It was only going to be the functions like lights roof and suspension that would be motorised. There is not enough space for motorised steering and power I'm trying to keep it around the size of 42083 Thanks for the info I have made an account I'll post pictures later

The instructions are now available through Rebrickable Here This my attempt to distil features from all my favourite Lego Super cars into one. Nearly all of them have steering, suspension, engine and gear box so these are the other features I’m trying to incorporate with a few extras of my own. 8860: Car Chassis – Chassis view (all the body work can easily be removed for a full chassis only model) 8865: Test Car – Pop up head lights, adjustable seats (sadly was no room for this feature) 8880: Super Car – 4-wheel drive and steering 8448: Super Street Sensation – Automatic doors, Convertible and modular build 8070: Super Car - motorised functions 42056: Porsche 911 GT3 RS – Sequential gear box and Orange! 42083: Bugatti Chiron – 8 speed gearbox Additionally, I have added adjustable ride height and a motorised roof Pictures of the chassis and body panels her are links to the motorised functions Suspension Roof Bonnet Lights More images https://bricksafe.com/pages/Cardboy/super-car-mrk-3 It is based loosely on the 42083 floor-plan as the gear box and shifter are nicely placed and allowed a route for the 4 wheel steering. I used jb70’s layout for the gear box (in the pimp my Bugatti thread) as I have never been good with ratios but heavily modified the casing and redesigned the gear limiter. I hope you like and please let me know what you think of the model or any questions you may have.

looking at the pic and the old 9398 they look very close in design I would guess only front wheel steering and a live axle design -

42099 is calling to me :D even more so if the colour scheme from the pic is the final one. Beefed up suspension and joints, black wheel arches a good amount of Control+ (hope one motor is a servo) and black rims as I seem to only have grey in that size. Maybe some other surprises (fingers crossed) The control+ Battery box is it around the same size as the power functions? I have a feeling it's larger. Also the motors do we think they will be studs as well or pure pin connections? -

AA batteries are a pain but I think there are a few reasons Lego went for them. 1 Available everywhere so good for markets outside of USA / Eurpoe 2 Lion batteries don't last for ever and would need replacing most small Lithium batteries are custom made and so replacing them in the future could be a problem, Lego would need to supply them and that's against their ethos of it always being compatible. 3 Lithium can go boom also some countries don't like you even shipping them (Lego does not want a law suite of a kid losing a finger) Side note, the crawler will it have a servo motor or will the return to centre be done by the app? -

I hope there is also a physical controller for the motors using a touch screen really does not give you much fine control. Also as the video looks a bit washed out is it dark or light grey? -

Only problem Sariel and Jim have not posted their reviews of the 42088. If some one has an ETA on them I'll take that -

Does anyone have the part list for the 42088 or the parts that are now in orange? -

I think using the bucket wheel parts for the front splitter has caused no end of problems for the front of the Porsche too much front overhang. Looking at the video 0:36 interesting they have a built up around the rear diff is this something on GT cars like the F1 plank to stop them running to low or Lego stopping the suspension travel as they did not limit the shocks? I know the 42088 is a lazy recolour but it want it more than the original as it has some parts in colours i need -

Yes but is surprises me that it was so unpopular that Lego feel it will save them money to not make it, rather than let it run for its full 2 years. -

The Corvette still looks a better representation than that abomination that is the Porsche front end the diffuser looks like one not just a semicircle of plastic. Also I like how they have used the MAC design for the engine so you can have more than two cylinders. Also 3 black curved panels are nice, lots of small orange beams too. -

I'm afraid all the arches are printed I was viewing the video on my large high res screen and you can clearly see all the stickers on the other panels, the arches have no signs of stickers and they even have a mat finish compared to the gloss of stickers -

If the Corvette is $49.99 that the same as the 42075 which is £34.99 in the UK then then a retail reduction of probably between 10 -15% after a few months this will be flying of the shelves. -

From the blurry images I have seen the Corvette has got my attention Hopefully it's in the same orange as the 42056 and other sets of late I will have a nice amount of orange now. As I understand the 1H wave is launched all about the same time with only the Flagship model a few months later? The Stunt Racer looks like it has the old power functions and the old power functions logo is used. -

The corvette would that not be a new licence agreement? It's not a brand of the Volvo or VW group who Lego have been partnered with. I would push for your first collaboration to be a flagship set for brand prestige? I like my Technic cars but I hope that RSR is distinctive from the GT3 as 911 range quite subtle and this hard to do in Technic. At this price point can it be a cost effective alternative to the GT3? I would not be surprised if these two sets could be swapped over. -
42083 - Bugatti Chiron
Cardboy replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I Finished building mine last night was very impressed how smooth the car rolls and changes gear you can defiantly see the lack of a centre dif as if you hold the front wheel and turn the back wheel then let go of the front alto of torque has built up and the clutch ring has not really done its job. As I'm from the UK ever Lego car gets the right hand mod normally this involves moving a few linkages around but on this on its going to be a full rebuild I think as the shifter is asymmetric into the gear box and the whole assembly around the the gearbox is asymmetric I think i will have to try and mirror the whole of the first book to do it -

Yeah been waiting for a discount too, I feared when John Lewis got the exclusive we would not see one at all. I was not expecting 25% so soon thought I would have to wait till a Black Friday like they did for the Porsche not staring at my order tracker they say 2pm today for collection I'm hoping sooner
