Think you might want to seal that wall instead...
-
Hmm, makes me think of one main enemy the quest is about... You wouldn't say it's Violetta, would you? But of course she will get it, and escape... I'm just gonna shut up before Sandy gets all mad at me.
-
Is it just me, or does it look like someone's gonna bust down the wall in the back? EDIT: And then steal the gem, just like in all the movies.

Some of the potion is left, Durkon, while he was cautious, did not drink the entire bottle. -
Heroica RPG - Quest#25: Imbuing the Sword
Bricksandparts replied to Bricksandparts's topic in The Heroica Archive
Durkon, thinking he has gained magical powers or abilities, picks up Sylph and drops him onto the floor dealing 1 damage. Sylph gets up, and then the party sees the true nature of what the potion does... At first, nothing. Then, Durkon morphs into a rabbit... Until the party finds a cure to the potion, Durkon cannot fight, and someone that can talk to animals must translate messages. -

QM Note: I'm having really bad internet connection right now, most of the time it won't do anything. The party is the red dot on the map, the grey dot is where the party started. The party has already searched this area and found 3 bottles with no labels. -
"Come on, I'm just having a little fun." Johon gets a glass of water and sits down at the table. "Relax will ya?" Johon has some more meat and takes some sips of water. "But if you want to, I may be able to teach you some fighting tricks, though I'm no rogue." Johon says, patting the Lycn's saber aside. "So, anyone want bread? It seems no one wants any of this perfectly fine meat." Johon says, fiddling with his knife. "Oh, speaking of training, I think I may want to look into magic. Arasmyth, I wouldn't want to, and I'm no asking you to be a master or some sort of thing like that, but maybe you could help me learn the basics?" (RP, I'm going to go to battle-mage if someone would help me, otherwise I'll train for raider, then train with Lycan or something like that.)
-
Ok, but you still could have said something like this in OoC, not a repeat of messing up Leo's love interest person. He asked people to stop, yet no one listened. Plus I'm level 15, I've been practicing at the training room, I know a little about different styles, yeah maybe not enough to be a hot-shot serial killer guy, but that happens a lot. Sapphire really isn't that strong. It's brittle, it's strong and then it breaks, it wouldn't bend on anything or deflect a knife.
-
OoC: Then I kicked him from under the table and the Knife flew into your hat. Why does everyone act like barbarians are dummies? Barbarians may not be super smart, but they have the instinct on strength and fighting. Plus fighting as a barbarian gives the character more wild fighting skills and ability to know when something is too crazy and impractical... Plus part of your staff is metal or something, and sapphire isn't all that, that strong. I do think it is unfair to take a players RP actions into context if they weren't possible and wouldn't have happened that the player couldn't have known. You should instead say why it wouldn't have worked OoC instead, not just call the person delusional.

"Shut up priest. You think I don't know what I'm doing? You couldn't survive in the wild for a day, all you'd do is pray to that god of yours or some crap." Johon pulls his knife out of the wall and slings it at Arasmyth, catching on his staff. "Do we have to go through this again?" Johon Knee-kicks Arasmyth in his 'area' and sends him tumbling backwards onto the floor.
-
"Violent? Yeah you 'aven't been on no quests yet." Johon pats Lycan on the shoulder, almost knocking him down (If he had meant to he could ) And then turns to his supper. "Want some food?" Before Lycan can answer, Johon sends a knife with some meat on it flying past Lycan and hitting the wall about an inch away from him. The knife sticks out of the side of the wall, still clinging the meat. "What? Not hungry?" Johon says in a boastful tone.

Heroica RPG - Quest#25: Imbuing the Sword

The party travels back up to where Durkon fell in the trap door. Hoke rolls out his Bedroll and quickly falls asleep. (He will not gain HP or ether unless he sleeps the entire night, so the party can wake him up if they decide to continue.) -
Johon walks into the hall after hunting for a while. The food at the hall was good, but he decided he needed more exercise. He then realizes his birthday was a few days ago. He looks around the hall and sees a barbarian women easily knocking a new hero down with the butt of her axe. He then sees Arasmyth, the mage who had started messing with him a while back, talking with the crazy old monk guy who went around talking about this 'God' character. Johon swings his prey down (A bear and 2 rabbits) onto a table and starts cleansing the meat. After cooking the meat and cleaning his hands he walks over to some of the new heroes, Alisha and Lycan. "Hello there, welcome to the hall." He then notices that Alisha is fairly strong and had probably been on a quest. Offering Alisha some of the meat, he addresses her. "You been on a quest before? You look fairly strong..." Johon motions to Lycan with eye movement and winks. "Johon, pleased to meet you, perhaps I should know your name?"

QM Note: Just 'searches around'? Durkon 'searches around' but finds nothing in the immediate area other than the table, some lamps, blood-stains, and machinery from the machine gun. -

"I may have, the guild here uses this vault quite often truthfully, but I don;t know what they store here. Talking to Sam, he says he found some vials and books in here when he found this place. He didn't find anyone here he says, he could be telling the truth, I haven't been in the guild for all that long. But as for the items I don't know, sorry." -

I actually personally think it'd be really cool if there were upgrades to weapons and/or other artefacts. Say it'd be like Guram's where you can poison a blade forever a set price. I think selling belts from quest 24 would be a cool idea also, and maybe even some pets.

I've thought about this before, but the thing about it is, the houses could just send people to Heroica hall to see if their rivaling house is planning something against them.
