LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I did the same with Porkins but I don’t have the old Biggs Yes! They did a great job with the snowspeeder pilots in 2014-2017 but they just stopped and started giving them the X-wing pilot torsos and legs. At least we got the proper ones in Assault on Hoth and the UCS Snowspeeder and other sets around that time so we got a fair few of the correct ones before they stopped -

Good point, I do hope he has a unique face print. Also, hopefully it’s not too long before we am ARC Trooper version of Echo! But since he never made it to the Ohase 2 ARC Trooper armor, it would require a new helmet mold with the fin I know we’re in the minority but I actually agree with you. And since they discarded them, we need another Biggs with a regular helmet for consistency -

And to be clear, I don’t think the current clones are perfect. Cloth kamas would be better, more than one helmet mold would be better, holes for ones that use attachments, no holes for ones that don’t. And I would personally prefer fully live action versions instead of the hybrid. BUT I feel zero need to complain about it because they’re still great figures, in my opinion better than any other clones we’ve ever gotten, and I’m so grateful that we’re even getting all of these clone variations that the nitpicks just don’t bother me much. It’s just not worth the negativity -

I definitely agree about the passion of collecting and army building just not being what it used to be. Now it’s all about buying every army builder set to make a post and get likes and followers. It’s tiring. I enjoy buying multiple battle packs and building small armies from them but the scale that some are doing it on is just over the top for no reason. It’s like a contest to see which “influencer” can hoard the most absurd amount of battle packs so that I can never find one for my kids. And those same people will also do nothing but complain about the set. There’s no real passion for the product -

Because that’s just an opinion? Some of us don’t mind the printed waist capes and helmet holes as much as others. The clone treatment right now is better than it has ever been, no question. Look how much we’ve gotten, including named clones that we never thought we would see again or for the first time. They’re not going to please everyone. But there’s a vial group of crybabies led by king crybaby MandR that just HAVE to whine about something, no matter how good us fans are eating with this theme right now. Nothing is ever enough, and it’s exhausting to constantly see the crappy attitude that brings the fandom down. He exists to throw tantrums at this point, and his sheep followers do the same. -

That’s exactly what it is. They’re just anniversary bonus figures -

The fact that people are crapping on the Fives figure but praising Jedi Bob’s Starfighter and Venomized Millennium Falcon being a thing truly baffles me -

I actually think Fives looks pretty good. The printing on the top of the helmet is the only thing that’s iffy, but I understand that printing can only go so far on pieces like that. It’s also just funny to watch MandR cry about the dumbest things. -

I feel like the sail barge should be more of an MBS type set than actual UCS. Idk one way or another but seems like it should be something that is minifig centric. It’s not that exciting of a vehicle without the scene to recreate -

Yeah it’s definitely disappointing that they’re doing all this dumb gimmicky stuff when it’s an actual anniversary and TPM has so much that has never been done -

So you’re telling me the Venom Falcon is bigger than the Death Star playset? Why -

Venomized Millennium Falcon? Jedi Bob Starfighter? Gimmicky wing swapping x-wing and tie? Nah, pass. I am looking forward to the Death Star, Peridea, Sith Infiltrator (if it’s not ridiculously undersized), and Sarlacc sets though -

Yeah I also think the Hobbit sets were mostly pretty good fun sets. I don’t think they were bad, but I personally prioritized LOTR because I just like those films so much more. But I definitely would not agree that The Hobbit sets were bad -

Yeah the LOTR sets were definitely ahead of their time. But it’s time for upgrades! Yup, the lego community has a gift for finding dumb things to complain about -

Honestly those complaints all sound about as dumb as crying over helmet holes on clones -

I tend to agree with you here, and I also really believe that it would do better with kids than most people think. Part of that has to do with those fans that were younger at the time who now have kids that are growing up around LOTR. And that’s not a small number. My son is turning 4 in February and is asking for a LOTR themed party. It certainly wouldn’t do as well as Harry Potter or Star Wars. But I have no doubt it would perform extraordinarily well -

No one is counting on it. But it’s definitely what I’m hoping will happen. It deserves a full blown theme -

Honestly I think that’s what they should do. Several playsets that can be combined, but each including enough iconic locations and figures and creatures to have individual value -

I’m just repeating what the people who posted the survey leak said, which was that it was around $400 -

I mean there are nine of them. Maybe one here with a normal hooded Ringwraith, and one later on down the line in a Minas Tirith set with a helmed Witch-King? I’d be fine with a repeat of a Fell Beast. It’s unfortunate that we missed the era of molded creatures though. The molded one from the video game was amazing. Now it’ll be brick built and probably look like crap with cloth wings that only look good from the top -

What would people think about a Fell Beast being included? The survey price was $400, and that jumped up to $460 for release, which could mean just about anything, but what if something has been added? A Fell Beast would highly increase the desirability of the set
