Old Bionicle sets: To open or not to open
Darking replied to Aethersprite's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Personally 2007 is my favourite BIONICLE G1 year, maybe in tie with 2006. However I'd say, unless it contains some very interesting pieces that you may wanna use, sell it. Though as someone pointed out earlier, don't expect to sell it at a high price... May I ask which sets are we talking about? Just for curiosity... -
You're refering to part number 99021. There you can find in which colours does the piece exist, as well as in which sets it appears.

This is really nice, although all the characters seem to have the same armor placement, just with different colors. To me that is a little boring, but they look good as a group so keep it like that if you want to. Now, about the instruments, most guitars have 6 strings, whereas basses usually have between 4 (the most common) and 6 strings. Also keep in mind that basses are longer, and have wider strings. The placement of your plates and drums in the drum-kit is rather strange, I recommend you to look up some pictures to get a better idea of what elements make up a drum kit. But I can already give you some help: -First of all, the bass drum (the one you hit using a foot pedal) should be longer, like four times the length you used. -You should a have a snare drum at one side of the bass drum, and just next to it, a hit-hat (it consists on two plates, one on top of the other, that can be closed using another foot pedal). -At the other side of the bass drum, a floor tom-tom should be placed, and at least one high tom-tom should be on top of the bass drums (look up pictures of these). -Also, plates normaly are fixed to the floor, not to the drum kit itself.

I don't know, I have mixed opinions on both the Piraka claw and 2.0 feet. Though I agree the Piraka feet looks too organic for some CCBS characters, new recolors of an old mold are always welcome (please just stop giving us the all-black one that look horrible). About the 2.0 feet piece, yeah it work for what it's meant, but I love how in Bio G1 there were loots of different feet pieces, each one with different characteristics. They helped giving some personality to the characters IMO. On a side not, I ordered all the Toa (algo with the TECHNIC Street Motorcycle, dat pieces man) some days ago, on Wednesday 7th to be more precisely. But the info of the order still says they're in the warehouse /:

But the problem here is that Brown (Metru Brown) was actually lighter than Earth Orange (Mata Brown)! Thus, not only was it ugly, but it didn't fit at all with the whole "darker colours" aesthethic. As Aanchir has mentioned, using Reddish Brown from the start would have been a much better solution.

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Discussion Thread
Darking replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I had to add just a few more pieces to an already submitted entry because of a big flaw that would cause the model not to stand up in real life. Since this doesn't affect the aestethics of the set, I supposed that it would be alright, but I thought it would be better to ask first. -
Thanks everyone for the kind comments! :D Sadly, I just discovered a pretty big flaw I left unsolved with the current model, as the socket pieces that join the upper and lower parts of the body are conected by an axle to a circular hole, not a cross one! However, I have already fixed this pretty easily by just adding a few more pieces, so the only thing left is for the new renders to finish and I will use them to substitute the current one, if that doesn't go against the rules.

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Entry Thread
Darking replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Here's my first entry: Scox. http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=101632 -
(Imgur gallery for more images and better quality: http://imgur.com/a/4Yi09#0) This is my first entry for the BFTGM contest: Scox. I... don't really have any backstory for this little fella. Maybe some kind of insectoid creature, mutated by protodermis, that now guards the entrance to the sacred "Temple of Doom, Pain and Other Sufferings"™. That or he (she? it?) just thinks Matoran are quite tasty. Oh, and yeah, all the parts used exist in those colours, so I think it qualifies as a velid entry. I also plan on entering two more entries: one made using actual pieces, and another one in LDD. I uploaded this one first just because I thinks it's better than my other digital one, and because I'm still waiting for some sets that I ordered to came by mail. I'll upload them as soon as I can. Meanwhile, thanks for giving lil' Scox a look C:

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Discussion Thread
Darking replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I have another question regarding the colors in LDD: Can we use pieces that only come in a specific color in one of the new BIONICLE sets? I ask this because I want to use 3M keetorange shells, and these only come in 2015 Lewa. I know the sets haven't been released yet, but some people already have the pieces, so i think it would be fair to use them in LDD. -
So, I don't know if this has been answered already, but which shade of brown is used in Pohatu?

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoy our music C: I'm actually a little fan of Status Quo, though it isn't one of our influences :P Also, the contest is still open for another hour, so we would be very thankful for any new votes!

Hi! Firstly, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this. If not, please relocate it. I wanna show you all some songs from Atomic Lemons, the rock band I play bass in. We're a Spanish alternative rock band, and we write our lyrics both in Spanish and English. We write and record the songs ourselves, so I'm sorry if the audio quality is not the best, but we're trying to improve it as much as we can! We're also on our way to the final of a contest called Musicaula, and you can help us win voting us by Facebook here: https://premium.easypromosapp.com/voteme/23633/617366156 You only have to click on the "votar" button, reenter your FB account and give a like to the page to help us. Thank you all very much! Now, here are the links to some of our songs: I Can't Sing: Tu Dinero En Mi Cartera: Niña De Bien: Paranoia: https://www.youtube....h?v=buFihki-p1Y These are just some, you can find more in our YouTube account! I hope you enjoy our music, and if you do, be sure to like us on YouTube and Facebook and follow us on Twitter! I'm afraid all of these are wrong, as the pieces you colored in 106 - Bright Orange should actually be 191 - Flame Yellowish Orange.

It's his own creation, but its structure and desing are heavily based in that of Nocturn, a titan set released along with the Barraki line.

Queen Beast has golden pieces, so I'm very sure that's also golden
-
Wait, then the 4M shell in Mungus' leg is alsp Dark Brown? That doesn't make any sense. I assumed they would be Reddish Brown because that color at least appeared in Ogrum, so giving us more pieces in that tone would have been really nice.

Funny how nobody's talking about that reddish brown HF chest armour on the mammut walker. The sets look weird. Just, weird. The armor, the weapons, the colors... weird /:

Actually, the golden parts in Queen Beast ARE golden in the episode as well (you can clearly see it on the crown, but also on the spikes of her staff), but the lighting of the cave makes them look black if you don't pay enogh attention. Also, yes, there is a blue-back jumper, in the Beast Queen set. I'm afraid the rest are too far away for me to make conclusions already, but they're looking better than the first wave.

Sorry for double posting, but it would be very helpful if someone could answer my question in the post above. -

Help please, everytime I try to download Pov Ray from it's website my antivirus shows up saying the exe file comes with a trojan! Has this happened to anyone else? Because if not it could just be by antivirus going crazy, but I don't wanna take any risks before knowing for sure. -
Being Brain Attack the only wave between those two, that doesn't mean a lot. But the new sets are looking awesome nevertheless, though I don't think I'll buy any of theam, at least for now.

I can't find Stringer anywhere in the video, can someone post an image of him? It's really bugging me, because for now we have only seen the same seven heros that appeared in Brain Attack. It seems that Stringer and Nex aren't as popular as we thought in the market, even though Stringer is my favourite.
