  1. Just finished mine and to be honest I am not impressed. the model itself is good , but the pneumatic system is the letdown as it seen to be under powered I think it needs a second compressor and or air tank and the general layout of the air tubing and vales needs a rethink as it is very cramped.
  2. I was trying to reduce the gearing ratio, when i can up with this http://www.mocpages....91m_DISPLAY.jpg
  3. Can anyone tell me what the gear ratio is from the motor to the worm gear is please
  4. Been working on a more powerful version of my old Bridge layer http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/307076 http://www.mocpages....46m_DISPLAY.jpg http://www.mocpages....443/14455147471 the gearing for the lifting arm is 12 = 12 tooth double bevel 20 = 20 tooth double bevel > = driving XL motor axle 12 > 20 axle 12 > 20 axle 12 > 20 axle 12 haft Bevel > 20 axle 12 > 20 axle worm gear > Turntable The bridge is 60 studs long
  5. I was looking at a plastic model site, when i found this http://www.cybermodeler.com/armor/ural5920/ural5920_all.shtml after a quick google I found a youtube of one as a firetruck racing around the snow from the look of the truck it would be only be used on snow or muddy conditions
  6. 8053 would have to be in the running for one of the top 5 places or may be one of the top 2
  7. I keep getting the message 503 Service Unavailable No server is available to handle this request
  8. There are no update since 01/01/2015 after loging in, the link to "My parts" take me to the login page
  9. I would have put this in " Pneumatic general discussion" is about "This topic is for pneumatic tips and tricks, how to use pneumatics and mocs including pneumatics" I would love to get kit with only the pneumatic of the 42043 but with 2 or 3 x the number of cylinders and no hoses cut
  10. I am thinking of getting 2 42043 for parts (wife willing or not knowing). out of the 140 (more or less) technic set i have, i have only kept one 8455-1 Backhoe loader to gether
  11. I thought of posting in the general forum (or it would be moved ) , but I am more intersted in Technic Lego
  12. Do you buy the kit more for the parts or the kit itself ? I lean towards the parts myself (i think i have posted this question before.)
  13. The May 2015 copy of Kzone comes with 30272 for AU$6.00. I got one at a local Newsagent
  14. is the a simple program that can tell what parts you have ? not only in a set but in a collection well.
  15. I am wondering why alot (90% +) instructions I download in pdf format from Lego Customer service are blurred or dark even when you zoom in.
  16. I would have to say 8455 Back-Hoe ( 2003) is the best. I did not buy it. (big mistake) I have made it with parts I have and I really don't want to take it apart. All the technic set I get get built and taken apart within a week or two.
  17. But I do not think it's as strong as the old one with the axle running all the way through it, I don't know why they (TLG) change it any way ?
  18. I read that the new worm gear is beaning drop from production. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97020 *
  19. I was thinking of "shelf space" . 42025 is almost as wide as it is long. It should have come with folding wings
  20. would 42025 Cargo plane be the largest Technic set (not in parts count)
  21. Lego have got the technic download for 2014 kits up and running again, this with the b models for 42025 hovercraft and 42024 road grader
  22. The instructions for Technic kits for the first half of this year have been remove from the Lego technic web site
