  1. Is it just me, or does it seem like the Ninja are wearing different outfits in the dungeon and the mech? In the dungeon, they seem to be wearing more traditional Ninja garbs. However, they seem to be wearing helmets and suits of armor.
  2. The sad thing is Hidden Side had potential to be something special, and Lego is replacing it with the repetitive sounding, anime-inspired Monkey Kid. Let's hope the castle will be the best set of them all.
  3. I know Crominus was alive at the end of the show, Its just the show began with his supposed death (despite him resurfacing in season 2) with the last Chima set released containing him. Lady E appeared in the first Hidden Side short and an image of herself in the High School. So considering the appearance of the castle in the last wave and Lady E getting a figure, it unfortunately seems like Hidden Side is at its end.
  4. Unfortunately, I feel like that could be a good excuse for the theme to end with that set as the final climactic battle. Since we knew of Lady E since wave 1, you could say the sets ended with a detail from the beginning (examples include Ninjago's "final" set ending up to be where the Golden Weapons were foraged, or how Chima's last set had Crominus who became missing during the first episode of the show.)
  5. I wonder what these villains will be called. It actually makes me wonder if Ninjago is somehow connected with Castle 2007. However, what ever happened to Clouse and the skullkin? Ninjago doesn't have that many loose ends, and I feel like the Underworld could've been modified after Clouse took over. Ether way, I hope they do more with this world then just a DnD parody.
  6. I disagree. There are too many sets (small as they may be) for a practice run. Also, why would they make an entire AR app for a run-off theme?
  7. What?! This wave sounds promising! Lego has never dived in this kind of fantasy before. While I am partially disappointed that the skullkin won't be coming back, it seems very similar to the 2011 waves. I do find it odd how there are rumors of the chapter format continuing and we got a Sci-fi video game before this.
  8. The trademark and the series 19 Monkey King do support this being the Leaf theme. I personally thought Leaf was some alien Viking theme. Now, Lego has given us another anime- inspired lineup of sets. The fact that such a similar line to Ninjago is replacing Hidden Side is disappointing to say the least. Hopefully, we will recieve more playsets!
  9. I find it ironic how 2020 Ninjago began with the new, futuristic, video game setting and the summer will continue with a mythical, ancient board game aesthetic with villains that sound like the 2011 skullkin mixed with castle. The only problem I have is: how do we get there? If the winter wave is in the video game Prime Empire based on a Ninjago version of space panic, I could see this new wave starting when the Ninja get sucked into a different game based on this new wave (which I guess is a combination of Ghosts and Goblins and The Legend of Zelda.) But if the rumor about the board game is true, why do it right after the arcade wave? If this isn't a DND parody, season 13 will ether take place in the Underworld, or a new relm. We still need proper season 12 episodes though.
  10. That or the abandoned prison. I just hope they aren't a part of the same building and the prison's more 1930's.
  11. I'm glad so many of Leaf's sets are affordable! By now, I'm convinced it will probably replace Hidden Side as some sort of "big bang" theme.
  12. I personally find it odd how one of the sets is a race car considering the dragster. Due to the fact there were originally four sets, they must be selling the dragster as a proper set outside of North America. I'm personally most excited about the abandoned prison and castle of mystery. Hopefully it's better than wave 2.
  13. That's probably the case. The third wave will only have 4 sets. Ether TLG to plans to replace with "Leaf" early due to mixed sales, or these sets were somewhat harder to produce for some reason. My theory is that this next wave will take place in the Hidden Side itself. While Lego does like to focus on the app aspect of the theme, that part of the theme will probably become obsolete along with the transforming functions. This makes me wonder if Lego spent a wealthy amount of money creating a new system with the ghost minifigures to fly around. While this is all speculation, it seems plausible if the third wave does take place in the Hidden Side.
  14. Have any of you seen the image of the medium azure big fig. with the orange beard and white pants? The post claims its for Hidden Side, but it looks like it's from a new line. I'm getting Systar Starship vibes from it. I know Lego has stopped with their partnership with Warner Bros, so I doubt Sweet Mayhem is getting her own line. Perhaps "Leaf" is a Sci-fi, fantasy theme similar to the genre of old Bionicle and Ninjago.
