  1. It's a great figbarf, but there's one small nitpick; you've got to fill in those horses' spines. They don't look right!
  2. Don't build Varcoast and Pontillia without getting me involved.
  3. I love this build. The style is very classy. You've made it your own. And the colour choices work so well. Good work!
  4. Is it ever, though? 1) Take a trip to Manchester. 2) Come back and show the proper appreciation.
  5. If you'd like me to put you in touch with any of the London AFOLs, let me know. Are you visiting anywhere else?
  6. In the aftermath of the Battle of Fort Arltrees, survivors from the Lotus Empire fled into the interior of El Oleonda. Defeated and dishonoured, many took their own lives, thereby salvaging their dignity. But some did not. Some survivors grouped together into mercenary companies and outlaw bands. The purists among the Lotii wouldn't dream of working with these fallen warriors. But the wisest believe they have their uses. Some of the scattered gangs have been conscripted as mercenaries by the Lotii; put into service securing suitable beachheads and safe routes through the interior. What happens to them in the long term remains to be seen. Here a gang boss is seen with her bodyguards, assassins, and peasant soldiers.
  7. An important note on the distinctions between "classic" Oleonaise naval uniforms. The "classic" Oleonaise uniform has changed significantly over the years. It was originally introduced last century as a way to standardise the navy, and reduce the risk of "friendly fire" in port. Here are our notes on the more widespread iterations, from left to right, with the year of introduction: 589 - The classic; gold braided, double-breasted blue jacket with red and white striped shirt and brown belt. 596 - A poorer relation; the single-breasted blue jacket with brown shirt and black belt. 609 - A significant improvement; once again the mainstay was the double-breasted and gold braided blue jacket. For the first time this uniform sported pleats at the tail. The only downside was a poor quality linen shirt, which tore easily. This was more than made up for by the introduction of a quality cross-belt. 609 - Another long-running success; while often seen armless, the full-sleeved single-breasted blue jacket is proper. While obviously a cheaper design than the other version introduced the same year, it stood the test of time where its counterpart failed. Many attribute this to the simple design, and return to the red and white striped shirt. 615 - Another instantly-recognisable member of the family. Once again a double-breasted gold braided blue jacket, this time in a high navy cut. And, once more, the beloved red and white striped shirt returned. This uniform had some flaws, particularly the bunching around the rear pleats and loose fit around the chest. Nonetheless, it had class. 620 - The swaggering prodigal child; A single-breasted gold-trimmed blue jacket. Quality tailoring was clearly visible, particularly along the rear seams. Furthermore, the old red and white shirt was referenced with a white silk shirt and brazen red sash. Both belt and cross-belt were in evidence. Many get hot under the collar thinking about this uniform. We can only hope that future designs reflect a return to more sober approaches.
  8. Actually, I think it is more from the far south of the continent, but it is the eastern coast, and we are encountering them as we sail east. Then again, I always seem to get my east and west mixed up in BoBS. FWIW, our Golden Horde equivalents are in the Far West.
  9. Just wanted to bump this because I haven't had a response yet. Is anyone able to help me out?
  10. Some beautiful lines on this ship, and so smoothly put together. I'm very impressed.
  11. I didn't fully register the brick-built saddle before. A really nice touch. Best attempt I've seen at one yet. I'd recommend using the LBG angled piece instead of the trans-clear one though. It would totally work as stirrups.
  12. Best bayou I've seen so far. Needs more alligators though...
  13. Love these guys. Particularly the one-man-army. Very Baden-Powell of you.
  14. A real nice build. I'm getting sttong Gringotts vibes, here.
  15. Thanks @Ayrlego! GMs, can I query where my 70 troops are? I think they were moved to Terraversa as part of that campaign, but I hadn't planned on them being anywhere else. Can I move them to Nola Mar, or do I need to arrange transport for that?
  16. I feel like this is the TV series this game/forum deserves:
  17. Beautiful, as always. A lovely concept, and expertly realised. Green with envy!
  18. I love this build. A great concept, and well-executed. Ideas like this really work for this game.
  19. The Mayor of Nola Mar, Chapter Master Helmut Von Braun, is willing to begin preparations.
  20. @NOD @blackdeathgr Thanks guys. I had to make these with just parts I got for Christmas. The fence was a rubbish version of one I'd done before. Not sure it worked, but I like the builds overall.
  21. Honestly, this is well deserved. An excellent start, and I hope it's the beginning of many adventures for the LBSF.
  22. Nice build. What happens on a rainy day?
  23. @Jeff of Clubs This one? Thanks! That's Achua behind his chief in the top photo. @evancelt Not quite, the Tyree'dee are the locals. They fought alongside Oleon and Carno against the Lotii:
