  1. I'm still betting on the $200 set being the Batman Returns Bat-Ski Boat. It's not a Batmobile, and it would fit in with the two vehicles we got for the 1989 movie, plus it could include the obvious lineup of Batman, Penguin, and Catwoman for its three minifigures.
  2. The Endgame final battle has a ton of characters that could potentially be included that would be great to see. For unmade characters/variants that could logically appear, there is: Captain America (Worthy) Bro Thor Hulk (Purple Costume) Hawkeye (Ronin) Nebula (Endgame) Rocket (Endgame) Captain Marvel (Second Endgame Outfit) Gamora (Endgame, but also doubles as the main GOTG1 outfit that never got made as a minifigure) Scarlet Witch (Infinity War/Endgame) Valkyrie (Main outfit, could also reuse winged horse from the Harry Potter sets as a bonus addition) War Machine (Mark 7) M'Baku Korg (Well, we now know we are getting this at least) Miek Howard the Duck (Probably not, but he did make a cameo, and would be a hilarious addition) Everyone else I can think of has already been made as a minifigure at some point, though many could be improved upon. Mark 85 Iron Man would be essentially guaranteed to be included in an Endgame set. This could potentially be one of the last opportunities for MCU Black Panther to show up in another set, though there isn't too much that could be done to change his 2018 variant. Maybe a purple charge effect to replace the inaccurate blue one from the 2018 Black Panther wave?
  3. I'm currently in the middle of rewatching Adventure Time, and it makes me continue to wish LEGO had made an actual line of minifigure scale sets for that license. The Dimensions packs were fun, but only provided a few minifigures between them, and the Ideas set just wasn't what I wanted. The series had so many distinct and colorful locations that could have made great sets, and a character roster that could easily fill out a CMF series, but LEGO just seemed to abandon doing anything for Adventure Time after 2017. I was hoping the HBO Max continuation series would encourage LEGO to revisit the license, but still not even a single rumor has materialized to my knowledge, which is quite disappointing. As someone who started watching Adventure Time in 2014 and even back then wanted LEGO sets based on the series, and was very excited by the first announcement of Adventure Time being in LEGO Dimensions, I've been quite underwhelmed thus far. This would also be something I'd be interested in seeing from LEGO.
  4. Currently, yes. I've never been able to attend previous SDCC events, and I am not willing to pay such high aftermarket prices for minifigures. The fact that this particular minifigure could be won for free without having to get into Comic Con is the only reason why I own it.
  5. While I wouldn't rule out getting yellow minifigures, I wouldn't be surprised if the students having crested jumpers in the Hogwarts Moments sets are the closest thing to anniversary minifigures we get this year, which seems like a good compromise considering the inconsistent set releases of the Harry Potter theme compared to Star Wars.
  6. As a winner of the raffle who owns this minifigure, I agree that it is pretty great. The lack of dual-molded legs is definitely a minus, and the possibility of potential damage means I will probably never take it out of the packaging. This is a nice collector's item to own, and it is the most valuable LEGO item I own (currently only rivaled by Diagon Alley), but I would never pay aftermarket prices for it.
  7. At this point, I can't think of anything too interesting that could be included in another Square Enix set, aside from a new Ms. Marvel (but they might just wait and do a MCU version instead once the show comes out), Abomination (Which seems unlikely, and I'd prefer a comic or MCU version anyway) If these Avengers sets are MCU related, I hope they finally take the opportunity to revisit past movies, especially ones that never got any sets or Endgame, which mainly had sets that had little to do with the movie. I very much hope that Spider-Man 3 gets an additional wave later, as three $20 sets (with one being a 4+ set) seems underwhelming compared to the Far From Home lineup, especially considering how many characters are rumored to be in the movie. Assuming the film has three Spider-Men and some form of the Sinister Six, that would require nine new minifigures across three $20 sets if there's only one wave. We'll probably have to wait until a trailer is released to get a better idea of what to expect from the sets though.
