I'm really liking the design. If we get another Disney CMF next year, hopefully Owl (or Kanga and/or Roo) can be included there.

The latest post from Lego_Fulcrum seems to indicate that Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore will be the included characters of the set.

Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
spiderfan2000 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
There definitely is a lot of variety to be found across the sets. Granted, the upcoming June wave has no vehicles, and most of the sets are castle structures, though we do at least get the buildable Basilisk and Fluffy with those. I'm not sure what vehicles could plausibly show in the August wave, considering we've already gotten most of the prominent ones. The motorbike seems very unlikely to show up this year, as everything points towards no DH sets, and I'm not sure about the Durmstrang Ship's odds of appearing in August. A remake of the Hogwarts Express seems like the most likely option for a vehicle set this year, otherwise this could be the first year of the revamp line to not feature vehicles. -

Yep, I'm pretty sure that is him here at 00:32 most notably, and again at 00:57. He's also visible in the background throughout this scene. He was also prominently in a couple deleted scenes, so there's definitely reference material to work with. He even has his own interactive game on the DVD! -

Good point. If Warner Brothers ever releases the scenes Mayall filmed, that could increase the chances of LEGO using that design for reference if they ever want to include Peeves in the future. -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

My assumption would be that the pack is Quidditch themed, as torso prints for all four house Quidditch uniforms already exist, which would make their inclusion in a minifigure pack quite simple. I would hope they include an interesting character selection, but I could also see them going with Harry, Draco, Cedric and Cho. I don't care too much as long as it's an easier way of getting Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Quidditch uniforms. If one of the August sets ends up being a Quidditch Match remake (which is quite plausible, considering the 2018 set seems to be discontinued, and I think a Quidditch set is something LEGO would want to have available on shelves), a Quidditch minfigure pack would complement it well. As a note, if we get any buildable creatures for the August wave like some speculated, the only that seems plausible to me is a buildable Fawkes. Perhaps such a set could also include a minifigure scale Fawkes that's a new mold in a flying pose. I've already thought that a flying Fawkes could be included in the Great Hall/Chamber of Secrets set (especially because of the unoccupied translucent flight stand in the preliminary picture, which would make sense to have nothing on it if it was meant for a Fawkes that was not a preexisting mold, and wasn't yet finalized), but if they could include it in more than one set, it would make even more sense for LEGO to invest in a new Fawkes mold. As for the potential inclusion of book only characters, I think that Peeves has a chance at least. We got the Hogwarts Founders, who never physically appeared in the movies (or books for that matter) The appearance of a Peeves minifigure could be based on one of the mobile games, or Hogwarts Legacy if he appears in that. -

Not what I expected from a Marvel minifigure pack, but I'll probably still pick one up. Pork Grind is probably one of the most unexpected choices that's been done in the Marvel line so far, but considering how much LEGO likes Venom, perhaps I shouldn't have been so surprised. -

Personally, I think the Ministry of Magic is most in need of a set. Despite being a fairly prominent location in the later books/movies, we haven't gotten a single set taking place within it! I could see a D2C set of it being similar in structure to the Betrayal at Cloud City set, and incorporating the Atrium, the Department of Mysteries, and the Death Chamber. About 15-20 minifigures should be able to represent the climax of OotP well enough. As for Hogmeade, I could see the Hogs Head and the Shrieking Shack being individual sets at some point, and a remake of the Hogwarts Express could include Hogsmeade Station instead of King's Cross Station. That would get all the notable locations out of the way. -

Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Here are my last minute predictions: $29.99 Forbidden Forest (Based on first movie) Could include Harry, Draco, Disguised Quirrell, Firenze, and Fang $39.99 Quidditch Match (POA based, stands could be based on the versions from that movie with most of the decorations removed and the wooden frames exposed) Could include Harry, Angelina Johnson or Alicia Spinnet, Cedric Diggory (repeat of activity book minifigure), Michael McManus, 2 Dementors (or 1 Dementor and Dumbledore instead) $59.99 Borgin and Burkes (CoS based) Could include Harry (repeat from Diagon Alley), Hagrid (repeat), Lucius Malfoy (repeat), Mr. Borgin, Alley Witch $119.99 Gringotts (Only based on first movie, so no large vault/cart builds or dragon) Could include Harry (same as Diagon Alley and upcoming Advent Calendar version) Hagrid (another repeat) Griphook (potentially same as upcoming advent calendrer version), Head Goblin, 2 generic goblins $249.99 Motorized Hogwarts Express with Hogsmeade Station (Think Disney Train and Station, but a bit smaller) Could include GoF version of the Trolley Witch and Hogwarts Express Conductor, and potentially any variety of other characters. This is the most plausible anniversary wave I can come up with that where every set has something that could make it seem underwhelming to some people, whether it be repeated minifigures, obscure characters, potentially underwhelming builds, being remakes, or simply not being from the underrepresented later movies. Well, here's to hoping that we actually do get news of the August wave. -

