Very true Mister Phes. I think with all the assistance in this thread, It could be like a community project! Not quite, but the underwater bit is great!

Yay! I got the picture on the front page to work! And I really wish I didn't Man you are ugly! And the scary thing is, you look very similar to me.... Joking! Congrats on the portrait man but you really deserve it. No offence to anybody here, but that newsletter was a bit of a shambles before. I think you have done a great job of it. Regards, Captain Zuloo -
Very true indeed. Pirates would have used a small liferaft if that was all they could get their hands on. Although Lego pirates seem to be a bit picky and usually end up with better ships than the navy..... If I were you, I wouldn't spend your money on lego to make pirate things with this year, but I would wait until next year when you can get pirate specific pieces. Just an idea. Regards, Captain Zuloo

Ah. No worries! It happens to the best of us. Regards, Captain Zuloo

I look foward to seeing your pictures. We can wait though if you don't know how to deeplink. They will probably be up some time tommorrow. Oh and it's LEGO not LEGOS! Regards, Captain Zuloo

Ah. Yes. It is a good site. Although no-one will know where it is if you don't post a link. The site can be found here. I think it has been posted before, but it was so long ago it doesn't matter. I like the bit about the albatross ship in the story - well woth a read. Regards, Captain Zuloo

ImperialShadows, I hope you don't hate me for not including an image on the frontpage, but it was my first article and I couldn't find the URL to the image. Anyway, congratulations on the portrait. I think I have found 1 mistake in about 4 issues. Keep up the great work! Regards, Captain Zuloo -
Yeah. I had a look at your Brickshelf, and I think you have made imporvements. Like the main mast being a little further back, has definately made the ship look more - balanced. Regards, Captain Zuloo

I would soooo love to get my hands on one of thoes lots! Great find even though they are fantasy to me as I have no $$$! Regards, Captain Zuloo

I agree that the bow should be a bit higher, but I think that the idea is kind of to make it look comical. So short and stubby is the intention I believe. I don't know how you missed it, Mister Phes, because you missing something in the Pirate Forum?!!??!!??!!!? WOW! And yes it is front page news. This is a brilliant MOC. Regards, Captain Zuloo

Hehehe. You evil, evil lad!

It's amazing at how quick these posts are replied to. I thought being the lot of sea dogs you are, you'd want to keep what you're bidding on a secret! That's not to say stop letting us know.... Regards, Captain Zuloo

I can't say I'v actually seen this ship before. It looks very good and I think you will be a good asset to the community. Regards, Captain Zuloo

A Guide to the Pirates Minifigures - Part II - The Soldiers
Captain Zuloo replied to TalonCard's topic in LEGO Pirates
Ah. Thankyou for re-uploading them. I decided to host the Guide to the Pirate Minifigures Part II on BrickFace Studios.com because I didn't realise that the link had been fixed. Oh well. I may as well leave them there now until I need the bandwidth to upload something else. Regards, Captain Zuloo -
Your welcome. I would say as far as rocks, use as many different shades of grey as possible, and make them as random as possible. No two rocks are the same, and ou want to reflect that in your MOCs. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/hicksc/P...screenshot6.png In this picture (I didn't post because it will take to long for anyone to load the forum if I did), notice how I have used calm water, until the brakers on the rocks and shore. The jagged look didn't really come out as well as I had hoped, but if you go for random, you'll be fine. And use grey for your rocks, not tan, and don't put blur bricks in the middle of the water! I hope that made sense. Ah so you did. Oh well, I'll hunt you down regardless! Captain Zuloo

Ah. I think I remember replying in a topic very similar to this not too long ago. No matter! I agree with you. Music does really help MOCing. At least that's my opinion. Sadly though, I can't find the Age of Empires soundtrack avalible for download on limewire or on the net. But I do have all of the POTC soundtracks, so that gives me my pirate music fix. That's strange. What version of Adobe Reader do you have? Try right clicking the link and going save target as to save the file to your computer. If that doesn't work, PM me. Captain Zuloo -
Oh. That's Ok then. I thought we were going to have to keelhaul you.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He used MegaBlocks! Those are MegaBlocks arms! AAHHHHH!!!! You should be put awaay for a long, long time for this! But I do like the ship which is clearly made form Lego I was thinking we were going to have to make you walk the plank! A lot of sloped positions for the bricks. I do really look foward to seeing it done, but maybe add some sails, for that contrasting colour. Regards, Captain Zuloo

Hey, I would probably say that your biggest problem is you have a BRICK not a plate sticking up in the middle of it. What I find works well, is if you use PLATES then have some white ones as brakers and some roof tiles as in different shades of grey for rocks with a few bricks to make it look more jagged. Regards, Captain Zuloo P.S. Yes I know that you partly used plates but Bah! P.P.S. Watch my movie or I will hunt you and every last one of your men down..... P.P.P.S. Overall though, a good MOC so far with the trees especially.

Hey, Sorry again for the double post, but I just finnished uploading the soundtrack of Oceans on End, writen by myself, to BrickFace Studios.com for you to download. Don't worry, it's free, What are you waiting for? Regards, Captain Zuloo

I actually think a Brickfilm forum would be big enough to have its own forum if that makes sense. Dunno, just a suggestion. And thanks for the posotive comment. Regards, Captain Zuloo

You know, I might take you up on that offer, but let me see how I go by myself as I worked out how to add more audio tracks to Vegas Movie Studio, thus giving me more control over the volume of each effect or sound clip. To record, I just used a $30AUD microphone, and an NCH Software WavePad demo. So I didn't expect it to be top notch. Regards, Captain Zuloo

Aw! That was a bit mean! Oh well. I know what you're saying though. But do you mean just the voices or the sound effects too? Because I am hoping to introduce some mates into voicing for future episodes. But thanks anyway! Regards, Captain Zuloo

I really recommend you do. Most of the software I used to make this film, I downloaded free off the net with the exeption of Vegas Movie Studio and Adobe Photoshop which I borrowed from a friend. If we can't get a forum going, and you still want to make a brickfilm, I'll be happy to help - just PM me. And that goes for everyone. Regards, Captain Zuloo
