Oh I hadn't realized that the mansion was a "reunion" set with all of the original roster! That's really cool.

With lots of new 2024 sets being revealed recently, a quick roundup of some of the disability representation I've noticed: an athlete in CMF series 25 with two of the modern prosthetic legs another CMF features a more modern eyepatch a new dual-molded hairpiece with cochlear implant, seen in both City and Friends sets while not directly related, a new dog wearing a vest in City police and fire station sets, which could likely be used later as a service dog given a different print a character in the Heartlake City Shopping Mall has a prosthetic leg; I haven't kept up well with Friends so I'm not sure whether this is a new piece I'm sure there are more! What else have people spotted?

Failing to cater to your specific interests is not the same thing as being terrible at revealing things. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

You're gonna hate this take, but... I feel like the cross-branding just makes explicit something that several people here have argued for years now: maybe we don't need a standalone Space theme because the DNA of LEGO Space lives on in so many other themes. Even Friends is getting in on the action, so perhaps... perhaps the real Space theme... is the Friends we made along the way. I'll see myself out. -
That was my first thought when I saw the new color too! I remember reading about a special red-orange color that was only available for LEGOLAND model builders because they needed it specifically for the Golden Gate Bridge model in Miniland. I think a model in the Icons range, similar in scale to Tower Bridge, would be the best option.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
tafkatb replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
This one looks nice but it's not for me. I think Warm Tan could have been a really good color for this style of building, though apparently that's still restricted to skin tones. I'm still looking forward to seeing more detailed pictures because I always love poring over those regardless of whether I actually want the set. -

Everyone is confused about why Wong is included, so here's my new crack theory: you know how the tower was sold in Spider-Man: Homecoming but we never found out who bought it? And there's all this speculation about if it's Reed Richards, or Norman Osborn, or Dr. Doom, or Wilson Fisk, or Mr. Gryphon, or or or... It's Wong. Wong bought the tower. And he used almost his entire life savings to do it, which is why he only had 200 rupees left at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. -
I don't think that accusation holds any water. Almost none of the modular buildings I've seen on Ideas are ever truly original ideas. Frequently well-executed, yes, but "Modular Museum" or "Modular Police Station" or "Modular [insert any building type that is prevalent in pretty much any city]" isn't going to make LEGO designers suddenly say

I interpret Wasp's inclusion as a nod to her role as a founding Avenger in the comics. (Granted, that was Janet and not Hope, but I still think it makes a certain amount of sense.) -
As far as I know there aren't any canonically Autistic characters - a few that seem like they could be, but nothing confirmed. (Admittedly, I don't keep up with all the tie-in media, so there could be something more official out there.) There is also Fiona, a character with Down syndrome, in one of this year's Friends sets.

They're all still there for me, just still out of stock. Try checking again; maybe it was just a brief glitch? 🤞 -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Well, I have learned my lesson here. I was debating whether I should A.) buy more than I actually wanted and sell/trade the extras, or B.) just buy the specific ones I wanted on the aftermarket. I opted for A and it has been enormously frustrating trying to arrange trades and sales; it would be worth the slightly inflated aftermarket prices just to avoid all of that. -
My vote is for the Haunted House; I really enjoyed building it, and it does have fun play features with the drop tower and light brick. Building the chain mechanism was pretty tricky but the payoff was definitely worth it.

I think a Dark Dimension diorama with a brick-built Dormammu could be a very cool set. (Kaecilius was never shown in the Dark Dimension, but so what, he can be included anyway.) And for Guardians of the Galaxy, I know another Ronan is coming anyway so this wouldn't get us any new characters, but I'd love to see a "Guardians Dance-Off" vignette. -
The larger-scale versions of the James Bond Aston Martin, Ghostbusters ECTO-1, and Back to the Future DeLorean are all in the Icons / Creator Expert range, so I imagine there's enough precedent there. Somehow I don't see a CMF happening, but BrickHeadz seem to be the go-to route for otherwise dormant licenses. I think another possibility could be a large brick-built Dalek at a similar scale to the buildable droids from Star Wars.

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

"Space" is pretty much all we know at the moment, nothing more specific than that. However, I'm leaning slightly toward it being licensed, if only because 1.) I remember seeing something about a "Wizards" series that ended up being the first Harry Potter series, and 2.) the unlicensed series that had distinct themes still followed the general numbering (Series 14 and 18). -

Are those new bow molds for the Hawkeyes as well? -
I think a set of daylilies would be nice - they come in a lot of vibrant colors and could be popular among cat owners who wouldn't want to display the real thing in their homes. I would also love to see some fruit and vegetable builds, perhaps even a big cornucopia as a seasonal release for autumn.

So allegedly there will be two suits, both of which are new and not reuses, right? I'm guessing one will be an updated Mark VI, and maybe one of the more unusual variants from Iron Man 3. Personally I'd love to see the Mark XXVII "Disco," but Mark XXXIX "Starboost" could be a strong contender considering how highly sought after the "Space Iron Man" from 76049 has become. -

The list says Black Widow, Thor, and Captain America are all reuses; I'm really hoping they're the ones from the Quinjet specifically. And I'm assuming War Machine, Nick Fury, Tony Stark, and Pepper Potts are all the versions from last year's Iron Man Armory? I'm also choosing to believe "at least 22" means a chance of Quicksilver and Loki as well. -

So, what are we thinking about the purple helmet and air tanks from 80111? I have a bunch of parts sitting in my cart just waiting for those two to release before I actually submit the order. Are they ever going to show up on B&P or do I need to suck it up and pay the exorbitant Bricklink prices? -

I really love the Endgame Final Battle set! I do wish it had more, like Rescue and at least one of the Guardians characters from that scene, and I really think the Nano Gauntlet should have been included. Still went straight onto my wishlist as soon as I saw it though. I think the major takeaway from the reveals is the fact that this and the NWH set are both built on similar display bases. This makes me think we might see future Infinity Saga sets that are all part of a sort of cohesive subtheme. -
The recolors of Minions hairpieces are particularly inspired! (68211 in green and 68212 in turquoise are both new I believe)

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 24. Rumors and discussion
tafkatb replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah I'm really digging that shirt print! It's just enough to push me to buy the whole figure rather than just wait for the rocking horse to turn up on Bricklink or B&P. (Series 21 Violin Kid was a similar situation - wouldn't have been worth it to buy the figure just for the accessory if not for the cool Blacktron II shirt print.) -
