  1. Hey, Sorry for the double post, but I had this idea, that really is too big for editing a previous one. I might also start a thread in the general news and disscussion, but I thought I would see how I went here first. What are your thoughts on a new brickfiling forum? I understand a lot of the Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates.com community are brickfilming enthusiasts, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a forum for brickflicks. Tell me what you think, and keep the ideas rolling for future episodes of Oceans on End. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  2. Hey could you please add Oceans on End #1 - The Island?(It's much better than Wake of Destiny) Here is the link. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  3. Well, I suppose I could've, but it's too late now. I used the bricks in other non-pirate MOC's. Shame on me. Oh well, I guess I could make simmillar MOC's again some day. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  4. Hahahahaha! I wish. There would be no money in that even if it was a real job. Shame it's not though. I just made this as a hobby. If you compare it to my other youtube videos and then watch some proffesional brickfilms, you will see that Im no pro. But thanks anyway! Regards, Captain Zuloo
  5. Bah! What rubbish. Ever seen the front of Cook's Endeavour? I actually like the bow. It looks like what a small ship should. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  6. Here is the poster. As you can probably tell, animation is my thing - not photoshop. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  7. Yeah it took a long time. First I was rushing to get it done so I could enter the Nicktoons built by me contest, but then I passed the 2min limit so I wasn't quite as frantic. The navy will go back for the marines in episode 2, and there might be a little suprise in that episode too.... Well a quick glance at the credits proves your theory that it was all done by one person - ME! Regards, Captain Zuloo
  8. Thanks everone. I'm glad you like it. I like your suggestions so keep em rolling! And I will get onto a poster soon. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  9. Find out what happens when two survivours of a shipwreck decide to "salvage" their ship. Click to be taken to the Youtube link. Click here to be taken to BrickFace Studios.comNow, what should happen in episode #2? It's all up to you. What should happen to Samuel and John? What happens to the marine who was left on the shore? It's all in your hands matey's! Enjoy! Regards, Captain Zuloo
  10. Completely accidental. I was really annoyed about it but what can you do? Regards, Captain Zuloo
  11. FANTASTIC with a capital Q! Er - F! I really LOVE it. Very detailed, in fact I have no idea how you managed to fit all of the detail in. You have packed it to the limit. I especially like the suspension bridge thingy. Well done! Regards, Captain Ziloo
  12. Very Well done. I love the hull, the scene, cannon, everything. I really like it. A good name as well, but I can't say the mast is great, but that isn't your fault. Good job and keep up the great MOCing. EDIT: I just noticed the lantern on the crows nest. I never would have thought of that. Good detail. 110% MOC. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  13. Well, the gallows is terrible, but hey! At least you are admitting it. If I were you, I would have a look at the first POTC and pause when you get to a good frame of the gallows and build from there. Otherwise, It is very good. I wouldn't worry about the chopping block though. And do something about the hangman! I would like to see this built out of real Lego. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  14. Hey, I really like it, but seriously, Lego is a childs toy regardless of all the AFOL's out there. So I do like the detail and design for that MOC, but I think it is inapropriate for a Lego person to be commiting suicide. But then, I'm a bit of a pathetic pirate, so whatever. All in all, a great MOC, and if anything you can improve, it would be buying some brown 2x2 cylinder bricks off of Lego Pick-a-brick or Bricklink for the tree trunk. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  15. That's good of you Bonaparte. But would I be right thinking the old account name is patriot720? In regards to the hull, I recommend buying one off of ebay or bricklink, because even if you think you have heaps of bricks, you can never have enough when you actually start building and buying a hull will probably end up being cheaper than buying enough bricks to continue. Masts - barrel pieces are always good, but again, I would go with the official LEGO masts. Also, when requesting advice, you need to give more info and details. There are so many kinds of ships, for so many purpouses. So in order for us to really help you, you need to give us more details on the use for the ship you want - pirate, millitary, merchant. The type of ship - frigate man-o-war, schooner, brig just to name a very few. The realism you want - scale etc. And the type of budget and resources to complete the project that you have. If you need further details that you can't get out of the forums, send me an email and I will be glad to help you out. Cheers, Captain Zuloo
  16. Probably the striped torso, because it can be used for any type of crew or for town folk. They are readily avalible and they have very generic patterns so I use 'em for everything. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  17. Yes I did see the pictures of the new sets, and I am very pleasantly suprised. I was expecting to see rubbish produced, but I really am exited by what I saw! Sadly, no. Shortly after I took those pictures, I accidentally knocked thm off of my desk. I would have rebuilt it, but I have been busy making the first episode of my new pirate series, "Oceans on End" which I will be releasing very soon..... Thanks very much. That was what I was aiming for, so I'm glad that's what I have achieved. Thanks for all of the great comments everyone, and look out for Ocean on End #1 coming soon. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  18. Ship: Ship 62b, Island: Military 11e Hey, Firstly the reason for my absense recently is that I have just been on a round-the-world trip until my ship sunk and I had to swim back to Australia. (Not fun!) Anyway, on my travels, I designed two new MOC's that are supposed to be like sets from TLC. The first one is a naval merchant ship called the Bricksford Trader and the other is a small outpost called Bengal Island. So without further ado, I present to you: The Bricksford Trader And Bengal Island Regards, Captain Zuloo
  19. I would like to see brown masts! I have no problem withthe old design, but.... looking back into the history of ships, what ship ever had black masts? Some military ships had white, but not black. If anything, due to the fact that I like historical accuracy, I would like to see some truly historical, realistic, wooden, brown masts for my ships. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  20. I don't know. I think if the pirate line was going to be re-released, it would have been done so when POTC was released. Then people would have been interested in pirates enough to make sales skyrocket, Yes? Although, you do have some pretty hard evidence here with there being minifigs show up and if they got the mould for cutlasses back out, then things are looking up! I'm still not convinced, but I am hoping! Regards, Captain Zuloo
  21. I can't say it is put together all that thoughtfully. For colour scheme for instance, even if you had a limited amount of bricks availible, you could still have put all your red together, all your white together etc. to make more realistic buildings. I don't think 17th and 18th century ports had rainbow buildings. That would be my main critisism. Sorry this may have been harsh, but I wanted to speak my mind. Good try though. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  22. I put my flags between fowards and starboard. That way it looks as though the wind is blowing in favour of the sails. A good idea for a topic though. Regards, Captain Zuloo
  23. Well Done! A fantastic MOC with very accurate details. I always appreciate MOC's that have historical accuracy. I like the story too. Keep up the great work! Regards, Captain Zuloo
  24. Why would we consider anyone but Mr Phes - you are over 18 yes? He has dedicated a lot of his life toward the pirate forum and Classic Pirates.com and also has a broad knowledge of historical piratey things. As far as I know, he is alright with MOCing though not as skilled as some. I think although there are many suitable personalities on EB, Mr Phes would be the best person to represent the international LEGO pirate community. I would nominate myself, but I'm not quite old enough so, my nomination goes to Mr Phes! Good luck! Regards, Captain Zuloo
  25. WOW! It's like a Skull-eyed Schooner / Black Pearl but way cooler! Great find. I wonder if the builder was paid for it seeing as it looks like a convention piece or something. Regards, Captain Zuloo
