LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
azzer86 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I like the Night Buzzard. I'll get the AAT for the figures (the previous release of the vehicle looks better). Still not sure on the advent calendar. Nice to see they've thrown a couple of surprises in, something not rumoured. Can't really comment on the rest as they aren't sets I'll pick up. -
I like it. I'd like to build a couple when I get around to a clone wars MOC, so a parts list etc would be great From memory, in SWBF2, they're about 2m tall, so would be larger than a minifig and a person of average height. Happy to be corrected.

Smyth's in the UK also have the AT-AT listed for £140 as a pre-order. No exact date other than "between 1st and 7th August" -

That's an incredible deal, how'd you get it? It was a flash Amazon UK sale. Didn't stay that price for long... It sold out within a few hours. As I had no interest in the anniversary Leia figure, I sold it on and "reduced" the cost of that set to me even more. -

Thanks for the info. Might be money saved for me if it's the same here. The GWP doesn't interest me, but can't really justify the full price with SW sets anymore unless it's a UCS or a "must have". The at-pt and slave 1 are sold out in the UK - maybe that's a marker for the sale tomorrow (reserving stock?). Could be wrong. I got slave 1 last year at 40% off so that's one less to buy. -

On my list to get if it's on a good discount. It's been in my Amazon watch list for over a year and not had the 40% off you sometimes get. Rarely seen it below £60. Also plan on sith tie and Poe xwing, but doubt they'll be discounted this year. -

Are there any rumours on which sets are on sale during the May 4th promo? Particularly the ROS wave. I seem to recall previous years did a daily set at heavy discount and others more general. One year even had a leaked list of discounted sets? (I could be getting this mixed up with previous Black Friday events) -
I enjoyed the original thread. Great to see it all together and finished. Great work! Looking forward to ESB now ?

ISD Aggressor (Star Destroyer MOC w interior and instructions)
azzer86 replied to Raskolnikov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi, yes these are available. It is available on rebrickable comments section. I've copied and pasted it below. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EbKW1Z2HBBI3P4slP7BQVo5jrucQMH1G/view?usp=sharing I'm currently in the process of acquiring the pieces myself to build this beauty. My downfall is rebuilding and displaying old sets one last time (like 75055 and 75095) before the parts get 'sacrificed for the greater good'. I'm at 15% of pieces acquired and sorted so far. There are tips on bulk buying Lego in the main forum if I remember correctly. -

So it's true. Hope to pick a few of these up! Lego should have announced it yesterday and kept everyone guessing if it was fake/real and kept the 'page not found' there until today. Torment us all(!) I just hope this doesn't lead to more campaigns/demands in the future turning people against each other. -
Wow - just wow Great work!

I stated in my comments my preference would be that for UCS then Nebulon and that the Gunship should be MBS, minfigure scale with several side builds (e.g. partial geonosian arena, one or two of those beasts with the plinths and heros) with several troops and droids & droideka's with a named Jedi (I suggested kit fisto, it's been a while) and named clone like rex or Cody. Just my 2p's worth.

Thanks This looks pretty good. I'll have to pick a few of the new hoods up when they come down in price/more readily available.
-
I don't own one of the new style hoods in brown. I'm wondering if anyone has tried Obi-wan's on a Jawa? It made me wonder if it'd improve the figure or not. I own quite a few Jawa's and it might make a nice variety by mixing up the hoods

Amazing work. I must have looked at this topic and photos about 20 times since you first posted it - only to repeat what everyone else has put because I can't think of anything new to say

