  1. @marvelBoy123 Thanks! I wanted a bit of Rishi architecture in there, and the rope-bridge seemed to be one of the most iconic parts of their culture.
  2. *Your entry has earned 3 XP* After our success on Scarif, I was sent to Rishi. Apparently the ground team there needed a miracle worker and my name came up - worse luck. Since I was nearby, I couldn't exactly refuse. And so began one of the worst missions of my career. It started out ominously. I was briefed that the natives had an artefact of great significance, which conferred the power of planetary dominion to its holder. So, if The Triumvirate wanted to rule the planet, all we had to do was acquire it. Trouble is, the Rishii had hidden the bloody thing, and would only give it to someone suitably worthy. Well anyway, I finally managed to get a meeting with the Rishii religious leader. And let me tell you something right off the bat; the Rishii are just about the most annoying beings I've ever had to deal with. The way they talk....! Both infuriating, and maddeningly confusing. No wonder the mission went so well. Anyway, after a while, I got the gist. There was a monster in the swamps. A "Maungur". Yada, yada, yada. I'd heard this story a million times before; go there, kill the Big Bad, profit. So, with some reluctance, I grabbed my rifle, and headed out into the swamps.
  3. I love the scene, but particularly how you hid the supplemental scene within it.
  4. @MKJoshA Thanks, we'll look into that!
  5. Really excited about this one. It actually matches the next stage in my character's journey, so I'm glad it came about when it did. Will we find out just what happened on Rishi? Wait and see! One thing I was interested in, though. Do you know when we're likely to get another holocron challenge? I don't think The Triumvirate has managed to win any yet and, as the most active faction, it seems a shame that we haven't had that chance yet.
  6. Are limited challenges 2xIP as well as 2xXP?
  7. Agreed. We're you deliberately channeling Vietnam war vibes?
  8. Ahhh, that's an awesome idea! But I've already changed the picture once, and I really don't want to have to change it again!
  9. Really like the rostrum. Wish we'd had a chance to see that crash. Would've look awesome.
  10. @Darth Bjorn Yep, there will be a new photo in response to your previous comments. The object through the window is the restored gate, above the surface of the planet. It is actually raised by a clear brick at the back, but I appreciate it may look like it's sitting on top of the island there...
  11. *Your entry has earned 4 XP* Just my luck; The Triumvirate decides to conquer an absolute paradise of a world, and I get stuck in space, trying to figure out how to make it harder to get to the surface - urgh. Scarif was a dream when I got to spend some time there on recce. Now that I was back with the fleet, I wasn't so lucky. Top brass wanted to resurrect the Planetary shield, and it seemed like a smart plan. Only trouble was, the old shield was in pieces on the planetary surface, and getting it up and running again was going to involve several different wings that did not play well together. So yours truly got the job of project managing the whole shebang from the comfort of a Star Destroyer bridge. Great fun!
  12. Didn't Blackbeard's flag have a heart on it?
  13. A really beautiful little fort. Love it.
  14. @Darth Bjorn Yep, I know what you mean. At some point I want to build a proper base for Gigor. At that stage, I'll give you all the consoles, antenna arrays, and other greebles you could ask for.
  15. Yep, this is correct. A great fig build, and a really nice MOC.
  16. @marvelBoy123 @Reaper Thanks guys. I didn't want to build a TIE Fighter from scratch, and I couldn't really re-use my Star Courier. I really love the Hamster Ball build, so this was a way to reuse those parts.
  17. There's so much going on in this build! Moving parts, lights, four different levels of details. There's something new from each different angle. My only criticism is that it's all happening on such a small area. It could be a bit more spread out. But really, that's kinda true to Scarif. There's not a lot of land there. You have to make the best with what you've got.
