By the way, sets 80101 and 80102 are now listed on the Korean Lego shop page: https://shop.lego.com/ko-KR/product/Chinese-New-Year-s-Eve-Dinner-80101 https://shop.lego.com/ko-KR/product/Dragon-Dance-80102

I was afraid I might have missed a few spots like that when I “cleaned up” the file. Oh well... And that first LDD import does look a little scary it seems stud.io and ldd don’t play that well together... As for building the set, I would do it like Rog said: build the central body first, and then attach the wings, the head and then the front and back panels.

Well...do I really have to say anything? ;) Blacktron (I) and Futuron were the big space themes when I really got into Lego, so these will always be my favorite ones.
-
I don’t know of any, no. There are a few programs to create instructions from ldd files, and you can export a stud.io model to ldd. But I never tried any of those... Is there any particular part of the build you’re struggling with? I’m happy to help if you have any problems :)

Oh yes, a porg brickhead sounds like a fun idea. In a way, my porg is constructed a bit like an oversized brickhead anyway: a blocky central core with snotted sculpted sides.

[MOC] Classic Retro Rocket (LEGO Moments in Space)
Tron Of Black replied to Tron Of Black's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks a lot :) I was hoping you would like it ;) Also, thanks to everyone, I'm glad you like it :) -
As promised, here's the link to the stud.io file on bricklink: https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/model.page?idModel=32050

Just saw the model over in your Ballabreek 2018 thread :) Very cool idea for a model, you definitively have my vote!

Hello everyone, when I heard about the "Moments in Space" contest on LEGO Ideas, I of course had to start creating a model to enter into the contest, and this here is my entry: Classic Retro Rocket by Marius Herrmann, auf Flickr It's a retro style rocket in the vein of the classic rocket ships of science fiction, especially of the 30s and 40s. As the contest rules limit the size of the model to about 300 pieces, I decided to build a microscale display model with a matching stand, sort of like a desk toy. Classic Retro Rocket by Marius Herrmann, auf Flickr I wanted the model to have three-way-symmetry, which isn't easy to achieve with lego at this scale, but I think it turned out quite nice :) Of course it can also be displayed without the stand, ready for takeoff: Classic Retro Rocket by Marius Herrmann, auf Flickr Classic Retro Rocket by Marius Herrmann, auf Flickr Classic Retro Rocket by Marius Herrmann, auf Flickr So, if you like my little rocket and would like it to become an official LEGO model, please consider voting for it :)

Defective arch pieces in new set?
Tron Of Black replied to Johnny1360's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Do you mean this piece here? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=1474&idColor=1#T=S&C=1&O={"color":1,"iconly":0} I haven’t heard of any part variations for this piece, but of course it’s possible that TLG has updated the molds recently. -
I have a stud.io file; It’s of an earlier version of the model, so I need to update it a bit. I hope I can do that over the weekend, then I’ll post it here :)

Hi Zetroc, please check the picture link, it doesn’t work.

Wow, thanks :) Maybe I should, but it seems that Star Wars sets don’t really have much of a chance of passing the review... Yes, I need to try that! Unfortunately, my UCS R2-D2 and BB-8 are not here right now, but I‘ll try to update the post with some new pictures next week :) Again, thanks a lot, everyone. I‘m really glad you like it :)

Thanks everyone, glad you like it :) Not at the moment, no :D Plus then I'd have to build a to-scale Chewie, too ;) Thanks for the compliment! :) Especially coming from an obvious Porg-connoisseur like you ;)

Very sleek Lotus :) I like the engine detailing , and it looks gorgeous in British Racing Green (£2 well spent! )!

It appears you can indeed enter several times. It isn’t stated in the contest rules, but in the general FAQ for Ideas Contests: Source: https://ideas.lego.com/contest_faq

Brick Lover posted the name here in this thread. But it seems he edited his post to remove the names, strange ( you can still see it in other posts that quote him though)... So you’re saying there’s still a chance of 31077 being about space instead of pastry?
-
I saw that too. Wasn’t 31077 rumored to be called “ The Universe is full of Surprises” before? A strange name for a pastry shop I don’t really know what to make of that...
-
Great job, cimddwc! It does look a lot more cohesive and like a true Art Deco building! I think I will try a similar mod when I get the set.
-
Ooh, that contest sounds fun! I’ll try to enter that for sure!

[MOD] Ahch-To Island Training (75200) w/ X-Wing Door [Updated]
Tron Of Black replied to Admonisher's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That’s indeed a cool detail from the movie and a cool mod I’ve been thinking about doing a similar mod if/when I get the set ever since I saw the door in a concept art picture in the art book for TLJ. And you’re right, it’s a bit hard to see in the movie, but you notice it if you know what you’re looking for.