  15. I don't think that's a good terms to describe it since it seems most of the town ended up there. Ether way, it seems pretty much confirmed that's where the next wave will take place. We will probably see medium assure and black disorted sets based on regular vehicles and buildings. I doubt there will be any Hidden functions, and the app will become more obsolete. Does anyone know where any rumors or potential leaks for wave 3 can be found?
  16. I personally think Leaf isn't a construction line. It seems after the death of Bionicle g1, most Lego action figures declined in sales. Bionicle g2 and Star Wars CCBS sold so badly, Lego might never make another "real" figure until 2026 at the earliest. Leaf could be a minidoll line, but there hasn't been that much evidence. The only idea I have is the replacement of Hidden Side. Remember, Hidden Side barely has any books, games, or even a real television show. One of the sets comes with the ar final boss of the series, and the sets don't sell well in my area. This is reason for me to believe that Hidden Side was just a tease for something greater... As for Zebra, I think it is a Resurrection of Mindstorms or a rebranding of Boost. The art set is a robot that can paint, the music robot can perform music, and the Marvel set will be robots that look like superheros. I am confused about the adult white and the adult green ones though.
  17. Does anyone know when the 2020 animations will release outside of Hong Kong? I tried to watch the first two episodes, but both were unavailable in my country.
  18. How do you know this is what happened? Was their a comic from LEGO magazine that exclaimed this,or is this just a theory?
  19. I personally think Hidden Side might end in 2020. Hidden Side was experimental with its focus on the ar app as appose to a show or the sets itself. In most isles I went into to find wave 1 Hidden Side sets, tons of the smaller sets were stacked on shelves untouched, while the train and school were mostly gone. Considering the sets didn't do well, the app is probably flopped as well. Also, the small animated series based on the theme seems to have been focused on highlighting sets and getting to the climax as close as possible rather than creating an interesting story with unique characters, interesting concepts, and any actual structure. These two factors combined makes me wonder if this was practice for leaf rather than a real "blockbuster theme." My theory for the story is that Jack and Parker somehow go to the subway station. Suddenly, the wave 2 boss ghosts bring their artifacts to the station while the heroes realize the tunnel of the station is where the ghosts come from. They tell JB, and Lady E returns, crossing Hidden Side elements into Newbury. What might happen could be that both Jack and Parker go into the Hidden Side and find all the ghosts (this would be where the next wave would take place.) Jack and Parker learns of a greater evil controlling the strings, destroy it before we learn anything else, and come back home where the animations and haunting end.
  20. What do you exactly mean? Who told you it was going to be released late tonight? I'm excited though!
  21. I agree. Where I live, the Monday after Black Friday is Cyber Monday. My guess is that the new modular would be revealed the Tuesday after Black Monday at the earliest. It just feels like the Modular Buildings are starting to become the most confidential sets in Lego's inventory. As for the new modular being a Bookstore, it seems plausible, but I have my doubts. While I'd personally love to get a bookstore, it doesn't seem to go with the new theming of the Modular Buildings. Lego is making Modular Buildings based on iconic American businesses from the 1950's. A Bookstore seems out of place either the DD and CG. The only idea I have is that Lego made a newspaper building with comic books as the main business. If they did create a real Bookstore, I feel they would use curvier building techniques and bright colors like Coral or light azure.
  22. That is great news! Did you check a retailer catalog or did a Lego store employee tell you?
  23. Hero Knights seems like the combination between Legends of Chima and Nexo Knights. Who knew TLG always had these ideas.
  24. I have made a supersizing discovery. If you look closely on the top of El Fuego's Stunt Plane, it says the boss ghost is a pilot named Harry Cane! For those who don't know, Harry Cane was a friend of Lego legend, Johnny Thunder. However, his last appearance was in the Amazon sub theme when he mysteriously disappeared. My theory is that he was accidentally marooned in the Jungle until he died insane. This appearance also makes me wonder if other classic characters will come back with this theme. If only they were real in the sets ...
  25. This actually might be true. The sets in wave one had details that made them look older. Cracks, rust, and even architectural ware was everywhere on the sets. They looked realistic, like a forgotten city past its prime. Wave 2's sets look more modern and clean, with many of the details that made wave 1 special absent. Most of the vehicles feel less realistic, and a lot of the gloombee prints seem more specialized (the clown faces, goggled jet packer, and oil - drenched mechanic.) The only set that fully fits in is the subway station. While cluttered, it seems like an unreleased set from wave one. Someone wanted to use this style on more sets, and wave 1 was created.
