  1. Was hard to tell from the photo posted above, but having watched the video it is a pair of half thick liftarms.
  2. Front of the frame where the fork assembly will later attach. LBG piece just below the yellow 3L axles. Edit: having just watched the video it looks like it's just a pair of the old half thickness 4L liftarms with + holes in the ends.
  3. Looks great, much better than I expected after the disappointing Yavin set. Will be getting it for sure as I missed out on the original Rebels one.
  4. Seems Lego didn't learn from last year's Optimus Prime "leak"
  5. Finally some pictures of this set, and good ones at that. Looks great overall, like that they included a sidestand which the M1000RR was missing. Only complaint is the 4x8 Yamaha plaque on the display stand, wish it was a 8x16 info plaque like the BMW has. Surely Lego knows that a lot of people would want to display both 1:5 bikes together?
  6. Don't care about any of the builds but we all knew these were coming. No cloth pauldron for Boba is slightly disappointing but understandable due to the need to fit the minifig in the mech. Still great to see an OT Boba minifig again, especially with arm printing. Looks to have a new face print too, likely similar to the face on the recent repainted Boba minifig but without the scars. Guessing we will see this minifig again if the UCS Sail Barge is released next year? Vader is just the same printed arm Vader we already have, great minifig but at this point most who want it already have it. Stormtrooper looks as expected, dual molded helmet on the trash compactor torso+legs. Not sure why they changed them when they are still using the 2019 style prints for the scout and snow troopers. Not great for armybuilding - slighty cheaper than a battlepack but only 1 minifig :( Will be interesting to see how well these sell. The Marvel mechs must be popular if they are still making them, and now doing Star Wars versions. I think the Boba one will fly off shelves just because of the minifig but not sure about the other 2.
  7. Hope not, $100 seems too small to do the Ghost justice
  8. They have been doing this for at least 2 years now. My UCS AT-AT and lightsaber GWP were in seperate boxes. It's probably easier for them to ship these big sets on their own than to try packaging them together with other items without them damaging each other inside the box.
  9. Doubt that will happen. This has been an issue from the start with Disney Star Wars. Remember the original Kylo shuttle with it's inaccurate colouring and wings that didn't swing outwards, or Thrawn's rank insignia?
  10. Thought so, our Auckland NZ store only opened in 2019 so figured the Australian stores weren't much older.
  11. Old decals they had sitting around? Did Australia even have Lego stores back in 2012?
  12. Executor was only in stock for about 2 hours when it became available for Aus & NZ, and the coin GWP didn't last much longer.
  13. They were available when the promo first went live but sold out in a few hours.
  14. May 4th promo is now live for Aus & NZ. There's no 5x points on specific sets like EU/USA but you can spend 100 points to get discounts on the UCS Razor Crest and Gunship, Boba throne room, Kenobi duel and Justifier. Discounts work out to be roughly 18% off each set. Personally I'd prefer this over 5x if I was buying any of those sets this week, as the discount applies at the time of purchase instead of having to wait for your next purchase to spend the points.
  15. It doesn't seem to be selling very well in Aus/NZ either. Our licensed Lego stores had triple points on it for a couple of days late October and then 30% off for cyber monday. Not sure why, at Aus/NZ retail prices it's better value for money than the UCS Falcon and AT-AT. I wonder if the fan designed customs impacted sales for this set? Jerac, RichboyJhae and Papaglop's MOCs were popular for a couple of years so a lot of people who wanted a UCS Razor Crest would have already built one of them instead of waiting for an official set that we thought would never happen as every previous UCS set was based on content from the 6 George Lucas films.
  16. I think the last cloth kama was the airborne clone with Grievous' starfighter in 2020?
  17. With the fighter twinpack having 2 starfighters that weren't even on screen at the same time, and the spider mech missing the Grievous-like cyborg the Season 3 sets have been quite a let down so far. Probably more Lucasfilm's fault than Lego's but disappointing either way. Might have had some better minifigs if they had done that, Jerjerrod and/or Piett. And the Fang fighter could have still been released on it's own as a seperate set.
  18. It's one of the most popular and iconic prequel era vehicles so I would expect Lego to make a UCS version eventually, but I don't expect it to happen until after the current playscale one has been discontinued. Unlike the Razor Crest, Falcon and AT-AT the playscale version isn't significantly undersized for minifig scale so if they had both playscale and minifig scale UCS available at the same time the 2 sets would be competing with each other. I'm not sure if that's still the case judging by some of the more recent sets. RichboyJhae's AT-AT on Brickvault has about 600 less pieces than the official version, while it does lack the leg articulation the 2 models are pretty much the same size and both have full interiors. The official UCS Razor Crest also has significantly more pieces than the fan designed versions though admittedly is also bigger.
  19. I'd add the TIE bomber, Hoth AT-ST and BD-1 to that list. Somewhat true for Star Wars as the big D2C sets have been consistently good to great for several years, the last bad one was Assault on Hoth back in 2016. But that's not the case for Lego in general when you look at sets like last years Hulkbuster, Black Panther bust and Ideas football table.
  20. GWPs look reasonably good for what they are so I don't hate them like some people do, but it is a bit of a letdown after what we got last year. Lars kitchen really was the best of both worlds having both a build and a minifig.
  21. If it's not a minifig or build then it could be a metal keyring like the beskar ingot or carbonite Han. Or maybe a poster/print like they did for the Landspeeder last year?
  22. It's a very small difference, about 0.03mm according to my digital calipers. Tiago Catarino explains it in this video.
  23. Think it always has been? It's an illegal technique if you use plates but tiles are fine. Tiles are slightly thinner than plates so they don't put as much stress on the brick/plate they are attached to.
  24. Seeing better quality photos of the new UCS X-Wing, I have to agree that the oversized nose and fuselage are disappointing. The oversized 6x6 engine intakes are a bit easier to accept given that the old 4x4 intakes were too small and 5x5 would likely require several new parts.
  25. Don't even have to go back that far. Look at the box art on UCS sets in the few years just before the black 18+ boxes, 2017 Falcon, 2018 Y-Wing and 2019 ISD. Those graphics with the black borders were the peak of UCS box art IMO.
