  1. Good effort. I have 75222, and being in the UK, won't pay for the new set so it's good to see them together. The new set does look far superior and I'd consider modding my cloud city to include it - so thanks for this.
  2. I did... Luckily I got the x-wing & sith fighter sets cheap second hand on eBay (£45 & £40 Inc postage iirc). I've displayed them for a bit and my son swooshed the x-wing for a few days, but they're now bagged up ready to relist on a £1 eBay sales weekend... I wasn't bothered about the razor crest when first announced, but then after watching the show the Lego set grew on me. Still might not get it though. Baby Yoda does look good too.
  3. I suspect like most pc games, it'll be digital only. I think it's on Steam's store page but no pric e/date. I'm a pc and Nintendo gamer, so if the deluxe edition comes to Nintendo I'll get that. If not, I'll wait for the inevitable steam sale (since my gaming backlog is far bigger than my Lego backlog, I'm in no rush)
  4. I concur. Looks amazing! I wonder if the Luke with blue milk mention on IG leaks could be part of a deluxe edition (and hinted at in the trailer with Luke drinking blue milk)
  5. I agree, despite buying a couple of the sets I bought it for more clones because I like that period in time and design (I'd have bought any clone battle pack released, not just because it has the 501st label). It's the "demand, I want, spam social media" culture that annoyed me about the whole campaign. Get ready for the UCS gunship complaints when it doesn't include 12 different types of named clone, or we want 212 campaign next...
  6. My opinions have increased, both figs look better thanks to the clearer images. Ponda looks even better than before (and I liked the blurred photo). I think I still prefer my firestartoys Dr evazan, because it has a bit of nose print for the detail, and a small leg print. The torsos are pretty similar, but overall, Lego's official version is pretty good. My only criticism is as @storskogen points out, the poor skin coloured chest print.
  7. My Lego SW purchases have tapered off too. Imagine if Lego did a SW set along the Ninjago city/docks quality. Anyway that's off topic. I'm with you, taking the BP announcement with a pinch of salt and hope they continue. I have £220 of VIP points poised for the mos eisley set. I hope I'm not disappointed!
  8. Ponda looks good. Verdict still out for Dr evazan for me, but the image is too blurry (although I may be biased towards the firestartoys version, since I forked out money for it last year thinking Lego would never make a figure of him )
  9. For the UK folks, the 501st pack is in stock at Smyth's for home delivery
  10. My method may not be perfect, but it works for me I think there are dedicated threads on buying large number of pieces for builds like this in the more general threads on eurobricks. Suggest looking there for tips too.
  11. If it's made it to the warehouse you'll be fine. I once tried cancelling something that was in the warehouse and they said it was too late. (They had to deliver it for me to post it back to process the refund...) Anyway thanks @Redroe I "Lego shop rage quit" and ordered from Amazon . Shame I won't get the back to school gift though for my son.
  12. When I ordered mine, the limit was 5 and on backorder. I ordered 2. Woke up this morning and they've cancelled my whole order! (It had a couple of mario sets in too). Quite annoyed.
  13. I'm in the process of acquiring the parts. From my own collection I'm up to 47% That'd be my starting point, work out what you're willing to sacrifice for the greater good. There was one part which was £5-6 each on bricklink and you need 6 of them. It's about £1.30 from Lego replacement parts site which is what I did to save money. (Bricklink Part 87926). I've also been seeing which is cheaper, 50 of one part on bricklink from one seller or Lego's website. Again, quite a few tile pieces were much cheaper (2x4 tile is an example where you need 400+ of them). Hope this helps?
  14. I usually reside in the SW forums, but this time of year have a separate tab open to catch the WV rumours. Now I understand the anti-remake logic (I did say I'm usually in the SW forums which is always full of remakes...), part of me wouldn't be against Lego it if they released two WV sets a year, one something new and the second set a remake. I started collecting from Santa's workshop and got all past sets but the original toy shop and post office off eBay for reasonable prices. I was greatful for the toy shop remake as the old WV sets were quickly escalating in the second hand market. The post office I used my own pieces and bricklink to complete. My sister started collecting from the new toy shop / train set so I'm always looking for cheap second hand sets for her, but they are now outside of her price range unfortunately. So I could see one year something new (ski lodge, sweet shop etc) and a remake (bakery) but I understand Lego only releasing one a year since the previous year(s) sets are usually on the shelf too. Just my 2p's worth...