  18. *Your entry has earned 5 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* So, here's the thing about Gigor: I didn't love it. Not the planet - it's surprisingly pleasant for an ice world - but the location. And the job. By the stars it was a scuzzy job. Just before Endor, local administrators were trialling some experimental weapons on Gigor. When the bureaucracy gave out, support for the project ended. So, when the Triumvirate was sifting through the rubble of Scarif, looking for promising projects, this one caught their eye. It's common knowledge now, but back then, the idea of a tractor beam that could drag a ship out of hyperspace without shredding it to pieces was pure fantasy. You can imagine my suprise when they slapped the folder in my chest and put my backside on a shuttle. See, Gigor is on a route parallel to the Hydian Way. Means that anyone who wants to move around that (somewhat free-wheeling) corner of the galaxy, but wants to avoid the scrutiny of the major hyperspace lanes, will go past. And since we had the equivalent of a hyperspace dragnet set up, anyone we caught likely had something to hide. My job was to smooth the process and turn our hostages into negotiators. As diplomatically as possible. And that's how I paid for my mistakes on Rishi. I know I complain a lot about it. But the fact is, the hyperspace dragnet was in it's pilot phase - not the sort of project that a senior diplomat should have been wasting his time with. You could tell it was a pilot scheme because they hadn't even bothered to equip us with proper aerial support for the search and rescue. Instead we had some ugly X-Wing/TIE Fighter cross-breeds. Supposedly they would provide the outline of the old Rebel X-wings, with a cockpit that an academy-trained pilot would be familiar with. In reality, they were clunky old mules, with far too many guns, and not enough detection equipment. Hell, they couldn't even break atmo. Which was a problem, because sooner or later, something was bound to go wrong, and we would need to chase an escaping ship. And we couldn't. Told the planetary administrator about it. He wasn't interested. Told the research directorate. They noted it in my file. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise, that.
  19. @Keymonus Thanks! Hopefully it's a fitting conclusion to what has been a fun series exploring the GAS. Looking forward to seeing where your AMRCA takes you.
  20. I think this piece (along with the sax, and a guitar or two) are usually available from the Build A Minifig stations in Lego brand stores. Check them out.
  21. Honestly, I was joking. Everyone leaves their cases back in the dressing room. It's music stands and music that you need.
  22. Now you need to get violin cases for all of them.
  23. Eh? Wuzzat? I were just restin' me eyes. Swear. Whachu want, anyway? More 'bout Bogdan? Oh alright. Ale first, tho. So where were we? Oh yeah, summer of 575, there was Bogdan (the pretender, not the Tsar) standing with a sodding great army of Kalkreinians, Donovites, Orumans, Brakhask Cossacks, and even some Zhevrenai Delta Folk. An 'ee were headed into the heart of Coscovia. Course, those of yeh who know yer history will know that there weren't a battle that year. The Kingdom of the Great Raider put paid to that. In fact, they were such a big menace that the two armies never faced each other on a battlefield. In 577, when they finally met face to face, it was in the throne room of the Winter Palace, outside Nygrad (capitol of Coscovia). An what did they do? Bloody hacked each other to bits in a formal duel! See, this way, the two armies wouldn't knock each other silly only for the Great Raider to wipe out the rest. So, yeah, they tore chunks out of each other in the way of Ghaskin's Folk. From what I hear, Tsar Bogdan still walks with a limp today. Course, in the end, there could only be one. Prince Bogdan got the better of his namesake. Knocked 'im down an ran 'im through. Covered the corpse with 'is own cloak and had the body interred at the imperial mausoleum with full honours. An then 'ee set about rightin' a few wrongs. Took both armies on a big campaign against the Great Raider. Won back a lot of territories, and divvied them up accordin' to 'is own whims. In the end, not everyone was perfectly happy, but that's often the way of things, ain't it? Bogdan the Unstoppable's survived more'n one assassination attempt in 'is days. Even now, ee's still sat on that throne. Just you hope that 'ee stays there. Else the Great Raider might come a'knockin...
  24. Possibly a discussion for another place, but I reckon Canon François would regard the Triuri as a heretical modification of the three Aplynician Brothers, rather than a completely different religion. What your own oral traditions say, is completely up to you.
