  1. That is a sweet house. I'll comment further when you add the fighting, but at the moment I'll just say, add more palm trees. In the Bahamas or wherever, the palm trees would be the dominant plant life. And also add some cgi backgrounds and it would look really cool.
  2. Gee Zorro, this is old news. I'm very dissapointed. Joking! This is a really cool little set. I like the fig. Such a happy pirate!
  3. Hehehehehe. That's just what I was thinking. Now SlyOwl, what is this ship you speak of?
  4. Wow! This is beyond FRICKIN AWESOME! WHOOOOOT! Although flickr being blocked is nothing. I can't even get onto Eurobricks! Luckily I'm at home. This is fantastic news, and I can see this becoming one of these threads 30 pages long! I just hope they're in Canberra, Australia very soon!
  5. Thanks for the kind words everyone. The vocals are sure better in this than my first attempt... This film took me just under 7 hours including editing, but I could have done it heaps quicker. But I really wanted to make this good. If this is the promofor a competition this big, I need to make it up to the competition standards. But I think I came pretty close. I'm really happy with the results.
  6. I'm sure Calvin sounds cool too. Yeah. You know, I was thinking of using some blood, then I realised that would be what you wanted, so I decided against it. Sorry.
  7. You bet it is. You are allowed to put 6 images into your post and links to more.
  8. Well, they have you all worked out then Guss! Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you enjooyed it. And that's very close to my real voice, so now you know what Captain Zuloo sounds like.
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks fellow Aussie! I will be heading up your way on Monday from Canberra. I wonder if I'll see you...
  10. Here it is, ladies and minifigs. The promotional video for Classic-Pirates.com's Pillage the Village contest! And about time too! I was putting this off for ages, then I thought "I'm going to make this, and I'm going to make this today!" So, I sat down, and I made a promo video for the competition. Yay!So here is the Youtube link, or you can watch it in high defenition at BrickFace Studios.com or at Vimeo.Enjoy!
  11. I would recommend using ebay for the rail and get some 9v. In regards to the lights, I think you have it downpat. There are dolls house lighting kits avalibe, but they are quite expensive. I think the LEDs and fine wire (fibre optic?) would be your best bet.
  12. Great use of the soccer goals there. Well done.
  13. Hink, this is bloody fantastic! I can't tell you how impressed I am. This is great. One of my favourite parts is how you used those huge windows without making it look really <insert that tiresome argument> and basic. Great work!
  14. Hey. I voted 4, because I don't know much about fabuland building as it's not my forte. However I like this building. It sort of has that fabuland fantasy feel about it. I could probably build a fabuland MOC someday. I'm not sure though... Well done!
  15. Although it seems activity in the main forum has been greatly reduced!
  16. You know, people knock this set so much, but i really like it. After all, she was my first LEGO set. So maybe it's just sentimental value to me, but I find her quite an atractive ship.
  17. Guss, you could giveus a link. I was flicking through brickshelf and I was thinking "This reminds me of Guss's entry"and so it was!
  18. Sadly, that's very true. Although not realistic, I would like to see a minifig scale cruise ship. Like a proper 2m long. Not that that would be practicle from any perspective, but it would be really cool. Perhaps LEGO's version of a cruise ship could be like those river cruise boats with rooms and diners without the whole pool, theatre, salon etc.
  19. A cafe corner for $180? Well done. That certainly is a first. I have never bought LEGO there. In Canberra and Adelaide at least, it is too expensive. In Adelaide at least they have Toy Corner though.
  20. You mean you actually purchase LEGO from there? Waaaaaaaay to expensive. I saw the crappy 2008 passenger train for $50 more than everywhere else. Biggest rip off ever.
  21. Well, my name is from a long tradition of te Zuloo... Actually, I was pretty tired when I created my account, so instead of Zulu I wrote Zuloo. But I'm actually glad I didn't make it Zulu, because it's more unique this way. I reckon Captain Zuloo is a good name for a pirate hunting minifig anyway.
  22. WOW! Fantastic! The best large entry we've seen so far. The biggest possible! What I like: 1. The micro-scale tudor buildings are great. The look so minifig scale. If that makes any sense... 2. The BSB is really cool. Why do you need to win one when you already have one? 3. I love the little details like the slopes between the turrets (I think. A castle fan could correct me there?). They add such a sense of realism. What could be improved 1. Not much really, although I really don't like the fence / poles on the wall. I think the pylons are too large for the actual poles. 2. In the micro-scale gate, use plates rather than bricks for the turrets (again, I'm not sure). They are just a little tall. Other than that though, this is a great entry, probably the best I've seen s far. Great work pe668!
  23. Well, I didn't know you could copyright a word, but now I do. And I read a book called the "Animation Bible" and they used the word Brickfilm reguarly. So I think we'll be ok.
  24. I don't think they have copyright on the word. But really, the word brickfilm is on websites, books etc. So if they have a problem with it, they can let us know. Otherwise, we will continue to use the word.
  25. That would be me! I like it because it is the closest LEGO has come to producing a proper white, canvas, blank sail. It has always annoyed me that they put graphics on the sails. It would be way more realistic if they wee just a yellowy white canvasy sail with no pattern. But that's not likely.
