I think the set actually looks beautiful. I would much rather get locations with minifigures since for me, that’s what I want from this theme. But this set, although timed badly in my opinion, and not what I would say the majority of us wanted this year, looks really good from the perspective of any hardcore HP fan, and will probably eventually make it into my collection

Vision looks great except it’s really annoying that his eyes and the stone aren’t blue. Kinda throws it off a lot

Yeah, we’re grown adults…MandR is not, he’s a bratty spoiled kid with serious issues and way too much influence on similar-minded people. You realize the actual “attacks” as you say, the real unacceptable anger, is coming from his fans who are calling for a lego designer to be fired because they didn’t get what they want. Who crap on a gorgeous set just because it doesn’t have the minfigures they wanted, as if they wouldn’t have given the same outcry if the figures they wanted were exclusive to a $350 set they never actually planned on getting to begin with 🙄. I’ll be buying the set on day one, and I will enjoy it immensely as the large display model that it is supposed to be, instead of listening to nay sayers and spiteful brats like MandR. And I’m sorry but if someone’s entire basis for buying a UCS set is the minfigures, the disappointment is entirely their fault.

I think it’s gorgeous too, and I do hope to see a new system scale Gunship and AT-TE soon, it’s definitely time

How did some people expect a UCS Gunship to be relatively the same size as the previous system scale version? “ItS nOt MiNiFiG sCaLe” like what? Are you serious? The last one was very close to minfig scale. this set, as a UCS set, could not be minfig scale, it just wouldn’t work and it wouldn’t be big enough or detailed enough to be UCS. Am I in full support of another system scale version soon? Absolutely! But this set had to be something else entirely, and quite frankly it’s astounding that people don’t understand that

Missing the middle section? Have you seen AOTC? It’s not missing anything. This is the in-universe design of the ship. TCW introduces other versions that look slightly different, but this version is the iconic film version (and honestly my favorite version) of the Gunship and is not missing anything The Jedi Starfighter being terrible is just your opinion. It’s actually a very nice and accurately detailed model. If by “terrible” you mean it doesn’t have any figures then I don’t know what to tell you. I feel like a broken record but UCS isn’t about the figures at all. The Starfighter is actually a beautiful set. Also, in no universe does MandR deserve to do the reveal of any set

I disagree. I think it’s the perfect choice, being arguably the most iconic prequel ship design there is. I still think you’re missing the point about the figures too, it doesn’t need troops to transport because it’s UCS and exists purely as a large display model, which brings me to my next point: the size. How is this oversized? It’s UCS…being massive is the point, especially for a ship that is a lot bigger in universe than an X-Wing or Y-Wing. Why would it need to be smaller? For a ship of its size, I think the scale is perfect and captures exactly the right amount of detail, which wouldn’t have happened if it was smaller

Honestly the price is perfect. This would not have worked as a smaller $200 UCS set, you wouldn’t be able to have as much detail. I think it’s the perfect middle ground for a UCS

So let me get this straight…you voted on a UCS set strictly for the figures and now won’t get it because of a torso? Personally, I voted for the Gunship because it’s an amazing design and I’m more than happy with the set, it’s beautiful, accurate, and massive, which is what UCS is all about. Anyone who just wants to whine about the minifigures shouldn’t have been voting on a UCS set in the first place. And let’s be honest, those people were never going to buy a $350 set for a couple of figures anyway, they just want to complain for the sake of it

A LEGO Marvel related forum should have nothing to do with spoilers. THAT seems pretty simple to me. And closing the thread down during big movie releases only became a necessity when people decided to be childish and selfish and discuss the movies themselves on a Lego forum right when they released. Obviously nobody has learned and so I think it is definitely still necessary

The Beskar Forge looks really nice, still can’t believe they actually made it. Paz Vizla and the Armorer are incredible figures

Thor’s house looks really good, I love the style they went with for this set. I don’t love Korg, he needs leg printing and I honestly would have vastly preferred his fighting clothes even though the Hawaiian shirt is accurate to this scene. I like that variant of him but I would like it more if they had given us gladiator Korg first. But overall it’s a great little set that I will definitely pick up

It’s not dramatic at all. This thread is about more than just the latest episode of Marvel media. We come here for all things lego Marvel 2021. I work all day and can’t watch the latest episode until I get home and get the kids to bed. There’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to check this thread and discuss lego Marvel without seeing anything about the latest episode. It’s not rocket science. And yet the same handful of people seem to think it is. I’ll never understand the selfishness of feeling the need to post about the newest episode right away and just telling people to deal with it

Was never gonna happen though. The set is based on Attack Of The Clones (as it should be, considering it’s when the ship was introduced and it’s the film the Gunship is most iconic to). Cody wouldn’t have made sense in the set, he would be a better choice for a set later down the line. For me, the ideal minifigures to include in the Gunship would simply be two Phase 1 clone pilots with a new helmet mold. But I’m buying the set for the ship, not the figures, so even if the figures are disappointing, it won’t detract from the set at all for me.