We'll have to wait and see if this info has any truth to it. I hope it does, because the vague bits and pieces we do know about the August wave are making me very curious to learn more. As for Hogwarts Legacy, I'd have no issue with getting sets for that if it meant getting more beasts or an Azkaban. -

I mostly hope it's MCU based because the only things from the comics I would be excited for at that price point would be a Baxter Building or X-Mansion, which are probably years away from being considered viable options by LEGO. I guess a Daily Bugle could work for a comic Spider-Man set, but it would need a really impressive minifigure selection for me to be excited. If it included characters such as comic versions of Shocker, Hydro Man or Molten Man, classic Electro, bigfig Rhino, Black Cat, Morbius, Tombstone, Silver Sable, Kingpin, Hammerhead, Chameleon, or the Lizard, I'd be hyped. With LEGO's current track record with Spider-Man sets though, they'd probably just include Venom, Carnage, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Sandman, Vulture, and Mysterio. Again. -
That looks very cool!

Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
spiderfan2000 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Good question. Probably the closest comparison is how 2019 had a June wave with POA and GOF sets, but then there was an August wave consisting of another two GOF sets. Those could have even more easily been all put into a single wave, but they split it into two for no apparent reason. If they did another Quidditch Match set, I would really hope for it to be from POA, even if only for another source of Hufflepuff Quidditch uniforms. Plus a goggled Quidditch Harry with white mid legs would be very useful, considering the only source of white mid legs currently seems to be the Stranger Things D2C, which makes creating custom 3rd/4th year Quidditch players a huge pain. Also the stands were notably different in that movie. If they included a Dementor or two, that would also be great, as I can always use more of those. -

I'm continuing to think the August sets are more anniversary sets based on the vague statements that have been given. If that is the case, I wonder what other golden figures we could get. Dumbledore, Draco, Hagrid, Snape (bonus points if he gets a glow in the dark head), and perhaps McGonagall seem like the most obvious choices. Also if the set selection is more disappointing than the June one as Guyon seemed to imply, than that would continue to make me think more remake sets are imminent (most likely Hogwarts Express and/or Quidditch Match. If the Accessory Pack is Quidditch themed as some seemed to speculate, than it could tie into the release of a Quidditch Match remake, seeing as the 2018 one looks to have been sold out on LEGO's website for a while now. As a note, I wonder if we'll get a standard (non-Tom Riddle) Lord Voldemort in the August wave, as it seems odd if the gold one is the only one we get this year, considering his last appearance in the Rise of Voldemort set was in 2019, and also seems to be out of stock. I'm not sure what set he could come in though, assuming we're not getting anything from DH. Maybe a set of his duel with Dumbledore? If it only included a miniscule part of the Ministry, and had no other minifigures except Voldemort, Dumbledore, Harry, and a gold minifigure, I could see people being disappointed by it. -

Huh, you're right! It appears that the last Scarecrow and Bane we got was for the LEGO Batman Movie sets in 2017, and 2016 was Scarecrow's last appearance in the regular DC Super Heroes theme. Bane's comic variant minifigure last appeared in 2016 for LEGO Dimensions. New variants do seem overdue at this point. -

I decided to go ahead and rank the sets from 2018 onwards, divided by year. (Note I do not own the D2C Hogwarts Castle or the promo microscale Diagon Alley, so I did not include them in my rankings, and I am also not counting advent calendars, Brickheadz, polybags, or CMF series.) 2018: 1. Great Hall 2. Hogwarts Express 3. Quidditch Match 4. Newt's Suitcase 5. Whomping Willow 6. Aragog's Lair 7. Grindelwald's Escape 2019: 1. Clock Tower 2. Hagrid's Hut 3. Expecto Patronum 4. Rise of Voldemort 5. Knight Bus 6. Beauxbaton's Carriage 7. Hungarian Horntail 2020: 1. Diagon Alley 2. The Burrow 3. Astronomy Tower 4. Room of Requirement 5. 4 Privet Drive 6. Forbidden Forest 7. Hedwig 8. Monster Book of Monsters 2021 Hogwarts Moments: 1. Transfiguration 2. Charms 3. Herbology 4. Potions And just for fun, the 2021 Anniversary Wave (only going by preliminary pictures): 1. Hogsmeade 2. Myrtle's Bathroom 3. Great Hall/Chamber of Secrets 4. Forbidden Corridor -

I mean, I'm personally fine with it. I figured the Great Hall would get remade at some point, and I'm glad they at least found a way to keep this one looking distinct from the 2018 version, while still staying recognizable as the Great Hall. -

