  2. I'm guessing that this quest is not the finale, endgame? I hope it's not. Otherwise you lied to us. Although it is April fools day so...

  4. "I wouldn't say mercenary, I'm just a guard. Quinton Themor hired us, he's the owner of the establishment." He says, looking over his shoulder at the building. "About sneaking inside, however, I don't know how you can do it. There are multiple guards on the first floor, and some more spread throughout the other floors."
  5. With everyone in the fields topic currently changing their avatars and/or name, I feel inclined to change something... Nope.
  6. Actions: Alexander - 2 Romulus - 4 2 Mizuki - 1 4 Alexander shoots another arrow, and is able to land yet another lethal hit, felling the guard to the ground. Romulus is able to slash at the two guards with swords, lethally damaging them. Mizuki, hiding behind the guards, sees her chance and leaps forward, kicking the swordsmen in the back, knocking them out. The last guard, the spear-man, takes multiple steps back, frightened, and clearly wanting to avoid a fight. "Spare me!" QM Note: I meant for this to be a normal battle, but I was testing out actions because I plan on using them for when you sneak into the pharmacy. I just didn't want to confuse you with how they work when you sneak inside.

  8. Alexander - 1 Alexander lets another arrow fly, this one hitting it's target in the neck. The guard drops the crossbow and falls forward, off the railing. Mizuki sneaks a few yards away, using rocks as her cover. The first guard reaches Romulus and swings his halberd at him, although Romulus is easily able to dodge the attack. The halberd head smashes into the ground as the other three guards catch up. If they wanted to avoid a fight, they would have to do something immediately.

  10. OoC: I am quite confuse don the mechanics of the handicaps as well. Please clarify their use.
  11. OoC: I'm down with docken being PL. "Then I guess apple orchards it is. Which challenges will we have active in this fight?"
  12. "Of course." Johon says, tossing the boots to her. "Sounds like a good idea. I'd recommend we fight the easy enemies to get to the more difficult as fast as possible. That way, we can get more points coming back with more challenges. Also, like you said, we will have a larger force. So, should we head to the corn maze or apple orchard first? After that, we'd head to the butterfly plains, then to the sanctuary, giving us a large advantage for the rest of the quest."
  13. OoC: If you can turn them on and off, I'd recommend going to difficult enemies, fighting them with no challenges, and then coming back to fight easier enemies with challenges, probably even more than the ones I recommended. We just need to prioritize.

  16. QM Note: There is not mechanics to the actions, I decide how effective the action would be based on the character performing the action as well as the roll. Rolls for actions: Alexander - Critical (2) Romulus - Failure (6) Alexander lets the arrow fly, it hitting the guard's upper chest. He falls down in pain, not quite falling off the side however. Romulus tosses the fire bomb, but his timing was miscalculated, as he discovers when the bomb blows up near the party itself, dealing 4 fire damage to the party. It does, however, attract the guards. The guard on the roof (left) notices, and aims his crossbow at the party. The 4 guards visible on the perimeter are running towards the party, their weapons raised. Will the party attempt any more actions or will they engage in battle?

  18. I'll leave the guessing out there for now and reveal the number tonight or tomorrow or something. By the way, the count is only for the outside, I couldn't possibly contain the inside of the model as well at the walls in one model. Basically this is just a facade.

Who knows what security they have, and it'd be good to catch them red-handed, in case there is more we don't know." The party travels east, passing through some small villages. As they pass through, they notice that some of the villagers are coughing. It appeared that the toxin had been spread to other areas as well... QM Note: Take a wild guess at how many pieces are in this facade... The party could see that there were multiple guards encompassing the area around the pharmacy. The party would probably want to find a different entrance than the front door...
  21. I'm thinking of making a table on contents at the beginning of my next quest, which will have all the information that the party knows and links to different chapters of the quest. This would include NPCs, items, maps, and other similar stuff.

  23. Ah, no I did not ask. I've never really viewed items as owned by QMs (like NPCs), unless they are specifically quest-related of course. I believe a few of my items have circulated around as well, such as the fire amulet and my scrolls (although those became official scrolls). Speaking of which, every time I see the weakened or fragile it always brings a smile to me . If a QM has a problem with a certain item being sold/dropped/etc., then I would replace it with something else.
