  1. Stranger things have happened.
  2. Minidoll Flash! I'll want to get the Eclipso Dark Palace for a new Invisible Jet even though I already have Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas. I seem to have ended up on a Wonder Woman completionist streak... I can harley wait to find out what 41236 is!
  3. That's supposed to be one of the summer sets... someone must have goofed and accidentally uploaded the wrong product description, seeing as it's months early and on the wrong theme page.
  4. Well, don't rule it out - I have no way of knowing if what I've seen is more or less up-to-date than what you have. Stay tuned, everyone!
  5. So is repeatedly checking this thread for actual updates about the sets only to find a bunch of posts that have nothing to do with them.
  6. That seems likely, based on what a little birdy told me about the Easter set.
  7. 2017 may well be your year then.
  8. "Oh, how sweet! Chocolates, and wine, and a teddy bear, and, umm... a... pineapple. Really, dear, you shouldn't have."
  9. He got sand on them. He's in the desert.
  10. Lately a lot of promotional sets/minifigs that tie into a particular set have been offered a few months after that set's release, so I wouldn't be surprised to see something turn up later in the year, much like the Fountain did.
  11. If it is what I think it is, I hope everyone's paid up on their Old Glory Insurance policy.
  12. 21005 Fallingwater was the set that brought me out of my dark ages, but I got a discount on it through the Wright Foundation so it came to less than $100. So I think 21010 Robie House would have been the first time I actually paid over $100. Neither one was much of a hard sell - they're Frank Lloyd Wright LEGO sets! Of course I'm going to get them! - so it was just a matter of taking the time to save up for them.
  13. So in other words, instead of a new theme with "rehashed vehicles," you'd rather have a complete rehash of a theme that's been done multiple times before.
  14. Not with that one, but there will be other books that will include minifigs.
  15. Speaking of upcoming books with useful pictures, The LEGO Batman Movie: The Essential Guide will be available December 27th from DK. It will probably have pictures of the summer wave; I remember the The LEGO Movie: The Essential Guide was the first official look at those summer sets.
  16. There isn't a landmark building like 10253 every year; they only come along every three years or so. But to answer your question more generally, no, and they wouldn't be in the City forum if there were.
  17. Haven't found the prices anywhere yet. The pictures were on Brickset (seems they've been there for a couple weeks now; I just hadn't bothered to look), but no further details. I definitely agree with you on the color assortment, by the way. It's nice to see that it's even used as a selling point in the official product descriptions - they all mention exactly how many different colors you get, something I don't remember ever being pointed out in the older "Bricks & More" assortments.
  18. Interesting. That seems like the sort of thing that would be a giveaway at theaters, like the Western Emmet or Radio DJ Robot, but those all had 500xxxx product numbers. The 30xxx number for this one makes me think it might be available in stores instead.
  19. I'm guessing because Marvel's summer sets are based on movies yet to be released.
  20. They don't glow in the dark exactly, but a few translucent colors are fluorescent, so they'll glow under a blacklight. Check out this blog post for a detailed look.
  21. Mostly I just buy stuff I like, I guess. I plan to one day have a decent-sized city layout, so any (minifig-scale) set I buy tends to be something I figure I can add to that. That's a pretty broad criterion, since I'm not really concerned with realism - my city will have plenty of superheroes and time travelers and dinosaurs hanging around - or the difference between minifigs and minidolls, so plenty of themes are fair game. I don't aim for a complete collection of any given theme or anything, since that way madness lies. I very rarely buy individual parts or minifigs; mostly I trade among friends if there's something specific I'm after.
  22. Based on the info from Delta, I assumed I would pass on the smaller set, but after seeing the Avengers-masked robbers in the trailer, I might end up wanting it after all. Seems like it could be a fun twist on the "superhero vs. generic bad guys" faceoff. Since it comes with two robbers, I hope they have double-sided face prints with a different Avenger mask on each side so that you could make all four of them if you got two sets.
  23. So, there will only be one Batman series in 2017, is what you're really saying.