The ship is the Sanctuary II. I would definitely be interested in seeing LEGO's take on it, though we still don't have enough information to actually know what we're getting for the set lineup this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for something interesting! -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
spiderfan2000 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think that, if not this year, then next year seems very likely to feature more remakes. What I think is the top three most likely sets to be remade, are: 1: Quidditch Match 2: Hogwarts Express 3: Hagrid's Hut I can't picture LEGO not having a version of one of those available. Quidditch Match seems like the most likely to get remade first, as I think it's actually been discontinued as of this year if I'm not mistaken. I put Hogwarts Express as next most likely as it's not as recent of a set compared to Hagrid's Hut. Depending on what we get this year, I suspect next year might also have a set selection that could be considered underwhelming, if it ends up being mostly remakes and Fantastic Beasts sets. I do hope we get another CMF series next year, but I'd really want it to feature Fantastic Beasts characters and total 22 minifigures like the first series did. I feel like the second series suffered a bit for leaving out characters from Fantastic Beasts, especially the second movie, from which I've been waiting for more minifigures since 2018. And if a third series gets reduced to 12 slots, the minifigures would have to be really spectacular for me not to be underwhelmed. -

If I had to rate the sets based only on the preliminary images, I'd rate them: Bathroom: 7/10 Forbidden Corridor: 6/10 (Assuming the trio are in jumpers like the preliminary. If the trio are in their casual outfits from the scene , bump it to 7/10) Hogsmeade: 9/10 Great Hall/Chamber of Secrets: 7/10 -

Good catch. The Erumpent build was a pretty good one, and it this modified version seems to work well for Fluffy. I'm mostly glad that they went with molded heads. I don't think brickbuilt heads would have worked as well. I thought it was already confirmed that Harry at least was confirmed to be a repeat of the Diagon Alley bonus minifigure. Ron and Hermione's calendar variants are unknown, but while they could be based on the Stone challenge scenes, I personally feel that it's more likely they go with the outfits from the Hogwarts Express scene to go with the Harry. Oof, that must be frustrating. I had sort of assumed when the CMF came out that they were going to use those parts for sets later on, so I held off on getting multiples, but I did seriously consider it for a while. -

Some more detailed thoughts on the sets after getting to look at them more closely: The Bathroom: Looks like a pretty decent build overall. The stall is a good inclusion, and the sink build looks pretty spot on. I can't tell if it's designed to open in any way, but it probably wouldn't be difficult to modify if not. The enclosed design of the set is rather unique compared to the other Hogwarts expansion sets we've gotten recently. It's clearly designed to fit something on top of it. The minifigure selection is good, as I had been hoping to see these variants of the trio in the last CMF series, so I'm glad to finally get them now. A representation of Crabbe and Goyle in the line has been long overdue. I'm assuming that the anniversary minifigures will all have crested jumpers instead of the regular jumpers shown in the preliminaries. Hopefully the molded cat head for Hermione turns out well enough, as it's too unfinished in the pictures to properly judge. I just really hope a tail piece is included. Forbidden Corridor: Looks like an okay build, but Fluffy is the clear highlight. The molded heads work well with the brickbuilt body. The harp is also a good inclusion. The castle build looks like it might detach in the middle, which could be interesting. I do hope the Devil's Snare room is somehow part of the interior, but based on the size of the build, it looks like Fluffy's Room would have to take up the whole bottom section, which would leave no room for the Devil's Snare. Hopefully there's at least a working trap door, even if we have to wait for a future set to provide the room it leads to. I really hope the preliminary versions of the trio shown here are not what will be included in the set, as I really want the casual outfits they wore for this part of the movie, and getting repeats of the same jumpers would be disappointing. Hogsmeade: I wasn't sure what to expect of this set when I learned of the price point, but the two buildings manage to look great and substantial enough to be, in my opinion, the best looking set of the wave. It looks like there's plenty of detail incorporated throughout the set. Rosmerta is a good inclusion, and as obscure as the Flumes are, I'm glad they're included to make Honeyduke's look less empty. Getting new variants of McGonagall and Dean is also a plus. I just hope Harry is a different variant from what the picture show. I already have three of that version from the 2019 sets. Great Hall+Chamber of Secrets: Well, the Great Hall is definitely a downgrade from the 2018 version, and the Staircase Tower doesn't really resemble the source material too well. That said, the Chamber of Secrets looks to be a reasonably substantial part of the build, and it looks like the castle sections might be designed to detach from the Chamber sections, which would be a great feature. The Basilisk looks like the best version yet from LEGO, and while I was personally hoping for the 2018 version's level of articulation to be incorporated, this one looks far better. I do hope that a flying Fawkes is included, as that would really complete the scene. As for minifigures, Harry isn't really noteworthy, and Ginny is more noteworthy for being the first Hogwarts jumper variant of her since 2010. Colin and Justin are good inclusions, and I'm glad they were included over another Ron and Hermione. Nick seems to be the same, so eh. I'm glad to see the orange variant of Lockhart. I'm glad that Tom Riddle is included, as I did not buy the book he was previously included in. Sinistra opens up the door for other obscure Hogwarts staff to be included in future sets. The preliminary shows Dumbledore as being the Clock Tower version, which will almost certainly not reflect his actual appearance in this set. It is worth noting that preliminary Dumbledore is shown to be hatless unlike the Clock Tower version, so perhaps we'll finally get the Dumbledore hairpiece in white. Overall, a solid lineup of sets in my opinion. I intend to purchase them all at some point. I just hope the August sets will have good quality builds, even if they're not Deathly Hallows sets.
