  5. Looking forward to check this beauty out!
  6. This was also one of my favorite sets as a kid. Actually the whole western line was. So most excellent job on the re-make!
  7. Now and then an Afol's memories drift back to childhood. And remembering those fun sets can result in a re-make. Just like Swan Dutchman did with set 6761. And he did it in a wonderful way! Check out more photo's in History Forum!
  8. Maxim, bit late to the party, but i should be able to come to brickmania!
  9. Love the landscaping in this as well! Also nice base and figs! And above all, it's good to show that you don't always have to build Nocturnus things although it's your home guild!
  10. Good to see something in bricks now! I agree on the fig, the beard does suit him very well. The anvil looks a bit out of place though, so I also think that should be a brick build one.
  11. This is truly eye candy! The color scheme is brilliant and I'm especially fond of the roof!
  12. The last three years I've been promoting GoH in Skearbeak. And this year Rolli and Jonas are joining, so I hope it will be awesome
  13. Why 4x3 leaves in purple?! We need those in Dark Green first!
  14. Noted! As I enjoy building figs even more than MOC's! CMF GoH contest.........
  15. We've seen some of Pate-keetongu's dwarves on the frontpage already. But he finally completed all of them, so feast your eyes on the whole bunch! Check out more photo's in History Forum!
  16. Exactly! If I were you I'd just put the advice given to good use! And I must agree with most of the things said above. Like you said yourself, you've made it in just 10 minutes. Which I can't take serious either. Take your time with this one. You got two months and you're already posting a "prototype" within the first three hours. If you browse the other subforums you can get some more inspiration and you can also see that none of them are grainy like the one you've made. And about Paint.net. I use it all the time. It's really powerful enough to create an awesome banner!
  17. GoH Banner Design Contest We are in need of a new banner for our beloved Guilds of Historica Forum and we are giving you all a change to design one! So put your bricks aside, not for too long of course, and put your artistic skills to good use! The 'rules' are as follows: 1. Banners should include the EB logo and preferably (not mandatory) as well as our slogan. 1.1 Logo examples, resized and padded properly, one should be placed in the first 140px of your banner. Feel free to make adjustments to the brick colour if you think it would be appropriate. 1.2 The font can vary depending on the theme of the banner, but the slogan has always been the same. Eurobricks Uniting LEGO® Fans Around the World 2. Banners need to be saved as PNG files to avoid jpeg compression. Source files should be kept along the way if possible. Keeping those files allows for potential future adjustments. 3. We tend to use 800x100px or 900x100px for banners and backgrounds, but 1000x100px would also be acceptable. The banner and the background must be the same size and able to be displayed seamlessly, meaning that the background fits on the end of the banner and can be repeated with itself if necessary. The easiest way to achieve this is to make sure that the banner and background pattern start and end with matching patterns, like the example below. In this case, the background would actually be displayed 2 times on an average monitor. Here is how it looks next to the banner. Here is how it looks next to itself. For a user with a screen resolution that is over 1600 wide, this would mean that the banner would appear, followed by the background and another part of the background. 4. Post your banner and background in this topic before November 1st. 5. Max. two entries per member. And you can only submit if you're a contributing member! 6.The winner will be determined by popular vote! Show us what you got and your banner could be shining on top of the forum!
  18. Definitely, as it's done amazingly well. I admire the patience you'll need for this stuff!
  19. I do get that it's frustrating to see your beloved forum being overflown by posts that are derailing the general topic. And I can see your not the only one who's thinking like that. But as Behemoth said, he'll adapt. So let's leave it at that for now and stop with this negative vibe. Enjoy the Guilds as we always have done. Challenge III is almost up, so Behemoth can show us how he's going to put everyone's advice to good use!
  20. It's good to have story up like this. But it seems all a bit to advanced to me. It almost sounds a little steam-punkish. I would really like to see that you did start building instead of talking about buying bricks. Or better start with just figs, like this: (I'm pretty sure these guys will kick The Grustrag Three's megablocks. ) When you've done that. Start with little vignettes, and you really don't need a lot of bricks to do so: I really don't get why people waste money on brickforge stuff.
