I just can’t imagine spending close to $500 on a Hogwarts Express. Especially knowing a big chunk of that will only be because it’s motorized. Obviously I have to see the set first, but it sounds like this might be the first Potter D2C I’ll skip. A $250 Hogwarts Express D2C sounds about right. But almost $500? Absolutely not On the other hand, since I don’t think I’ve commented on it here yet, the main wave is great! Hogwarts builds are terrible as usual these days but the wave overall is really good, especially Grimmauld Place and the Ministry. And finally the Shrieking Shack!

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

I love the diorama sets, I think they look great! The builds all look really good and the minfigs are really nice, especially R2 and 3PO. That being said, the prices are horrendous.

Haven’t said it yet, but I absolutely love all the Dominion sets! Really glad we’re getting different (and accurate) versions of Owen, even if they are exclusive to the 4+ sets. I love the three legacy trio minfigs and I love all the dinosaurs. Getting Therizinosaurus and Giganotosaurus in the same set is a treat and I’m really glad that rumor was true. They both look fantastic! Not perfect, but for splitting the set budget between them I think they’re great. Really frustrated by the lack of a Dodgson minfig though

It’s so frustrating how LOTR was handled. I think the Hobbit sets were great but they did too many too soon when they should have focused more heavily on LOTR for a few years and let people grow to like the Hobbit characters more by the time they release more sets for it. I still hold out hope they’ll come back to a Middle Earth theme someday. But the hope is dwindling.

We’re getting Indy anyway I found all the March HP sets early at Walmart, bought them all, and now I’m building. Currently building the Hospital wing and my goodness this new Modular Hogwarts system is the most boring, monotonous, tedious, repetitive building style. It’s so bad. What a dull build. I had forgotten from last year’s sets how bad these builds are

And then they can go back to LOTR

Seems like too much considering it’s a completely separate scene. The mystery aspect of it didn’t work out so well last time so I wouldn’t be surprised if they just didn’t do it again.

It would be extremely repetitive for sure. The build would not be very fun, but the final product would be pretty neat. Like I said, I’d be ok with a $150-$200 Quidditch Pitch once they give us the D2C sets we’ve actually been asking for Part of me hopes they’re using this Horntail set for redemption from the last one, and that maybe it’s removable from the stand and has a molded head and everything lol but I’ll keep dreaming. It’s also interesting that it seems to be $10 more expensive than Hedwig and Fawkes

Actually since you mention it, I could see the hairpiece just being from something like Stuntz. Hopefully it’s for Tonks though

I agree that a $470 Quidditch Pitch would be laughable and a slap in the face. I could get behind a $150-$200 Quidditch Pitch ONLY AFTER they finally give us the Gringotts D2C we’ve been asking for. On another note I picked up Hogwarts Icons the other day and built it over the weekend and I had a blast doing it. Really fun build and the final display looks great! Didn’t ask for this set but I really do like it

I think it’s more likely that since people on here argued so much with leakers last year and gave them a lot of crap even though they were right, they’re less inclined to share (warnings or otherwise) this time around. I’m sure they have some idea of what it might be

Nah I think it’s complete trash, but I am genuinely glad you like it. To me it just looks like a bird with stubby fat legs and dragon wings. I modified the crap out of mine but I can’t do anything about the bird head mold Makes sense if the set is based on OotP. Although it’s not the exact same black outfit she wears in HBP and DH, and I would definitely prefer the latter version. But I’ll take any minifig variants I can get my hands on!

It would be cool if there’s a bit of Snape’s office attached to recreate Occlumency lessons since they clearly aren’t going for accuracy with Hogwarts builds anyway

The god of lego? Not sure who you’re referring to All in all these sets sound pretty good. I do think there is some confusion with the information and some minifigures are misidentified because some just don’t make sense. But that’s ok, sometimes it’s hard to figure out what you’re looking at with this sort of thing. We’ve got a decent idea of what to expect and I’m pretty happy with the news. The theme isn’t what it was from 2018 to 2020 but the figures are still great and the non-Hogwarts builds are still mostly great. Overall I’m pretty excited to see these sets

These sets have potential but some of the minfig choices are very strange. I think it’s a huge mistake the make the Ministry set centered around Harry’s hearing rather than the final battle. I mean really? The Lucius figure had better be the battle version that’s all I’m saying

I’m definitely getting multiples of that Darktrooper set. That Luke is amazing and of course you can’t have too many Darktroopers. What an amazing set, I’m so happy they made this

I really love that we’re getting Phase One minfigs. I hope that trend continues. That torso is beautiful. The face should have been different but I’ll just swap it out. The set itself doesn’t do much for me. It’s a neat build that I may pick up at a discount or something. But either way, I definitely need that figure

I sincerely hope not. There’s no accuracy whatsoever with these sets. I adored the accuracy of the 2018-2020 sets. Interiors were easy enough to modify. I’d much rather have accurate exteriors. The exteriors on these new sets are puke worthy

I agree it doesn’t seem like they’ll go back to the old style. But I would have loved several more sets to round out the films in that style. Bell Towers, Long Gallery, Owlery, Boathouse, Courtyard, the Bridge, rest of the Quad, etc. there’s so much more they could have done to make a much more complete Hogwarts. And these are all still very recognizable parts of the castle with plenty of minifig and scene recreation opportunities. I don’t understand when people say there’s not much more they could have done in that style. Like, have you seen the movies?
