Great job Holodoc! I really like the new look And welcome into the great world of vectorial designers as well. It may seem difficult to handle at the beginning, but you soon dicover that the advantages are many Btw, did you print it directly from the Corel file, or did you export it into another format? And if you exported it, which resolution did you use (I normally export into .png at 600 dpi)? LuxorV

Best way to use white in decals?
LuxorV replied to hicksdesign's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hi hicksdesign, welcome to Eurobricks! It's a common problem when starting the decals' deigner work: you need to find the right colours' chart for your job. If you take a look at the one shown in this topic, you'll notice that the trick is to use not white, but white-ish. In fact, as you probably know, white is read as clear (or non-print) by most printers/programs. So, you have to give it just a hint of grey to get it printed. As far as we have seen in the past years from various decal designers and users, the white-ish listed in the chart is matter-of-factly unrecognisable from actual white. Hope this helps you, and will be waiting to see your designs LuxorV -

I don't know what you mean by 'small bricks and such'; we just prefer membrs to enjoy the forum and simply report any strange or 'bad' situation to the Staff. The print size for a 1x4 tile is 0.32' x 1.26' (0.8 x 3.2 cm). As for requesting decals for bricks, there is no problem with that; it's only not very frequent. I did some brick decals myself, and I don't see anything wrong in it. So please do not take back your requests only because they are about bricks and not minifigures LuxorV

I understand your feelings, but please don't take this as a personal matter. Many people who started making decals here last year are now very busy with other IRL questions; and many of us would more likely leave those apart to spend more time on our hobby. We had a similar low time about 10-12 months ago, with a lot of requests and very few designers available. I'm sure things will get moving again. On the other hand, the MCW is more to encourage new customisers to start working on their own designs than to fullfil requests (which is an important contribustion, nonetheless). So, if you feel willing to try, you can look in the Index and read the tutorials to start making your own decals, and maybe fill the current vacancies in our decal designers' lines @ broomhandle - thank you for the will to help. Nonetheless, even if it may take a short time for us to notice things all around the forum, we prefer to avoid mini-modding by members; the Staff are here to solve the everyday questions on EB. If you are willing to help, do this by using the 'report' button (within reason: 10 reports a day may be a little too much ). Thank you for your co-operation LuxorV

When has it ever been? Last I know of an 'Italian' language spread everywhere, it was Latin. LuxorV -

I agree, he tried to create the 'next generation' English, but somehow failed in the commercial campain. Moreover, UK people are quite fond of their traditional systems (spelling, measurements and so on) and it will take more than a couple of centuries to blend the two spellings. Now, if Italian were the international language... LuxorV -
In the end, I think that with avatar, signature, profile information and direct knowledge, it is quite easy to recognise girls from boys. Don't you agree? LuxorV

Looks very good, Holodoc! Are you looking for a Customiser badge next to your StarTrek one? LuxorV

Glad we could fullfil this request in advance; I feel almost like I used a time machine LuxorV

Hi there Big Cam, I can give you my word that the name of the forum is 100% original English. It was 'Customization' in the past, but then I changed it into 'Customisation' to keep it in line with a wide variety of topics in that forum which use UK English titles and generally spelling. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer this form; 'feels' more smooth to me. Fell free to refer to it in the way you prefer, or simply use the acronym MCW LuxorV -
I kenw this would have come I learnt my lesson time ago! I just had 5 (litteraly) free minutes, Photoshop at hand, and a crazy little impulse to do some color replacements. They don't even look good and are low quality, in the end Now I'll go to a secret desert locality untill I know I'm safe again LuxorV

Naruto Manga/Anime Decals project
LuxorV replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks for the feedback so far! Sshh... Yes, it is. Just don't tell it around I knew I was missing some headband variations somewhere! I'll add an Headband Collection later and maybe an update on the old decals, too As for Naruto's pupils, in the Kyuubi version he has plain white (with insania) eyes, and the other one is the ermit mode, where he has horizontal pupils. A Kyuubi-with-pupils version may come later on LuxorV -
Eurobricks member and customiser tin7 shows us his most difficult custom creations up to date: Ash Ketchum and Pikachu from the Pokémon Manga/Anime series. What makes this customs so incredibly great is the magnificent use of Sculpey to create new elements like Ash's hairpiece and Pikachu, which is completely genuine Sculpey! (Click on the image to see more details and join the discussion)

Great job, tin7 At the beginning, I thought you modded a LEGO rat to make Pikachu, but I see you made it/him completely out of Sculpey! Congratulations! LuxorV
