Lego Technic Strength
Phantom59 replied to tl8's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Another case of ask and you shall receive Posted 18 July 2011 - 11:43 PM Just out of interest which has the higher braking strain? studs or studless http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57658&st=60 Thanks -
This topic has got a little confused If I have offended anyone I am SORRY if it about the sale of 44 hubs (that's life) But if it about taking credit or profit for others work then that's wrong. I sorry to say there's little you can do to stop this sort of thing short of not putting any instructions or detailed photos on the net in the future.

I really don't see the problem. They were for sale. I don't think there was a limit per customer. In the free economy it is "first in best dress" It is no different to someone going into a K Mart and buying up all the Minifigs, Harry Potter or any other thing that is in high demand and selling them on eBay for what price they came get, it may not be right but it is not illegal.

Studless vs. Studful
Phantom59 replied to timslegos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
When you think about it, studless (and the general bricks) would I think only require 2part mould (left & right faces) where is studeted technic (with holes) would require 4part mould (left & Right and Up & Down faces) -
I think the main problem with LDD is the lack of faces and older bricks with decals This is one area where LDraw is so much better LDraw Uploaded with ImageShack.us LLD Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Studless vs. Studful
Phantom59 replied to timslegos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have to disagree with your fist comment. I think it dose not matter how you keep your lego models as long as you are happy. Getting back to the subject. I think you need a mix of both studs & no studs ( % is up to you ) -
Studless vs. Studful
Phantom59 replied to timslegos's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Is it possible to upload that template please. I'm just starting to play with LDD ( I mainly use LDraw) and I am having trouble finding parts. -
How do you find any thing in LDD ? I use LDraw and I find it is a lot easier to find the part I want. As for the names "Car Steering Stand and Wheel (Complete)or 3829c01" in LDraw is called console W. Wheel in LDD. Is there any web site where you can look up part names for LDD like Ldraw Part tracker or Peeron

What set should i buy?
Phantom59 replied to Jack-Jedi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Do you mean 5 Universal Joints I have both models and I think that the Front Loader 8265 is the better model, for some reason I don't like the Telescopic Handler But it really come down to what you want from the models or what parts you want. Me I tend to look at what parts are in the kit now, instead of what it builds up to -
A road grater would be great I don't think Lego has done a major model of one After a quick look at brick set only as a b model 9 years ago 8451-1: Dump Truck front push blade front slopping wheels main blade articulated joint in front of or behind cab talons or rippers at the back And some where to put the RC gear It could be as simple or as complex as you like
-
If you could have any old Technic set re-released what would it be ? Me, I would like 8860-1: Car Chassis http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8860-1 (But with a different dif or 4143 Technic, Gear 14 Tooth Bevel replaced with 6589 Technic, Gear 12 Tooth Bevel if possible )
