Ah I didn’t realise that. Suppose that makes more sense then. Still a fairly uninspiring promotion imo -

Personally a yellow skinned figure has zero appeal for me, is there anyone on here that is excited at the prospect?? The 20th Anniversary is for TPM, so surely more fitting would be some new and exclusive characters from the relatively under-represented film. Characters like Handmaiden Padme, Queen Amidala (black, purple, grey etc), Shmi Skywalker, Boss Nass, Finis Valorum, Mas Amedda, Lott Dod, Rune Haako, Sio Bibble, Oppo Rancisis, Depa Billaba, Rum Sleg, Naboo Royal Guard, Senate Guard, Naboo Soldiers etc etc. I know that sounds wishlisty, and maybe we will get a couple of these characters in 2019, but the idea of a yellow skinned figure being the ‘exclusive’ element to the minifigs is underwhelming and pretty lazy and unimaginative from Lego, imo. -

You’re probably aware but Firestar toys do a great Merrick head with visor - if you can it’s well worth picking up to complement this figure -
Oh I've only sourced one pair so far ;) Here's what they look like anyway:

I use the Boomerang legs - just need to remove a little printing. Can’t understand why these dual-moulds weren’t used in the BACC set, but hey ho...

Perhaps they don't want to scare all the 4yo's with a Luke that resembles Sloth form the Goonies!... here's hoping they've just decided to sack off the new rebel helmet mould all together, on the grounds of it looking ridiculous ;) Likelyhood is that they don't want to compromise the "exclusivity" of the helmet's in the 75218 X-Wing though. -

Yeah must say I’m baffled by the decision to produce a brick built Dewback - the existing mould would’ve been far more appealing to any age group imo. With these sets overall though, I suppose Lego sees a rare opportunity to focus on its youngest market with the absence of any current SW film, so while some of its a little underwhelming, it does make some sense. -

So excited for Tantive iV - don’t own any of the previous models so can’t wait to get my hands on it. Disapponted not to see any detailing below the waist on the trooper tho :/ -

That would look great - you could use the Katana (DBG) or Spiderman (Dark Blue) legs instead of you wanted to - black with red dual-mould boots would’ve been cool tho, alas... Having seen a second figure I’d be suprised if any skirt pieces are included - will give Lego benefit of the doubt that it’s a decision based on playability ? -

Seems strange given they used the skirt piece for the throne room set - perhaps one of the guards need to be able to sit and ride whatever vehicle they cook up for them. I hope at least one of the guards in the set uses the skirt piece -

Looks like a new dual-moulded Stormie helmet mould is on the horizon. Looks decent but would’ve preferred some better printing around the hips tbh. -
You can imagine an Eopie being represented in an Obi-Wan anthology, should it ever transpire, so who knows!? I’d file the Ronto with Ephant Mon tho I reckon ;)

Lots of chat on the Set Discussion thread about moulded creatures... The one iconic creature that's obviously overdue is the Bantha, but I'm sure that will be released sooner or later. Other than that, there's the Acklay, Nexu and Reek from AOTC - a Master Builder Geonosis Arena set in 2022 perhaps ;) A re-release of the Boga from ROTS. It's a shame the Rathtar's body wasn't moulded (I would of been more inclined to buy the set!), but that ship's probably sailed now. The only 'big figure' I can think of is Grummgar from TFA - would love to see a set inside Maz's castle with him and Bazine Netal included. Possibly Ephant Mon from ANH, but I'll eat my hat if that ever appears! That's all that really stands out from the films...

I think they’d miss a trick if it wasn’t - my 4yo (and lots of kids his age) is obsessed with the Lego dinosaurs, so if they’re trying to entice a younger age bracket into the SW theme, a big green quadruped that compliments his existing collection of dinosaurs would definitely catch his eye more than a brick built one. Anyway, be interesting to see what they go with... -

Is it a Juniors/4+ set? if so I’d imagine it will be one mould - maybe with detachable legs, possibly head(jaw)/tail etc - a bit like the Jurassic theme. With 20ish pieces for a builable saddle. Seems odd to deviate away from an already brilliant Dewback mould with a fully builable version. Unless that’s been confirmed anywhere!? -

...that is pretty dull and underwhelming to be honest - is anyone really interested in yellow SW figures!? -

Lego have olive green and black dual-moulds in production as well, strange not to use them for Gree here :/ -

Any thoughts on the May 4th ‘Villain Ship’ might be? (albeit spelt wrong on that list?!) -

...because of it’s pending inevitability!?! ?? Surely a no-brainer - can you imagine how quickly these would fly off the shelves. An opportunity to release exclusive figures and characters that perhaps don’t easily fit into any particular set - and furthermore ones that could compliment existing sets to actually promote sales and reignite a stuttering line!?! Perhaps I’m being naively optimistic but I reckon it’s gonna happen at some point ?? -
Ha yes them the ones. I have them on a FO officer and Republic Captain. They look great - imagine they’ll look sweet on Lando as well...
-
I noticed that watching the film a few weeks back. Have you considered the NYPD Officer legs on the figure!?!?

Actually a dewback and bantha with brick built saddles, with a stormie and tusken would make a perfect Juniors dual Microfighter set! I would buy my 4 year old several of those!! ;) -
In August!!?!... jeez ? My kids will be quizzing my hypocrisy again extra early this year, as to why I have an advent calendar and why I’m allowed to open it early! haha Looking forward to picking up a few Guavian figs as well as Merrick