  8. That Unicorn bears a striking resemblance to Pony Head from Star vs. the Forces of Evil. Might just a coincidence, but it's weird how spot on the color scheme looks. I might get the figure just because of that.
  9. If the 2020 Diagon Alley set has sold well enough, I could easily see the other side of the alley becoming a set at some point. Without LEGO releasing information on sales, it's tricky to determine exactly how well the set sold. Either way, I'll almost certainly purchase anything LEGO puts out for this theme if they keep up the quality.
  10. I too would like to see an Asgard set, as it would look nice at the D2C price point, and there are many characters that could be included as minifigures. In addition to Heimdall and Odin, others that could appear in such a set could include Frigga, Sif, the Warriors Three, and generic Asgardian warriors, plus new variants of Thor and Loki. For antagonists, they could go with Laufey/Frost Giants (1st movie), Malekith/Kurse/Dark Elves (2nd movie) or Hela/Skurge/Berserkers/Fenris/Surtur (3rd movie). A lot of possibilities, only a few of which have been made by LEGO before, and would be unlikely to appear in a CMF for the most part. Bonus points if such a set featured Odin's vault, with the Tessaract, Casket of Ancient Winters, Eternal Flame, and fake Infinity Gauntlet, with a brick-built Destroyer guarding it. Alternatively, I would like the D2C to represent the final battle of Endgame in some way, whether it be a bigger Avengers Compound, the Sanctuary II, or even an Assault on Hoth-styled collection of various vehicles and brick-built creatures combined with bits of scenery, I'd be all for it if it meant getting new Endgame minifigures that the 2019 Endgame wave skipped over.
  11. My first thought was the Batman Returns Bat-Ski Boat to go with the 1989 vehicles, but I'm not sure how likely that is. Maybe it's a new Arkham Asylum or Wayne Manor? I'd be surprised if it wasn't something Batman-centric.
  12. Very difficult to say, seeing as Avengers Tower and the Helicarrier already just got sets last year, leaving no obvious options for such a large price point. From the MCU, I would want it to be an Endgame battle or Asgard set, but I would be highly surprised if it were either of those, seeing how LEGO hasn't demonstrated much interest in going back to making new sets for MCU movies after their release. Maybe it's something for Spider-Man 3? There's not enough information at the moment to determine what the set could be, and the D2C is an even bigger mystery.
  13. Just finished building the three Hogwarts Moments sets I ordered (Transfiguration, Charms, and Herbology). I like the sets more than I was expecting to, and the folding book function that all of them are centered around works neatly. Most of the minifigures aren't very noteworthy, with the crested sweaters being inaccurate to the movies (I am assuming/hoping they are a one-off for these sets. Perhaps they are meant to be an intentional throwback to the older sets for the 20th anniversary?) and Cedric and Cho being odd choices to represent their respective houses considering that the sets seem to be based off the earlier movies. McGonagall is the clear highlight of the minifigures, with CMF levels of detail that elevate it above every previous version. Year 1/2 Flitwick is also a good variant to have, though it would have been better if his hat was included. I now plan on getting the Potions set (the only one I didn't order) so I can have the full wave of sets, and I won't be complaining if LEGO decides to do more sets like these next winter, though I'd hope for more interesting minifigures.
  14. My LEGO order of three Hogwarts Moments sets plus the two GWP sets has arrived, and three days earlier than the latest tracking estimation gave at that. Building those should keep me busy for a while. The 2002 Basilisk was comprised of molded parts, and I believe it holds up better than the 2005 Hungarian Horntail despite being released three years prior. I think LEGO could do a brick-built version that's just as good or better if they use smart design work. One thing I felt the 2018 version did right was incorporating a ball-joint articulation system, which made it considerably more flexible than the 2002 version despite being a downgrade in practically every other catagory. If they could incorporate that articulation system into a larger and more detailed build (As least as big as the 2002 Basilisk, if not larger), perhaps with a newly molded head, then LEGO might potentially have something great on their hands.