Hi all, please find enjoy my latest creation below. This is my interpretation of a Jawa 'Junk Shop' using pieces only available within set 75020 (Jabba's Sail Barge). This design is part of my Tatooine themed building series (labelled TATxx, where the xx increases with each build). This specific build is intended for any Tatooine themed layout, but is built with TAT02 in mind [not available at the time of publishing, but the WIP can be seen in photo below with the steps and figures]. This is one of two planned side builds towards TAT02, the other is a modified cantina bar seen in the same photo. This design is minfigure scale (to a Jawa) and is a random assortment of 'junk' and other bits - from food (infamous blue milk icecream?!), pots and pans and vehicle parts. You will probably find a Sandcrawler nearby delivering new items. As this uses parts only available from 75020, I've included a few 'spare parts' in the parts list (in reddish brown, replacing the six DBG equivalent pieces) for a more aesthetically pleasing model. Note that the photos and rendered photograph do use these spare parts in place of the DGB in the parts list. Note: The sail isn't modelled in the instructions or 3D Studio model so is not included in the photos, but is in the parts list. Please refer to the actual photos for the installation Studio believes there is a collision - in reality the pieces press against one another, but does not cause any physical issues (that I know of), other than part 90258 can detach from the base easily - which may be linked, (or I suspect it is the weight of the sail construction). Printed pieces seen in the TAT02 preview are Firestar Toys custom prints Instructions and Studio files are available here for anyone interested https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32425/azzer86/jawa-junk-shop/#comments As a side note, this is my first time using Studio and I found it much easier than LDraw, so I plan to revamp my TAT01 file in the next few weeks. Enjoy and feedback/comments welcome!

Just measured mine. It fits on a 20cm shelf which I offset by 3cm from the wall (therefore 23cm depth total). From memory it's the normal efferman stand, not the narrow one. It's quite a tight fit but has been perfectly fine. (Page 21 has photos of my setup). The only problem I encounter is because of its location, when I open the cupboard door above the stairs, I sometimes forget and knock off one or two of the fins at the back

I was in the same boat Willsy. I refused to pay full price and I would only pick it up on a good discount. LegoShop in the UK doesn't have it on sale this week, but I picked mine up from Smyth's toy shop for £213 a couple of weeks ago (Smyth's is similar style shop to TRU for anyone not familiar) and I think John Lewis or Debenhams have it too for £225 (so 25% off). Smyth's also currently have a £10 off voucher if you spend over £100 so you can get it a bit cheaper but it's an in store voucher only. Brick Fanatics (issue 1) also have a magazine which has some mods to the set which might sway anyone on the fence about the set.

Lego sometimes send out replacement stickers. Try contacting customer services?

Nice work! Looks great Plus the fact it can convert into 'roll' mode makes it a great representation to me.
-
I have a brick built Bantha designed by baronsat. It's quite good, although delicate touch required for certain parts (tail & tusks are prone to falling off if you're not careful). On a separate note about tatooine theme, I'll pm you a link to one of my buildings later (and not hijack this thread )

[MOC] Star Wars Episode IX - TROS : Crashed Emperor's throne room
azzer86 replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great MOC and detailing! -
Few purchases over the past few months: 75021 - Corporate Alliance Tank Droid £13.50 (+ postage) - missing a couple of minor pieces (bought mostly for Jango) 41629 - Boba Brickheadz £15 & 75161 - Tie Striker Microfighter £3.50 from one seller on ebay (+ postage) 75245 - SW Advent Calendar - £20 in Tesco (Not paying full price for it ) 75222 - Cloud City - £213 from Smyths (collecting it Saturday). Currently £225 but then there's £12 off if you spend over £100. I wasn't planning on getting this set unless it was discounted below £230, so my arm was twisted
-
You were both right... I've made two more Firestar Toys purchases. Probably simple mods everyone else who uses them have already done. Inferno squad & Y-wing arm updates (although i'm not sure if the Mon-Calamari should have them?). Plus I'm surprised how good the DGB imperial troops look with the boots & admiral figures. Apologies for the poor lighting/quality, my proper camera wasn't available. Whilst I have a large number of figures, I don't have 'large' army's, so 5 arms & legs at a time is usually an easier cost to swallow. (My Clone and Stormtrooper armies are around 30-40 in size). (I also bought the Dr Evazan figure and a few of their custom posters which will feature in my next Tatooine MOC building(s) which is in-progress...)

Great work! Love how you've mixed up the scale of things. This must take ages to perfect! One of my favourites is the destruction of alderaan.
