What next vintage set could be recreated by TLG ?
Renny The Spaceman replied to Khargeust's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, exactly and especially with BDP just being and endless stream of Lion Knights Castles for different factions Castle has too many big sets for any collector to buy them all where as if there were a smaller set for X or Y potential remake it'd be easy to justify buying it -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Renny The Spaceman replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Power Miner's time will come, by 2034 every lego set will contain a new Rock Monster recolour, by 2049 every colour bar Lime Green and Orange is retired, by 2060 the CEO of the LEGO Group is a Rock Monster Are those suits rare now? They came in a few cheap sets plus had quite common remakes already, is there something I'm missing about this? Legally TLM characters WB properties, don't think they can be used without fees . It likely won't be a classic theme revival theme this time but one will come sooner or later absolutely, there's a lot of options but I feel like they wouldn't be as 2010s heavy as your lineup, but I could be wrong there, it was said the reason for Ninjago Legacy was the TV show being discovered by kids constantly and them wanting the earlier sets, annectdotally some LEGO employees do mention kids asking for Nexo Knights or whatever because they saw it on Netflix or ITV or whatever so maybe the Ninjago format themes from the 2010s would all be there. LEGO usually is on a delay with nostalgia though, they've not even really got to the 2000s bar Bionicle yet Please, the greatest lego creature ever made, it has to return Oh interesting, Tahu would feel like a normal theme because there are so many generic specially molded robot figures a Minifig Tahu could fit right in under a generic name, Lloyd isn't that though, it's a design that's kinda too tied to something kids know but far enough away from the basic image of a Ninja it'd not feel naturally like an archetype Yeah, this is also true, worth keeping a lid on excitement here -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Renny The Spaceman replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't know why people are thinking this'll be a special CMF, have I missed a leak? They've done remakes of Johnny Thunder, Basil or Dash from Alpha Team and all sorts of space figs in random CMFs. Is there any reason to believe it won't just be a normal series with a Tahu minifigure as one of the assorted figures? -
I wonder if the magazines would ever do like original characters with figbarf. Not like they have many characters to include in the the Batman magazines He's way more realistic than Man of steel, I've seen many snowmen, never a man who'd fly like a Bee-ird or a plane I'm probably a similar age but I spent so much time looking up those old things online growing up. Books and catalogues still would have them for a while into the 21st century

I'm aware, it was a joke. If someone was actually endorsing that I don't think I'd quip -
Yeah it's great, just a charming photo full of personality. Miss when LEGO would do this sorta thing in catalogs and such which maybe is why I love seeing it so much in fan work. And don't worry, Dummy forgives you (also yeah, it works better with one figure) Yeah, exactly on both front. NGL I personally do get annoyed at the mechs because we already used to get mechs in this price range with distinct builds but now any mech at this scale is the same build more or less but I do see their value, by having a slightly tweaked build it's easy to put out these annual waves with a bunch of different characters and if they do one that's of a character you like it's great. They're not designed to get all of them. Anyways, magazine is out so I don't think this counts as a leak, but we are gonna get one new character in 2026 DC, frozen man

I don't think this'll affect LEGO at all, they have had a good relationship with WB and Netflix, this'll be atrocious for cinema as an artform though -
Didn't realise they were all holding mugs, these are great photos, love the lot of them (though am biased to the first ofc) Exactly, Swordy's always great fun on here one of the funniest members and his photography is great. Haha, yeah you might have gotten more out of this set than anyone else has from one of these mechs before. Aslume is going to have been going two years strong soon so I imagine it'll last much longer

Isn't it viewable in the background in Luke's gaff somewhere in the film? This is besides the point but I think you can see the top of it somewhere in his home through a window or something. I remember noticing it as a kid. Wasn't that the same price as an X-Wing like 2 years ago? Mad *Gingerbread 501st legion clone troopers set -

This is the fun thing about living in the UK, so many minor, young actors were used in the original Star Wars that if you're at all connected to the filmmaking world you'll bump into one of them. I've got a family associate who's roommate came home confused about this Sci-Fi B movie they were doing in the 70s, turns out that person was playing Greedo. That's an actual fun idea, as someone who's fond of the 212th but doesn't care about army building I'd love a gingerbread version of them. They could have flamethrowers to roast chestnut Geonosians Why is Greedo the smart fig, if there's no Ham wouldn't OBi-Wan talking make more sense? What lights and sounds could he activate on his own? -
Yeah, that's a shame

Well with Smart bricks and the Mando focus this year's gonna lean to the OT, next year will too for the anniversary, I hope it's all OT stuff for the next five years then prequel fans will complain again that there's no representation, then once they've complained enough it's clone slop again for the next five years and the rest of the fans complain until the system resets and cycle continues on and on forever Gingerbread 501st Battlepack -

Right, this might be the best wave for this era of CIty too. So many great, colourful and unique designs, so much personality. Also, fun detail, the figure with the hidden disability lanyard is Chase McCain, which is sweet giving that to the theme's big hero. Sure that'll make some kids feel seen. Yeah, it's a funny little line, seems like they're using the Space baby mold which is interesting Haha, makes sense they'll need to bring back Chase McCain to catch the most vile member of the blackhole gang -

Not to be a doomer or anything but before investment bros and army builders became the most common punching bag for the community wasn't the main thing LEGO Star Wars fans were made fun off for was buying slightly different remakes the same sets 700 times? There's a real chance this clone thing lasts a while longer, this theme isn't really known for set diversity
