A little homage to one of the best writer there is
LuxorV replied to yellost's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Great work, yellost! the resemblance is really impressive Now, to fill your lacunes you just need to look here . LuxorV -
And now, after seeing yellost inspirative work about Terry Pratchett, and after reading ImperialShadows' comment there, I felt the call to make the LEGOised version of the one and only very English Sci-Fi writer [drum roll]: Douglas Adams Fisrt of all, a pic of Adams in his youth And second a bit aged Adams with his inevitable cup of tea In this case the resemblance is not as perfect as in yellost's, but I think it came out quite well Comments are welcome LuxorV

Nice idea, TheBrickster I see you're picking up some great old MOCs from Brickshelf for this. That DryNile one is one of my favs LuxorV

Hello again Oswald, I'm not aware of the existence of a 'How to paint Minifigs' tutorial (one of the things to improve in the new Index, I guess), but you may want to look here to see what other members had to suggest on this matter to aayla-secura, when he wanted to paint some hair-pieces. For the future, please look more carfully in the older topics (maybe even use the 'Search' function) before starting a new one. Thanks LuxorV

Neat design, Atlack! I like the use of the solid plastic wheel for the jet . LuxorV

Hi Oswald, it's nice to see new people on EB, expecially new people interested in Decals and Minifig Customization. Nontheless, we also like EB members to try and post with correct grammar and spelling. This is supposed to be an Adult Fans of LEGO site. Now, this is not meant to exclude younger fans; but we require them to follow some basic rules. Please make sure to post correctly in the furure. Thanks for your collaboration Now, to answer your questions: I don't use decal paper myself, so I can't tell you how to apply them from personal experience. For now, you can look here in the Index and in this discussion. You may find useful information about that topic. We are planning some updating for the MCW, and it will include updating the Index. Of course this will include creating a clear Tutorial about How to aplly decals. The work is in progress Hope this helps. LuxorV

Ok, the name of the character is already useful help. It's now on my 'to do' list LuxorV

Very nice concept, fallentomato I'd say red, since they'd match the arms better. I'll be waiting to see the final version LuxorV

Could you please be a bit more precise? Any reference pic ? Sorry for the late answer, Eased. We don't have a Castle Decals Index, for now. Nonetheless, thanks to the new role the Staff kindly gave me, I can promise you a Decals Themes Index (just a try-title for now) is on the way LuxorV
-
Quite funny indeed, Tim's expecially. I'd like to see a similar feature for other themes, too LuxorV

I saw this one on your MOCpages yesterday, and I must say I like it, both in concept and realization. What I find most intersting, from the bricks' usage point of view, is how you chose the Support 2 x 2 x 10 Girder Triangular Vertical (BrickLink terminology ) to make the reinforced concrete. Great idea LuxorV

Sorry to vanify your attempt, but the guys seem to find this game very interesting, so I'll have to save it somehow . What about a White Hole to take things back from your Black Hole? LuxorV

I already posted this in the EBNews interview (random advertising): my wooden LEGO container (made by my father and one of my uncles) It has always been in my room from as long as I can remember, and now it's beginning to be a bit too small for my whole collection (I usually take apart all my models after a while, and storage pieces there for future MOCs)... The pieces that can't be put in it anymore are now stored in standard plastic tool boxes, used wooden spumante boxes, emptied ice-cream boxes and 3 old Toa canisters Finally, I'm considering a re-organization of the collection with a more homogeneous method LuxorV

Interview about Eurobricks by Hinckley
LuxorV replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
Nice interview! It's great they started their Interview feature with EB ; even if it seems they intended more to underline the past leakers' story than to focus on the other aspects of our community... Five strawberries out of five from me too (or is it time to change to someother fruit? ). LuxorV -
Neat abandoned mech scene It somewhat reminds me of the Iron Giant, mainly for the disconsolate look of its one-eyed face. LuxorV

Fabuland Review: #3605 / #324 Ricky Raccoon and His Scooter
LuxorV replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great review of a great little set I'm proud to own myself Thanks for sharing ImperialShadows, and for bringing back the old FBG spirit yet again LuxorV -
Hi pjibid, can you please clearify your request? Do you mean ideal granma and granpa, or do you have some reference pics of the ones you want in particoular ? Thanks LuxorV
-
Very nice scene, indeed LuxorV

Here is mine (the legs are OK in DarkBlueishGrey too) Thanks for the invitation, btw. LuxorV

Good to see you like them, people Oh, thanks; I wasn't too sure about the accuracy of the dragon head... You know, I don't print all the decals I make, so I always wait for the final users' comments to know if they are as good as I hope they are As for your English, it seems pretty good to me. It's not my mother language either, and one of the reasons why I joined EB was to improve my English by using it on an almost daily basis LuxorV

Thanks for the review, PMJ! I'll think seriously about this one. LuxorV

Thanks for the enthusiastic comments, guys Here are some other requests of these days: Gordon SWAT torso, with SWAT symbol for the left arm (from The Dark Knight) Gordon normal (TDK) Jocker (TDK) Both Gordon normal and Jocker are based on custom MFs pics Aayla-Secura provided. If anybody can tell me who the original author of these customs is, I'll be happy to give him/her credit Mutt jacket simplified (hope this is what you wanted, Pencoin ) LuxorV
