Pirates took what they could get when it came to ships, but often preffered small light weight fast sail boats to raid treasure ships. If you look back in history, very few pirates actually had ships. In regards to the gun crews I agree, although will only ever have two men in my MOC's so as I don't run out of people.

I find it seems to take a huge amount of time when refreshing, but other than that it is fine for me.

No, but I havn't seen a sea with hundreds of perfectly placed ripples exactly the same uniform distance apart from each other either.

Yes. There are the ebay auctions at the bottom of your screen, or you could wait until next year, but I wouldn't combine police, octane etc. in a pirate shoot.

I think this is too cluttered. I know battles would have been in real life, but I find it difficult to understand what is happening in some parts. But maybe I'm just an old geezer!

Before asking in this forum, you should probably check ebay, bricklink or come 2009 even your local department store! Just that this forum is for discussing pirates - not buying and selling items.

I am pretty sure that makes use of tiles underneath the dock. Although I would suggest that if you are going to use tiles, cover all of the base - you have studds on the outside of the dock supports. I agree that wood doesn't rust, but I don't think that is the desired effect. I think it is suppoed to be seaweed on the bottom. Also the boat looks to cluttered. It looks as though it is about to sink so maybe move some of the cargo out. I don't think this will be enterable due to the modern technology, but this is a good MOC and a real credit to you anyway!

So this ship isn't as realistic as we originally thought. So the BSB gun deck would be for cargo, and the deck above that would have the cannons right?

Pe866, A large amount of these questions have already been answered, and it isn't fair on us all to have to reply to the same questions again and again. However, I will help you out with a few: Yes. They can't be vikings etc. Of course they can be bald. Some pirates were most definatley bald. Hats are not an issue here. Water can be whatever you like, but as a rule of thumb, water is usually flat (tiles, SNOT) so as not to detract from the rest of the model. True. That's like saying let's not bring back the Metroliner. But then again, that was never re-released in Australia, so they have done that sort of thing before.

When you post a reply, it's a good idea to read the whole topic so you don't look silly. The answer is that in order to use attachment space, he decided to take this image off and use the bandwidth for another attchment in a different post. However he has now registered for a Brickshelf account so this will no longer be a problem.

Ah good idea! As you already have an army, you could use the new torsos for when you make MOC's of functions and ceremonies etc.
