  6. What @Lego-Freak said is mostly correct, 76386 to 76395 are all normal sets and the Hogwarts crest mosaic isn't part of the HP theme but LEGO Art so it's not listed under HP. One small correction I have to make is that 40500 is an accessory pack, not an accessory pack or a Brickheadz. Setnumbers 40495 and 40496 however are potential Brickheadz sets but they could also be GWPs, we're not entirely sure Hope this clears it up.
  7. In my opinion it's not so much oversaturation as very poor timing that killed the Rebels subtheme. They released the Ghost right at the start of the series when a lot of people didn't really know the series yet and weren't all that excited about it (and let's face it, season 1 is pretty hard to get through). By the time the show was getting really good and it's fanbase was grower larger and larger the more important sets like the Ghost were already out of production and nowhere to be found. After that the 2016 wave was just the final nails in the coffin, with 4 new sets and none of them being what people actually wanted. I'm honestly still surprised we got the Phantom II in 2017.
  8. Harry Potter and Super Mario are all January 1st releases while the first Star Wars wave will release in February. It's not impossible but I doubt SW is next
  9. Complainers: BABY YODA IS A CHILD MURDERER!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! The same complainers the next morning: hmmm I love having these boiled eggs for breakfast! Still don't understand why people got so angry about that, the eggs were infertile. That's basically the same as us eating chicken eggs
  10. They're mad about Bo Katan's breastplate being shaped around her breasts. Even if it's correct both historically and in-universe people will find something to complain about
  11. That's not what you said though
  12. I know it's a fun and unique idea so LEGO will never do it but it would be cool if LEGO adapted Harry Potter's new Movie Moments subtheme for the Marvel theme. Remember those legofied Marvel posters LEGO often publishes (example below)? What if they made like a DVD case instead of a book with a Movie Moment based on the film in question on the inside? Highly doubt it's something LEGO would ever do but imo it's a neat idea. Could even work for comic books I guess
  13. I agree with this. It also really annoys me that the new Gryffindor torso appears 4 times but none of the sets has a Hufflepuff torso
  14. It's a recolor of the beard piece made for Dwalin and Dain from the The Hobbit sets
  15. In case someone hadn't noticed it yet there are 3 new 1x2 printed tiles in the sets as well:
  16. Looks like the Fat Friar is on the upper right sticker in the Herbology book. So that's what Marcos was talking about!
  17. Overall I really like these books, some great new figures and fantastic new stickers! The big negative here are the student torso's, why do they suddenly have small crests? It's not only inaccurate to the movies but also inconsistent with everything we've gotten so far! Really not a fan of this decision Some general thoughts on each book: Transfiguration - McGonagall is fantastic and there are a couple of fantastic stickers included! Definetely picking this one up! Potions - I appreciate the new Snape but it's not all that exciting, Seamus' new faceprint is great! This set also has a lot of very cool stickers, another one I will definetely pick up! Charms - This book is definetely my favorite. Flitwick is great and it's nice to get another Ravenclaw torso (albeit with the new inaccurate print). The interior itself also feels more complete than the rest of the books and there are a lot of lovely stickers in there. A must buy for sure! Herbology - I quite like the look of the interior, it's not particularly amazing but it does it's job. The figures however are really disappoiting. Sprout honestly looks like crap and Cedric and Neville look like they have just escaped St Mungo's psych ward for some reason Maybe I'll get it on a discount but atm I'm not that interested in this one.
  18. I disagree, there are a number of things they could do for the Marvel theme at that pricepoint and DC has already gotten 2 similarly priced D2Cs very recently, one of which came out less than a month ago. It's too soon for yet another one imo
  19. Something else to keep in mind is that LEGO makes these decisions because children apparently likes these recycled ideas but they completely ignore the sourcematerial. Peter Parkers Spider-Man has gotten 2 mechs during the last few waves, something that really doesn't make any sense. But LEGO just blindly ignores the fact that there are in fact Spider-people who do use a mech, one of which (Peni Parker) was even included in a beloved animated movie!
  20. Well maybe it's time for Marvel to start dictating what LEGO should make
  21. Definetely not Marvel's fault, otherwise I'd definetely wonder where Hasbro's keeping all their oversized motorcycles, mechs and jets I do really hope LEGO starts getting more creative and actually pays attention to source material, wether it's new or old. The comic sets aren't crap because they're based on the comics, they're crap because LEGO keeps reusing the same old concepts with next to no innovation. Right here and now I could throw a list of at least 15 Insomniac Spidey sets on the table but nope, gotta get more mechs
  22. Just finished the main story of Miles Morales (after having to wait an extra 2 days due to the postal service's incompetence ) and I've got to say it's amazing. Really kinda bothers me that LEGO never gives us anything from the Insomniac-verse instead of the crappy comic sets we've gotten for the last few years. There's so much potential!
  23. I'd prefer some kind of worldwide story tackling myths and similar things. Monster of Loch Ness, Bigfoot, the Minotaur, etc.