  15. Maybe that's where the original shuttle rumour came from (and leaked info was miss interpreted?) as a small scale shuttle build like slave 1 in CC. It would be nice to have a shop, a different speeder vehicle or something. Hopefully I can integrate my two tatooine models into a larger MBS scene and really flesh it out with alleyways, a junk/scrap area etc.
  16. Haha, I thought it might have been a hint at the unknown $40 set (if it isn't the rumoured bespin scene - forgive me after pages of the Disney tax/Lego design decisions/etc discussions). In that case then, I'm fully on board with an MBS Cantina! Hopefully it'll be better executed than cloud city.
  17. Hint at a 4+ /small Cantina set then?
  18. If this Cantina set is true then... :D I can imagine Lego doing something along the MBS series - assuming that's still a thing, like hoth/cloud city with the main Cantina building and smaller side builds like the falcon/jabba scene, maybe a dewback or bantha, a landspeeder etc. More excited for different aliens minifigs though.
  19. Thanks I do enjoy setting up some scenes for the photos. Some I'd decided early on in the design, whereas the handcuffs on Dr evazan was a last minute decision. It was announced last night as the MOC Monday (a weekly post) in the LUG I'm part of.
  20. Thanks :) Look forward to seeing your Tatooine build when it's ready
  21. Couple of second hand purchases: Poe's X-wing 75273 (£40 plus p&p) and the Sith Tie Fighter 75272 (£44 inc p&p). All the minifigures were included too, so really happy with the prices, as I refused to pay full price for them.
  22. Hi all - I’d like to present to you my second interpretation of a Tatooine themed MOC building. It is the first of several planned builds I have for this 'theme'. I plan to label these as TATxx where xx increases with each build. It is based on background buildings seen in Episodes I and IV, whilst also drawing on the buildings in the SW BF2 game with my own spin/interpretation of it – i.e. what I think looks aesthetically pleasing and fits into the Tatooine 'world'. It could also easily feature in a Mandalorian background scene set on Tatooine. It contains two detachable roofs which allow for the empty interior to be filled as desired. The interior of both buildings are empty - mainly left up to your own interpretation, but I’ve previously created a Cantina bar which pops inside the second building and I've created this room as a Twi'lek "dance club" which might have pleased Jabba... The left room is a bounty hunter's hideout with a Boba presenting his prized catch to the other hunters. An additional suggestion is in the unused top area of the second building. Another of my builds (Jawa Junk Shop) is designed to fit into this area nicely, adding a shop to the area. The building really 'comes alive' when figures and details outside give it a richer experience. All posters/custom arm & minifig prints are from FireStar Toys. The Bantha is designed and by @BaronSat and the other vehicles are official Lego models. Any comments are welcome and please leave a message/query if you spot an error within the instructions. I shall try my best to quickly correct it. The instructions and other details are available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-45639/azzer86/tatooine-double-building-slums-tat02/ More photos are available here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/azzer86/tat02 To anyone who missed the post on TAT01, it is located here: TAT01 and TAT02 together Thanks for looking :)
  23. IG suggests that the stormtrooper will be in an upcoming Lego SW magazine polybag/free gift for August. If you're on the fence or don't own the new helmet (like myself) it might be a cheap way to pick one up and see how you feel about it in person rather than from pictures?
  24. To those who know, was the previous UCS shuttle minifig scale or enlarged like most of the other ships? I own the smaller one from a few years ago, but if the UCS is to scale with slave 1 and MF UCS then I'd be more likely to get it (if rumours are true). I'd be slightly disappointed whatever the 2HY set is if it's not a MBS, I expected one every couple of years the way cloud city was announced with that branding.