  15. I think some creatures can be done well in brick-built style, while others need a mold to be done justice. The brick-built Basilisk in the Great Hall is definitely underwhelming, though I thought I heard a while back that it wasn't originally intended to be included, and was added to the set late in its development, which would explain why it seems so lacking. I think a larger brick-built version with more thought put into it would turn out far better. I do think the 2018 Aragog is an improvement over the previous two versions (especially the 2010 version), and the 2019 Hungarian Horntail is easy to modify to improve its appearance, plus its far more articulated than the 2005 version, which I personally felt suffered from its lack of movable legs or neck. I also think the beasts from the Suitcase set and the Grawp build are also pretty solid. I agree that the molded creatures are great and look pretty spot on to the source material. I think the brick-built style works for larger creatures, where the builds can be large enough to incorporate more texture and details, but molds should definitely be used for creatures that are Buckbeak/Thestral sized or smaller.
  16. My order for three of the Hogwarts Moments sets and the two GWP sets has shipped and is estimated to arrive on the 11th. Hopefully there are no delays.
  17. Good work! There is clearly a lot of thought put into these lineups and the accessories and I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO follows the pattern you found for a third series. I also agree with this though, as there are a decent number of figures that would be very likely to just show up in sets if we continue to get so many each year. If anything, I think that Year 2 Polyjuice variants of Harry, Ron, and Hermione would be more suitable for a CMF than the variants listed on the spreadsheet.
  18. The $250 set will certainly be a fun one to speculate on until we get more information. I think Hogsmeade seems like the most plausible option to me, but I could also see it being a Diagon Alley expansion or a Cloud City-style Ministry of Magic set. If the Durmstrang Ship gets a set next year, I would hope that they throw in notable GOF characters such as Rita Skeeter, Barty Crouch Sr., and Amos Diggory. None of those characters really have an obvious set they could be included in, but (with the possible exception of Skeeter) they wouldn't make very interesting CMF figures, and shouldn't need new molds anyways. Assuming this year is Deathly Hallows focused, I hope that we get new molds for Slytherin's Locket, Hufflepuff's Cup, and Ravenclaw's Diadem to add to the Horcrux lineup (I don't expect to see the ring show up anytime soon, unless a DH Dumbledore shows up in a third CMF series or something) Other good candidates for new molds include the Resurrection Stone, the Deluminator, Hermione's handbag, and the Ukranian Ironbelly's head.
  19. I'm definitely glad I made my order as early as possible. As neat as the Monster Book of Monsters GWP looks, I would not get it if I had to pay those aftermarket prices.
  20. I skipped the Potions set for now because the minifigure lineup was the least interesting to me, with the Herbology set at least having the Herbology outfits, which are nice to have more of. I still plan on getting the Potions set later on, but I don't need it right now.
  21. I managed to do the same. Very pleased that I was able to successfully get the order through with the two GWP sets added. I just wish I didn't have to spend so much time trying to place the order before it worked. Also Happy New Year! After a whopping 744 pages of discussion, now I suppose a 2021 discussion thread will have to be added. I wonder what the odds are that such a thread will reach a higher page count.
  22. Now LEGO's website just goes to a "service unavailable" page that states that an update is in progress. Hopefully it doesn't take long.
  23. These error messages are getting on my nerves. Hopefully the site allows me to purchase the sets soon.
  24. I'm glad that LEGO was willing to put in extra effort for the Eternals sets. If the Shang-Chi and Spider-Man 3 sets have comparable levels of detail, then 2021 will be an excellent year for LEGO Marvel.
  25. All good choices! Pomfrey, Skeeter and Scrimgeour seem more likely to show up in another CMF series if anything, so I am not expecting to see them next year, but I would be happy to be surprised. I am curious to see how many of the 2021 sets will be Battle of Hogwarts themed, as that would impact the amount of room for DH variants of characters such as Percy and Tonks.
