    I tried yesterday and the guy had no idea what I was talking about. That’s how much of a joke this is. Oh well. I definitely did not buy the MF for those possible perks, I bought it because it’s the most beautiful Lego set in existence and I couldn’t not have it

    Well, at my Lego store at least, they ended up giving out the Y-Wing blueprints to everyone who bought a Y-Wing, even if they weren’t black card holders, so that wasn’t really a perk for any black card holders near me

    I’m wondering this too. I think if there’s a winter wave it will be smaller than the summer wave as winter waves typically are. But then there should be another big summer/fall wave. And I think this theme has at least three years in it

    Believe me, I would love a detailed Gryffindor Common Room, I just personally think it’s unlikely and I don’t want anyone to get their hopes too high. Actually, I think a Gryffindor Common Room would make a great $15-$20 set by itself, but there’s no way Lego would go for it

    What’s not to understand? Think about it. Doubling up on that stuff isn’t lego’s style. I wouldn’t mind a detailed common room either but I doubt it will happen. All of the Hogwarts sections will connect so why would they put a common room in some other random place after they already put the dormitories in the Whomping Willow set? It’s just highly unlikely. Does that make sense to anybody? What are people’s thoughts? Fortunately, a Gryffindor Common Room would be very easy to MOC

    I thought the return of Obi’s Jedi starfighter was a sure sign that we would soon get Jango’s Slave I but that hasn’t happened yet. I really want it to though, it’s very underrepresented in Lego

    They put the Gryffindor dormitories in the Whomping Willow set so that’s probably as close as we’ll get to a Gryffindor Common room

    Whatever ends up happening with this set, I think we can all agree that it is a very strange set and is surrounded by seemingly strange circumstances. While Orr of the mystery was solved, now this brings up brand new ones. Hopefully Lego tells us soon, I’m very interested to know about this set

    There’s an image on Instagram Look at it this way though. If they had advertised it in the September calendar, they wouldn’t have had any success with the early VIP release because everyone would have just waited. So it’s possible that it was just an economical move

    Honestly, a Harry Potter Architecture style series would be cool if and only if they went alongside the system sets and didn’t replace them

    Me neither, it’s so iconic. Although part of me hopes they save a system scale Gringotts for a Deathly Hallows set Sith the dragon. Unless they just included the dragon in a Diagon Alley set that encompassed all the films. That would be ideal

    Brilliant I’ll admit I was wrong by saying Diagon Alley wouldn’t work in microscale at any level, it does work for a promo set like this. But the actual Diagon Alley set if we get one down the road will not be microscale. I think we all know that’s what we were talking about.

    Haha yeah I know I’m just giving Lego a hard time for not actually giving us any Star Wars perks with the black card

    Exactly why I held off as well, I’m hoping to get Hogwarts Castle and Cloud City at the same time for double points

    Cloud City should be discounted for black card holders as penance for not giving us any perks at all for that like they said they would. I would be all over that

    This should be available for black card holders lol I know it would piss people off but come on there have been no perks whatsoever for that, except for the Y-Wing blueprint which they ended up handing out to everyone anyway. But I know it’s supposed to be only for Star Wars. Oh well. I suspect there will be very few of these available

    I haven’t bought the D2C yet so I’ll be good but I do agree because most hardcore fans have bought everything already, and a lot of people will be upset. But I have a feeling that’s what it will be

    This doesn’t mean we won’t get a full sized Diagon Alley set in the future. It’s just a promo set so it really doesn’t mean anything at all

    Now I’m wondering if it’ll end up being a September GWP for buying the Hogwarts Castle set and just wasn’t available during the early VIP release. If that’s true, I’m glad I haven’t gotten it yet

    Yeah I just saw that on IG. Any idea what the circumstances surrounding it are? And in case anyone is wondering, yes, this is the exact set that was on display in the background of the Hogwarts Castle designer video. So no D2C microscale Diagon Alley, it seems to be a small promotional set If Diagon Alley ends up being super hard to get, I’ll just order Ollivander on eBay
