Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I don’t think so -
The lack of Expecto Patronum is extremely worrying

The only problem I foresee with that is if you take out three of the most iconic buildings to use as separate sets (Borgin and Burke [which I know is on Knockturn Alley, but we may as well include it since it was in the last one], Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, and Gringotts, then will the set appeal to enough people to sell well enough to release? The o my truly iconic shop left would be Ollivander’s. Obviously those of us who are hard core fans wouldn’t mind and would still buy it, but it may not really appeal to many others if you remove the more iconic buildings. -

Trust me, barely anyone in the US can get it either -
You’re probably right about that

Yeah this is a bad one to miss, I’m super bummed about this. I don’t get SDCC exclusives, I think it’s the most ridiculous system -

I hate these Comic Con exclusives. So much. Is this real? -
I definitely don’t see this theme going anywhere anytime soon. The whole “limited availability” thing must be nothing because the calendar proves that this theme has serious future potential and probably has a long life. It’s the only licensed theme other than Star Wars to get an advent calendar. That is very significant.

Personally, I’d like to see a D2C that includes Gringotts, Ollivanders, Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, Flourish and Blotts, and The Leaky Cauldron. And then I’d like Borgin and Burke to be a separate set on its own, depicting the scene from HBP. -

I don’t think marvel sets have the same type of outcry that Harry Potter sets have, the level of demand is very different, I think HP has a much broader audience to sell to. Never say never but I doubt we will ever see super heroes advent calendars. Hope I’m wrong. -

True but it would be nice to get the room of hidden things eventually. Getting both vanishing cabinets would be nice if they ever made Borgin and Burke as well -
Agreed, and they could also do variants from Slughorn’s party, I would really like that as well

They wouldn’t have to depict the death necessarily but I know what you mean. Either way, I just want the Astronomy Tower, no matter which movie it’s representing I know the 2019 sets haven’t even released yet here in the US, but I’m already extremely excited to hear what next year’s sets will be. It’ll be a very exciting leaking time -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

While this D2C isn’t what I wanted for a big JP set and, I believe, a wasted opportunity, it still is a cool set. I have trouble paying $250 for it, but if somehow I find it at a discount (which isn't likely) then I may have to pick it up simply because it’s a set that I can see myself regretting not getting 5-7 years from now. Hopefully we will get more JP sets in the future that include more Dino molds and iconic scenes and vehicles. To me this is a good set but not a good Jurassic Park set. I’m kind of torn. I may end up caving at some point but we’ll see. And what they said makes perfect sense, when you’re going off the same source material there will be overlaps. Plus, didn’t they say this was in the works since before that Ideas set? Or did I read incorrectly? I believe the T-Rex was going to be a Creator set but the JP team took it since it wasn’t being used and modified it to be from JP -

They haven’t made the Astronomy Tower yet. Are you talking about the Clocktower? And yes, I’m sure there will plenty more Hogwarts extensions besides the three they’ve done, the Astronomy Tower is a good candidate for next year to coincide with sets from HBP to recreate Dumbledore’s death scene -
I agree, missing Yule Ball variants would be perfect for these calendars. Doing maybe one or two new Yule Ball variants per year in the calendar would be a great way of keeping us all interested. It’s definitely a lot more enticing than a character dressed up as Santa for no reason

I don’t know where you’re living, but I don’t get any discounts like that anywhere near me. The best discount I could hope for is 15% and NEVER on D2C sets. And no disrespect intended, but I think my previous comment was perfectly clear, the discussion in general is about this set and price being a factor in not getting it. -

Walmart usually has a 15% discount on some lego products but they don’t sell D2C sets. Also amazon doesn’t discount D2C sets. Target sells them online but they don’t do any discounts, same with Barnes and Noble -

I think the Flitwick hairpiece in blonde would work -

You don’t find those kinds of discounts in the US very often. I think LEGO has always been overpriced but I’m used to it. Their cost hasn’t changed that drastically which is nice and a lot of the prices are still predictable based on piece count and size so it’s not not too hard to budget for it For me this just isn’t interesting enough to spend $250 on. If it had been a big Jurassic Park setup with different enclosures and different Dino molds (brachiosaurus) then it would be worth the money but this just isn’t. I’m not even sure I would have payed this for a Visitors Center if it didn’t have any new Dinos -

Those vehicle complaints are for sets like the Endgame Compound set with a random car and helicopter that don’t appear in the film and are just pointless filler. The vehicles in JP are iconic. There’s a massive difference. -

Draco should come with a new ferret mold They wouldn’t do Stan because he wasn’t there in the movie (or at least they never mentioned him being involved with the Death Eaters) and the sets are based on the movies. It would likely be a generic death eater -
There are a lot more exclusive figures in this set than any Star Wars calendar so I really complain about the lack of skirt piece for McGonnogall. They should have used one for her from the beginning but oh well. I didn’t even think about getting the SS/COS Flitwick until people started mentioning it for this set, and I like the later version much better so I don’t really mind it being the later version again. Variants are always welcome. I love the trio and the Architect. I honestly don’t care about any of the builds, I’m getting this for the figures. I do love that Hogwarts letter tile though
-
If only the Lord Of The Rings theme had this much support...but I digress
-
Not disappointed with Flitwick so much as McGonnogall, I was really hoping for a skirt piece. Although that Flitwick does feel kind of useless as a variant. It’s all good though, there’s still a lot of great stuff in this calendar and I’ll be buying it right away (and opening it all at once of course).
